Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has been out of office over a month and there are still those working at major media outlets that just can't get over their obsessions with dissecting everything the former GOP vice-presidential nominee does.
Case and point - Mark Silva, a blogger for the Chicago Tribune's "The Swamp," in an Aug. 26 post took it upon himself to try to rationalize why Palin would possibly suggest to her friends and followers on social media networks to tune in to Glenn Beck's Aug. 26 program, as NewsBusters' Noel Sheppard alluded to earlier.
"Palin, who campaigned as the Republican Party's candidate for vice president last year with the warning that Democrat Barack Obama was ‘palin' around with terrorists,'' is steering fans of her Facebook site to the TV commentary of FOX News Channel's Glenn Beck, who has been warning viewers this week that Obama is getting his advice from a Communist and other radicals in the White House who have no oversight from Congress," Silva wrote.
According to Silva, it was a win-win situation for Beck, who has been facing attacks from far left-wing storefronts advocating his advertisers pull out of supporting his television show.
"Beck will like this: Palin has more than 800,000 friends, by her Facebook count - up more than 100,000 since she left public office and turned to her private social networking base as a forum for her political views," Silva wrote. "Beck has more than 2 million viewers, and he boasted on air this week that Monday's ratings were through the roof.
And now Palin, at work building up her base, is helping Beck build his."
And according to Silva - Palin's endorsement of Beck was jut like "palin' around with terrorists," since in Silva's view, the Fox News host is the equivalent of some sort of terrorist.
"Talk about ‘palin' around with terrorists,' Silva concluded.

It was hilarious on Beck's program today when he said the White House been emailing him, non-stop, to insist he no longer refer to Van Jones as a "czar" but as some other useless and meaningless title.
The White House didn't have a qualm or anything to say about Glenn informing America that Congress didn't write a word of the Stimulus Bill, it was authored by the radical group, The Apollo Project. No problem with that at all.
Because it's the TRUTH.

The press is doing its job, I imagine she is innudated by the Palin is scum message and she is being led without knowing it.

First, the lady in question has definitely been brainwashed by the constant drumbeat of Palin as "scum." It's one of those liberal dogmas that your associate doesn't even think about any more; it's a conditioned response.

Whatever they do, the Republicans DARE NOT let the media pick their candidate again. Regarding your is she good enough to be President? I would say right now, no, but hey, being a community organizer and half-term senator, both state and national, was good enough for Barack Obama. Maybe the Dems are afraid that the charisma-without-experience thing might work again!

The last go-round, the media picked our candidate, McCain for us. Remember, he was the "only reasonable Republican in the country" Hell, the NY Times endorsed him, that is until after the primary. Then he became an "ultra-conservative" idealogue and dangerous!
The reason why the media loses it's mind over Palin is because she can write two words on Facebook and make Obama break out in the hives!!
Think about it, she's busy writing her book, and frankly, catching some R&R, and really has been hidden away on Lake Lucille. And yet, these leftists get all wee-wee'ed up at the mere mention of her name.
The left doesn't get worked up over people that don't matter. No one boos someone that doesn't matter.
All I can go on, as far as whether she should be POTUS, or not, is her record as Governor, Chairman of the AOGCC, and mayor. If she does half as good a job as POTUS, as she did at these jobs, she'll be on of our best Presidents in history.
At least she actually believes we should follow the Constitution. That's better than most have lately.

Or, maybe because he is wishy-washy on principles. He's really more a Lou Dobbs-style populist than a conservative, but part of the problem (or maybe the reason) is that he is just not that bright.
