Want to see left-wing social activism gone wild?
Take a look at some of the views coming from Antonia Zerbisias, columnist for the Toronto Star's Living section. Zerbisias, posted on her Twitter site she wished renown conservative Michelle Malkin were shot.
"Forget the Marxists. I wish the marksmen would take @MichelleMalkin. I'm thinking Dick Cheney. He's such a great shot," Zerbisias wrote on the social-networking site Twitter.
Zerbisias has trumpeted her left-wing stance on women's issues over the past year, taking hard line positions on abortion.

Aside from questioning former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol Palin's decision to choose not to have an abortion for political reasons, Zerbisias once criticized abstinence as a form of birth control.
"Abstinence kills babies," Zerbisias wrote June 6, 2008. "Every time an egg leaves the ovary, travels down the fallopian highway and is not fertilized, a potential baby goes down the toilet. Of course, I am kidding - yet technically correct."
Zerbisias has even accused the Catholic Church of contributing to the death of thousands of women for its stance on the sanctity of life.
"Every year, 500,000 women die in childbirth, mostly because they have no choice, no contraception, and no access to reproductive medicine," Zerbisias wrote in her March 11 column. "Thanks to the dictates of the Vatican, many of these women are Catholic."
These types of sensational statements are par for the course for Zerbisias. Her Twitter bio describes her as "Toronto Star Columnist, blogger, girl reporter, professional feminista." According to her online Toronto Star bio, she makes a living off of this.
"Antonia Zerbisias, columnist for the Toronto Star's Living section, has been telling people what she thinks ever since she could open her mouth," the bio said. "Her opinionating career dates back to Grade 9 when a cartoon commentary on a teacher resulted in her suspension from high school. The principal sent her home with a note calling her ‘rude, obstreperous and bold.' Her parents were neither amused, nor surprised. Once she was punished for being that way. Now she makes it pay."

Isn't this the same country
April 29, 2009 - 09:06 ET by KC MulvilleIsn't this the same country where a Hate Crimes Commission went after Mark Steyn for saying something unflattering about Islam?
Now we read of a Canadian journalist who muses about killing a conservative, and we're supposed to admire her spunk?
I agree with Mr. Grant.

Uh, Ms. Zerbisias, care during labor and delivery IS 'reproductive medicine.' Abortion is not.
I am sick to death of these feminazis getting away with calling abortion a reproductive health issue! How in the name of Sam Hill does an abortion relate to reporductive HEALTH????
And Zerbisias' 500,000 annual childbirth deaths is B as in B, S as in S.
The number, as noted here, is actually fewer than 600!
And experts think that obesity and an increased rate of C-sections may play a role.
So much for lack of access to "reproductive medicine."
Another "million women dying from anorexia" POS statistic from a lying feminist.

April 29, 2009 - 09:57 ET by OuttaMyWayWell at least now they are openly saying they want us dead, not just implying it.
That is actually a refreshing change. I would rather know that they want to kill me for not thinking like they do, then saying that they love me and won't insult me again. It is good to hear them being honest.
I wish i knew why she wanted to murder Michelle. Oh wait, she is implying it would be a political assination at worse. You know, something they would oppose against someone trying to attack us.

Re Malkin
April 29, 2009 - 10:52 ET by slickwillie2001Good point from KC on facilities. A nominally equipped delivery facility is likely easier to equip than a nominally equipped abortion facility. Deaths in childbirth would also be easiest to remedy though prenatal care, I think.
Michelle should make a complaint to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, or the Ontario version. One of Alinsky's rules is something like 'learn your opponent's rule book and beat them over the head with it'.

April 29, 2009 - 11:34 ET by PrairieSkysome legal grounds to pursue some type of charge against this idiot, Zerbisias? Some type of inciting a hate crime charge, or maybe just something as simple as considering this a threat of physical harm? I'm not a lawyer, but this type of garbage shouldn't always be ignored...These unhinged losers should be challenged and charged (if possible). Maybe then some of them would think twice before they open their mouths or write something reprehensible, if they thought they might end up facing charges.

April 29, 2009 - 12:04 ET by gopcongressI've contacted the Toronto Star and talked to the City Desk. They have indicated to me that management is making a very serious inquiry into this issue, including involving the local authorities. Hopefully, this will become more public as time goes by.
If you want to contact the Star, just google them and look under Contact Us, and navigate to any appropriate department you deem necessary. I feel that the more calls the Star gets, the more serious they will take this charge.
NOTHING short of a full retraction and a very public suspension, if not outright firing, should be a considered. Violence, even in jest, should not be condoned by professional organizations.
Suffice to say that if a conservative were talking about shooting a democrat, the Drive By's would be reporting this near the top of their broadcast.

This woman is advocating the murder of someone she disagrees with, what a nice tollerent facsist.
Actually, she should'nt be hauled in front of the Human Rights Tribunal Steyne faced, she should be investigated by the RCMP & FBI. Anything happens to Michelle Malkin, this woman is on the hook as far as I'm concerned.
