'Progressive' Talk Host Stephanie Miller Blames Liberal Radio Struggles on Station Owners

Photo of Jeff Poor.

Everywhere it's been tried - liberal, or progressive as it's sometimes described as, talk radio hasn't taken off with the success conservative talk radio has.

Case and point - the top six of March 2009 Talkers magazine "Heavy Hundred" talk show hosts are conservative.  The top liberal host, Thom Hartmann, come in at number 10. However, liberal talk show host Stephanie Miller appeared on CNN's April 5 "Reliable Sources" and insisted there is more at play than just pure market forces holding the liberal format back.

"Well, you know - I just did a panel on the Fairness Doctrine," Miller said. "I have to tell you, I brought ratings information. And people like me and Ed Schultz are consistently beating conservative shows in many, many markets. And yet - there is 10 percent liberal radio in this country. Ninety percent of the stations are conservative. You just cannot argue anymore it's because liberal radio can't compete."

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

Miller claimed she's not for the Fairness Doctrine, however she blamed station owners for being more willing to drop liberal formats and not conservative format - a sign of the lack of "fairness." She cited the demise of Washington, D.C.'s "Obama 1260" radio station that went away in February.

"You know, I'm not for the Fairness Doctrine," Miller continued. "But, I'm for fairness. You know, you can bring up any market - you know Howard, you bring up Washington, that's actually a good point. The station had no signal, no format that has ever been on that station got ratings. So they had that same company has a right-wing station that has no better ratings and they didn't drop that format."

Station owners be warned - certain Democratic senators are taking notice of this, Miller pointed out.

"So, that's what Democratic senators are starting to look at is there have been markets where we're number one in the market where they were going to drop the format," Miller said. "That's getting Democratic senators' attention. I'll tell you that."

Steve Malzberg, the host of New York City's 710 WOR "The Steve Malzberg Show," also appeared on the "Reliable Sources" segment with Miller. He noted that one of those senators that has recently spoken out about the Fairness Doctrine, Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., had a potential conflict of interest that was ignored by the press.

"I like the Democratic senators, like Debbie Stabenow, whose husband has interest and has had interest in liberal talk radio," Malzberg said. "She goes on the record and says, ‘Yes, we're going to hold hearings. We're going to fix it. We're going to level the playing field.' And here husband has an interest and the mainstream media is silent about that - give me a break."

Miller is a kook

No matter how many times they fail because not enough people listen, it doesn't matter. It HAS to be some underhanded trick by those EEEVVVVILLLL right-wing connected station owners.

Liberals are #1 is some market?????

Why doesn't Stephanie Miller just put those 'ratings' she is touting out into the public domain so people who actually know that 6 is bigger than 5 can read these 'ratings' and prove that liberals exactly who we say they are - losers in the market of ideas.

Stephanie Miller and all her liberal 'talk show host' friends have yet to make a case which plays anywhere outside of Berkeley or Boulder.  Even in NYC they get their butts kicked on a daily basis.

Miller!

The only market that Stephanie Miller might dominate, would be the one inside of her house!  She's just another windbag!

blazermaniac... Right you

blazermaniac...

Right you are!

Did you or anyone else happen to catch her along with her radio side-kick try out for the morning spot of Imus after he was fired?

Talk about pathetic...along with her bells and whistles for sound effects...plus the toys on her desk..talk about grammar school humor...

I was glad I knew who she was beforehand, it made it that much more enjoyable.

MILLER SLIME...

Miller & other lib/progressive talkers do well in CERTAIN markets. They do ok in places like Portland, Madison, Seattle, SanFran, Boston, & a few other mid-major cities with a large college campus, but other then that, lib/progressive talk radio is a no-go. The station can't make money when they can't sell ad time because they have no ratings. The free market capitalist system is a bitch when it is allowed to apply economic Darwinism in a competitive industry. This is where the left fails in radio.

The biggest problem is that there are few front line quality lefty talkers. Miller, Schultz, , Joe N'Mika, Lionel,Rhodes, Malloy, Colmes, RFKjr/Papantonio, & that Maddow guy are the main players...Then you look at the right, El-Rushbo, Hannity, Beck, Ingraham, Levin, Quinn & Rose, Savage, Hedgecock, Lewis, Gibson, Bachelor, Cunningham, Humphries, & so on are doing well & need no help from the gov't other then to stay out of the way. Then you see a fill-in guy like Mark Steyne, who has no show, & is also better & more entertaining then most on the left who HAVE a show.

It about quality content, & no matter how much the left wants to force libs on the radio, you can't make us listen. The truth sucks because the ratings never lie.

"The Fairness Doctrine = Jim Crow laws for Conservatives".  Jim Quinn from "Quinn & Rose"

Maybe it's the presentation?

I would argue that there is zero 'quality' in liberalism. But to be fair, maybe it's their presentation? Rush and others have a sense of humor whereas these liberal kooks do not. And they prefer vitriol over substance

"I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them."
George Mason

SERGEANT ROCK...

You are right in bringing up presentation in regards to having a something worth listening to. But the other thing was that lib/progressive networks & stations was having a name. People like Mario Coumo, Al Franken, Janine Garofalo, Whoopi, & for 1 night, Alec Baldwin, are all big name libs who took a swing at talk radio. They all went down in flames. Big names don't = Big ratings.

Look at the conservative kingpins. El-Rushbo, Hannity, & Beck are just 3, & all came have a radio backround. They understand how it works, & that is the biggest thing that I see being the difference between success & failure.

"The Fairness Doctrine = Jim Crow laws for Conservatives".  Jim Quinn from "Quinn & Rose"

Experience vs. Message

While that is true, I believe that people are interested in the 'message'. Rush is successful because he can articulate that message. And he does it with a dose of humor that makes it entertaining as well as informative.

As for the liberal pablum, you get the same thing that you see on the liberal networks. Also, liberals may have a hard time absorbing the liberal tripe without pictures and video. Hence, it's failure to capture a large audience.

"I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them."
George Mason

In DC, Too.

The NoVA/DC/Maryland area region that constitutes the phrase "Inside the Beltway" is notoriously liberal, so liberal that even the Republicans who could win election in Montgomery County (MD) were for all intents and purposes RINOs.  And Obama 1260 still couldn't make it here.  It's not the EEEEEEEEVILLLLLLLLL station owners, it's that nobody wants to listen to a bunch of whiny libtards.  That's it.

I defy Stephanie to put up (her ratings) or shut up (her whining).

Radio owners pass up ratings, and profits, for ideology? Please

So radio station owners are so ideological that they'll pass up winning programs like Ed Schultz for ratings losers like Hannity and Limbaugh?  Puh-leez!  I wonder what Steph's ratings information shows?  Maybe they're winning in heavily leftie markets with gay college students and university professors, or some such highly selective demographic.

Conservative radio dominates because there is a hunger for it.  Liberal radio is redundant because liberalism dominates the rest of the media, the so-called objective news outlets.  It's not necessary.,

When you put the clowns in charge, don't be surprised when a circus breaks out.

Money

petitjean : Station owners pay great attention to ratings. I worked for a radio station years ago and knew that our ad revenues-read money- were directly tied to our ratings. The station owner was a virulent anti-semite but catered to his largely Jewish audience for money. It galled him and though I was a kid, I was amused. He even covered the weddings of Jewish high society in our town. Not because he liked doing so  but because he wanted money.

The flip side of this was a Jewish business partner of mine. He had blonde hair and blue eyes and would end up joining the KKK to make business contact in the South. His name didn't give him away and he was a rabid racist in public and despised the Klan in private, though he had nice satin sheets ornamented with his badges of rank.

When he and I would visit prospective clients in the South, he would make the most anti-semitic comments I ever heard and tried to get me to make similar comments. I simply couldn't do that and he would excuse my misbehavior by saying, he is young and doesn't know how evil the Jews are. I kept my mouth shut as he wrote business. When we had business dinners, I simply could not eat.

It might be possible for a small number of station owners to allow politics to trump money but that is not the way the world usually works.

I am a Southerner from a background of hill farmers. few Blacks lived among us but we had lots of Indians. All were welcome in our house as long as they behaved decently. We did have to ask some whites and Indians to leave when they became drunk or otherwise obnoxious. My family insisted on Christian treatment of all people and their livestock. They had their limitations but lived their beliefs in a harmless manner and did much good to neighbors and strangers.

The motives of station owners are fairly transparent. The motives are usually profit. If an owner can't make money with Al Franken or similar people, they won't get air time.

The trouble with the Left seems to be a complete lack of logic and emotion replaces logical functions. I ran into the same sort of narcissim when I taught university classes. Students would earn a grade of 25% on four question multiple choice  tests snf demand an  as they we pre-med or destined for a a high calling in life. I would calmly explain that I had no use for a doctor who could not do better than pure chance on an exam. I would expect them to use one of the magic eight balls as diagnostic sources. The prospect scares me.

I have grown children who labor unde a false sense of briliance. The outcomes, I suspect future deterioration in the professions.

Liberal Projection

That's because they're projecting. What was that paper in Chicago that O'Reilly talked about last week that failed after declaring they would be straight-up 'liberal' a while back?

Again, we have a demonstration of 'liberal projection'. If I'm guilty of such a thing, then my political adversaries must be guilty of it as well.

"I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them."
George Mason

Well, she's more intelligent than Voinovich.

""You know, I'm not for the Fairness Doctrine," Miller continued. "But, I'm for fairness."

I heard this idiot Republican Senator on Hannity's show said he was FOR the Fairness Doctrine because he was for fairness, too.  Somebody should name some unpopular amendment "The Fluffy Bunny" law.

Don't worry about George

He's retiring after this term.

Don't know what happened to him over the years. He helped revitalize Cleveland after the terrible "Dennis the mennis" Kucinich years.

"It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." Mark Twain

Ignatz

I haven't understood George's drift to the left on important issues. He was an exceptional Mayor and Governor who understood the basic issues of fiscal responsibility and solvency.

Having lived in Cuyahoga County during Dennis' mayorality. I still can visualize the the Mad Magazine cartoon parody of Dennis. The "What Me Worry?" character with Dennis' face fit into the cartoon is priceless and still fits his approach to things.

Malzberg made a fool of

Malzberg made a fool of Miller today....which isn't hard to do anyway if one has a brain that is centered on reality and works... I watched the whole show today...

Howie really disappointed me more than usual...and that is saying a lot.

Btw...if you haven't ever heard Malzberg's radio show...try it...some of you may like it...I accidentally hit his show one day... he says it like it is...granted I haven't caught that many shows yet, but sure have liked the ones I have heard.

Blinders

Liberals will never acknowledge the audience of NPR. Rush Limbaugh may have the number one conservative radio program in the nation, but NPR has the #2 and #3 liberal programs, and together they have close to twice the audience of Limbaugh.

Can they consider that if not for NPR, hosts like Hartmann, Miller and Schultz might make it commercially? On the other hand, why don't these hosts go to NPR and ask for a time slot?

This is nonsense.

Because they want it all . . .

I saw Senator Leonid Schumer in a TV interview when he called for a return to the Fainess Doctrine.  The interviewer, citing NPR programming heavily subsidized by taxpayer dough, asked if FD would cover NPR too.

Schumer said "No, because NPR is not commercial broadcasting."  Aaah-so.

So, taxdollar-funded NPR is exempt from fairness, but commercially-owned radio stations aren't.

Like fascists and communists, they merely want it all.

That's hilarious, but not

That's hilarious, but not surprising.

Too bad the interviewer didn't ask what conservative-leaning broadcaster  the government was going to subsidize with our tax money, to balance that out!

Politicians are always good at exempting themselves from the burdens they place on others.   Liberals most of all.

They might say "Wow, that sucks!"  But at least they'll say "Wow!"  -Duff Goldman, the Ace of Cakes

Apply the same logic to TV

FoxNews slaughters the other cable shows. Slaughters them.

So if there's such a market to capture, why doesn't one of the other networks, or some new network, jump in as the "conservative alternative?"

Pining for the Good Ol' Days

I am sorry that the Lionel show on Air America has failed.  He is one of the brightest bulbs in the radio industry.  Lionel reminds me of Jean Shepherd from some 30 years ago, the author of “A Christmas Story.”   Lionel, like Jean Shepherd, spent more time on Americana than most radio talk shows today.  I can get Rush’s or Hannity’s daily message in about 60 seconds.  The rest is anesthetizing.  Jean Shepherd told stories, painted pictures, created bedtime visual images (Advertiser:  Flying Birds), just as radio should.  Lionel tried, but I think the media is too fragmented now for his brand of broadcasting to succeed.

And so we move on.

I can get Rush’s or

I can get Rush’s or Hannity’s daily message in about 60 seconds

Because you dont listen or understand the message, you actually need "stories, painted pictures, created bedtime visual image" just like an infant.

Nuke em til they glow then shoot em in the dark.

there aren't enough

conservative journalists and reporters to form another station :P  And face it - if they could act they wouldn't be doing 'news'.

plus there's all those right-winger cooties.

The money quote

"And people like me and Ed Schultz are consistently beating conservative
shows in many, many markets. And yet - there is 10 percent liberal
radio in this country"

Beating conservatives in San Francisco, NYC, Berkley, etc. But then they only make up about 10% of the market. If there were the ratings elsewhere then they would be on the air in those places. If you look at an election map by the counties you can easily look at the small, populated areas where liberals rein.  But don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant.

"DumbAssity of Dope"

She and Ed are beating a lot of conservative radio shows?

Could we get stats on this?  What are they beating?  Conservative organic gardening?  Maybe they're beating off each other but....

"To sin by silence when we should protest, makes cowards of men" -Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Stephanie

Content, content, content= increased listenership/viewership/readership.

The same has happened in cable and print media. The best content gets rewarded with increased readership. In print media, the loss of readership is lessened by great content.

Can't We Just Get Some Truth?

I dunno if it's just me, but it seems that Liberals have a hard time telling the truth.

If what she says is true, on one hand, then Progressive (where on earth did that term come from ad what the hell does it mean?) radio should be flourishing and whipping the ass of Conservative talk everywhere. I mean, if Liberal radio is beating Conservative in "many, many" markets, then what's the problem? If the ratings are so good in "many, many" markets, then Liberal radio should be on the rise like a rocket.

If what she says is true, on the other hand, that 90% of talk is Conservative, then why would those stations not be defecting to Liberal talk by the hundreds if Lib talk is beating Conservative talk in "many, many" markets? They want you to believe that they're whooping up but if they were then stations, if even for purely monetary reasons, would hands down choose Lib talk. The problem is that Lib talk may be doing well in some areas but those some only represent 10% of the market.

Other than NPR, radio stations have to turn a profit. If they turn a better profit with Conservative radio then that's what they will program. It's as simple as that. If 90% of talk radio is Conservative then it seems perfectly plausible that the stations can and do make more money programming what yields the best profit. There should be no issue with that. Artifically massaging the market to make it more fair for programming that people won't listen to is akin to making cars that people won't buy. People will just turn the dial to what they really want to hear.

That's the truth that the Libs can't seem to come to grips so they think legislation is the answer to increase listenership for unlistenable shows.

2 things

1) "Progressive" is just an attempt at repackaging the product. I can just imagine the smoke pouring out of their little acorn sized brains while they were trying to come up with an "answer" to Liberal radio's failure. Guess "bad products don't sell" never dawned on them. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck ... it's a duck. Liberal radio, Progressive radio ... they both stink.

B)  "Artifically massaging the market to make it more fair for programming
that people won't listen to is akin to making cars that people won't
buy. People will just turn the dial to what they really want to hear."
Exactly, but I can see Comrade Zero and his merry band of zilches stepping in and "TARPing" stations for the "betterment of the country". Afterall, radio stations are part of the Emergency Broadcast Network ... that would be there excuse for not letting stations fail and stepping in.

"It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." Mark Twain

Here's a tip for failing liberal talk radio...

Ya sell crap.  No one wants to buy crap.

If you level the playing field, it almost always ends up lowered...so the weak don't fail as they should.

Islam is a lie and truth is killing it.

What if Bush...

If Obama can fire (suggest they leave) CEO's of companies accepting gov't funding, does that mean President Bush could have fired the head of NPR in the name of "fairness"?

Hey, how about those Lions?

If we think that a level playing field is all the Liberal talk show hosts need, I'm pretty sure that the Detroit Lions played(?) on the same fields as the teams that kicked their butts sixteen times last season.

I'm not adept with pasting links, if that's the right term, but if you haven't see  the following press release, you might enjoy it. ( And if anyone can give me a tip here, I'd appreciate it.)

Steelers to loose Super Bowl Trophies

Pittsburgh, PA. The Super Bowl XLIII Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, the only team to win six titles, will soon be loosing half of those trophies. After a meeting between NFL Commissioner Rodger Gadel and President Barack Hussain Obama, Obama decided to redistribute half of their Steeler Super Bowl victories and trophies to less fortunate teams in the league.

"We live everyday in the country that invented the Super Bowl." said Obama "We are not about to lose this Great American tradition in the wake of these difficult times." Obama’s plan calls for the Steelers, who are a successful NFL team, to give half of their Super Bowl trophies to teams that are not successful or have not been as successful as the Steelers. "The Detroit Lions are just as much a part of the same fiber of the NFL as the Steelers and they should, no rather will, be entitled to a Super Bowl Trophy as well." Obama explains in his plan that he has imposed on Godel and the NFL.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, who by virtue of hard work, excellent team play, stellar draft choices, responsible investing of free agents, careful hiring of coaches and excellent community service and commitment to their fans, has prospered greatly during the past 30 years and have won six Super Bowl Trophies. But President Barack Hussain Obama’s plan calls for the Pittsburgh Steelers to carry the larger burden of the NFL’s less successful teams. Obama went on to further proclaim, "In these difficult times we are all in this to work together. We must reclaim the NFL Championship Dream for every team, for every city and for every fan."

"My plan will not affect 31 of the 32 teams in the league." Obama assures. That’s over 95 percent of the teams in the NFL will not have to worry about loosing any Super Bowl Trophies. "The worst teams in the NFL and the teams that can’t seem to get a break and win a championship will no longer have to worry about going without a title." Obama promises. "We are a country and league of hope. We all need to make a change. It does not matter the color of the teams uniforms, the personal decisions that the teams make or their performance but rather if they are a member of this great American league."

The Super Bowl XLIII trophy will be redistributed to the 0-16 Detroit Lions. Through no fault of their own incompetence, the Lions could not manage a victory all season and this trophy will help ease the pain of their lack of performance and give them hope once again. The redistribution of Super Bowl XL trophy will go directly to the Steeler’s division rival the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals who also have fallen on hard times have never won a Super Bowl. This victory will bring a smile to hundreds of Bengal fans all over the world as they can now celebrate. Finally, one of the Steeler’s two Super Bowl victories over the Dallas Cowboys will go back to the Cowboys since the league needs to provide hope in the face of difficulty and provide hope in the face of uncertainty. This is a heavy burden for the Steelers but together we can all prosper.

All hope is not lost for Pittsburgh fans, Barack Hussain Obama has another plan in place. Obama has meet with MLB and commissioner Bud Selig on a similar plan. The New York Yankees will redistribute two of their world series trophies to the Pittsburgh Pirates as a supplement to their loosing 16 straight seasons and counting. This plan will help stimulate the Pirates and enable them to regain the American Dream. Barack Hussain Obama will be meeting with the NHL and Michael Phelps in the upcoming weeks as this issue is high on his agenda for "Hope and Change."

Steelers must now share their wealth and fruits of their success and hard work.

Obama provides hope to NFL teams.

oh yeah, i forgot

NOT MY STEELERS!!!!

Well don't worry there,

Well don't worry there, Stephanie dear- the reason your show has failed, like so many other lib talkers, was the result of a bygone era- capitalism...

Liberal, Progressive....... Socialist, Communist

Will someone kindly inform our LibProSoComs that life is not FAIR! We're not playing sandlot baseball! Radio is an industry with the intention of making MONEY! Why do these LibComs think their Utopian form of collective enterprise has failed over all the world? Fair doesn't work or sell! Imagine if the NFL had to subscribe to a fairness doctrine for each game. Lets say Joe Montana at his peak has a back up such as our Chicago failure, Rex Grossman! Montana throws a touchdown pass and is replaced by Grossman who throws an interception for a touchdown. The Fans would be highly teed off and as this dumbassity continued, attendance would drop off. Eventually, Grossman would get the ax and the NFL would see the error of its ways. In radio this occurred in 1987 and has been proven to be correct! The problem with LibComs is they believe they can MAKE it Work! Just like all the other Commie legislation they're shoving down our throats in the name of URGENCY! I have one word for it all:

BULLCRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miller

I used to listen to her when she went by "sister sleaze"

on WCMF in upstate NY. Her dad was Goldwaters VP candidate.

Must be she is still rebelling !

I believe her when she basically says radio stations don't want to make money. /s

FUBO

miller

Oh no Stephanie it couldn't be because you left wing talk radio people are awful and noone wants to listen to you.  Why that would mean you have to take responsibility.  Oh the horror!!!!

"there have been markets

"there have been markets where we're number one in the market where they were going to drop the format"

And pray tell, which markets are these?  Stations, shows, and Arbitron ratings only, please.  No B***S**T allowed.

Let me guess...

Austin, TX

Madison, WI

Portland, OR

Berkeley, CA

San Francisco

Cambridge, MA

I actually like Stephanie Miller

Most liberal talk shows are very angry and bitter. Stephanie Miller's is actually light hearted anda fun, and she is the only liberal talk radio I can stand.

He had my vote

Methinks she fibs

Sorry Stephie. If you're ahead of the Cons in some markets, wouldn't you proudly PROCLAIM which markets? Unless it's just a few small suburbs of Frisco (there, I said "Frisco") and not actual cities like, oh I don't know: Los Angeles, New York, Boston, you'd say, "Hey, we're kicking it great in L.A.!" You probably don't say it because (just guessing) it ain't true.

And a pig by any other name is still a pig

And a pig by any other name is still a pig. They are pushing the fairness doctrine. Do you seriously believe she has any proof of liberals winning in the ratings. Do you really think any liberal could go up against Rush? Please. Who can take listening to liberals after a while? This is because even liberals get sick of themselves after a while. They can only hold on to their beliefs as long as they are never challenged. Conservatives have reasons that can be articulated and debated. They generally stand for something more solid. Liberals don't because they are run on feelings and we all know feelings can be affected by a ham sandwich. Feelings don't make sense. Feelings deceive. This past election proved my point in spades.
TSF Protests!

Watching this I was not surprised

Miller is an empty suit.

Watching in real time I was a bit surprised just how dumb she really is.

She actually said, "Liberal talk radio had better ratings than Conservative talk"? What?

She wants to blame the Owners? Ok. If I was an owner, I'd cancel her ticket because..

 NO ONE IS LISTENING!

AND I CAN'T SELL ADVERTISING!

Yep, I is to blame for shutting her down because I AM THE BOSS and I AM IN CHARGE OF THE BOTTOM LINE!

Here's a thought for

Here's a thought for Stephanie Miller: Why don't you become one of these station owners and put your money where your mouth is?  Yeah.  Didn't think so.

"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." -Winston Churchill

Put Up

Stephanie, show us the ratings reports of which you speak.

They don't exist, and this twit gets to make her allegation without her feet being held to the fire. That's liberalism for you.

Liberals are funny, though: they fly in the face of evidence and don't care, they keep endlessly pushing for what they demand. It's the lawyer's creed: "It ain't over 'til we get what he want."

Why doesn't she care about these deficiencies?

Hmm, I'd think as a feminist she should be worried about the lack of women on the list. Shouldn't they represent about 50% of the hosts. As not a racist she should point out that there are no Hispanic or Asians on the list. They should represent what 20% or so. There aren't 15% black hosts either. There are lots of things she should be concerned about if she really cared, but alas as a liberal she doesn't care about anything as long as she gets a big paycheck that doesn't bounce. Instead of working harder and getting better to attract an audience she wants the government to force people to listen to her.

Even if Miller is

Even if Miller is right....so what? If I own a station and want to air Conservative broadcasting only, that's up to me. There is no right to hear what you want to hear in this country, and their is no right to have your show broadcast over someone elses. Anyone who doesn't like it can buy their own station and broadcast what they like.

DUH!

Stephanie Miller is an idiot!  CNN seems to be the only network who cares about what she has to ramble on about.  She seems to be very much in love with herself, believing she is witty, insightful, and uproariously funny.  Why does Larry King Almost-Alive care about her opinions - she seems to be a semi-regular panelist on that washed-up show.

You Go, Girl!

Latest Ratings:

1.  Rush - 14.75+

Why is it that the

Why is it that the simple-minded, don't understand the simple things.

Station owners are more "willing" to drop liberal formats than conservative format talk shows because no on is listening to the liberal ones.  (At least, no where near the numbers that are listening to conservative stations.)

Of course, those who suckle at the teat of NPR can't understand the concept of shows and stations and formats and networks rising and falling upon whether they have (or don't have) listeners and viewers.

If Ms. Miller can pull more listeners than Rush Limbaugh in any given market, I can guarantee her that Rush will get the boot and she'll replace him.

(Not bloody likely, though...)

The ongoing Libtard

The ongoing Libtard disconnect from reality.

Sad.

One of the 34% who thinks George W. Bush was a great President. One of the 61% who wants to bring back the stock and pillory (yep...approval for Congress now at 39%...do you believe that!?).

NPR

NPR is where liberal get their radio fix.... how did Error Amerikka hope to compete?
