CNBC has been a hotbed for commentary - both left and right, from Rick Santelli's call for a tea party on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange to the hiring of former Democratic Committee Chairman Howard Dean as a CNBC contributor.
This time, one of the hosts on CNBC's March 26 "Power Lunch" dropped an expletive during President Barack Obama's online town hall meeting as the network broke away from their coverage (h/t Breitbart.tv):
PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: One last point I want to make and I know I'm not suppose to talk this long ...
UNIDENTIFIED CNBC HOST: Bull****.
"POWER LUNCH" CO-HOST BILL GRIFFITH: Bill Griffith here (nervous chuckle) and the rest of the "Power Lunch" gang stepping in for just a moment here as we continue the virtual town hall.
It's not clear whether the remark was commentary on Obama's town hall speech itself or if it was coincidental timing.

Bulls**t
March 26, 2009 - 15:50 ET by traderjamesAfter listening to the clip several times, My conclusions:
A. It is a female
B. It is either Sue Herrara, or Michelle Caruso Cabrera.
C. I am inclined to think (or maybe hope) that it is MCC, solely because Sue has this kindly 'mother hen' type image in my mind, and it would greatly disappoint me if I found out it was her.
I am a serial watcher/listener of CNBC, but I missed that particular part of the day. It seems as if she is commenting on what he said before the 'one last comment' comment, something about infrastructure and workers.
Agreed - MCC
March 26, 2009 - 15:58 ET by CaringwhiteguyI agree on the MCC part. Not so sure about the context though. It could have been directed at BHO, but just as easily could have been directed at someone else off-mike, off-camera.
But let's give MCC kudos. More often than not she is on the side of truth, justice and the American way.
context
March 26, 2009 - 18:30 ET by traderjamesAfter further thought, I agree. It is actually not knowable what she was referring to. Maybe something Dennis Keale whispered in her ear...
One Term President
March 26, 2009 - 15:51 ET by RpeggioObama and team are losing the faith of many of their followers with their amateurism and over-reaching...you're looking at 1-term President folks.
I just hope Romney can clean up the incredible debt and deficits Obama spends us into in his 4 years!
Well this inquiring mind
March 26, 2009 - 15:52 ET by bigtimerWell this inquiring mind sure would like to know who said what to who and what the BS comment was applied to ...was it to O and what he was just blathering about here?
Anyway..if it was to the blather by O...I couldn't agree more.

Sounds like a female co-host
March 26, 2009 - 16:05 ET by OxyCon...calling bullsh*t on one of Obama's statements, if you ask me.
Won't be long before Doughboy Robert Gibbs tracks her down and uses the office of the President to attack her, while the rest of the White House attack dogs call on their left wing minions in the media and elsewhere to destroy her.

Anyone taking bets
March 26, 2009 - 16:36 ET by Joe CamelAnyone taking bets on if this was intentional or not? Everyone knows this guy is a liar, so they just called him on it. Bout time. Now, if the 98% of those people who see no wrong with this crackhead would open their eyes, maybe things would change.
That's the problem we face!
March 26, 2009 - 17:10 ET by mostlymoderateThat's the problem we face! The Obama crowd is very cultish; even if what Obama does is patently wrong or inconsistent with American values (i.e. Constitution) they are not going to call him on it. It has never been about Obama's actions, experience, qualifications, plans or communications. It is his image the Obamites pride. I also think a lot of the Bush Derangement Syndrome folks are happy that ANYONE but Bush is in office. Even if that person is the devil himself and even if they have to take the country down to make a point.
I am going to have to go
March 26, 2009 - 17:05 ET by mostlymoderateI am going to have to go with bull$#1t also. Yup, Obama is completely full of bull$#1t. No doubt about it.

bad timing
March 26, 2009 - 18:06 ET by TjexciteI think it was coincidence of when they turn the Mic on back in the studio. They where not ready for it and it was part of their conversation in studio. it may have be about TOTUS and his plan but one will never know.

Re President BS

They way I "read" it was
March 26, 2009 - 18:03 ET by BKeyserThey way I "read" it was that the "bullsh*t" remark was in response to Obama saying that he knows he's not "to talk this long..." The man is a now-notorious filibuster-er, and "speaking this long" has been his way of not answering the question posed to him. My thought was that the rest of the sentence was, "Bullsh*t, because if you watched the presser the other night, it's clear that talking too long is your forte!"
As to who said it- does it really matter? It could've been any one of at least half of those attending. But maybe I'm reading too much into it...
Rest of the Comment...
March 26, 2009 - 18:12 ET by rightwingidiotUsing a super-secret and highy sophisticated audio extension and extrapolation program, the following is the continuation of the comment.
"Bull**it you dumbass, lying terd! You couldn't find your ass with both hands nor lead us out of a paper bag you jerkwad dimwit.
This entire virtual townhall crap is just another way for you to get your ugly mug on TV and spew more socialist crap out of your never-closed piehole. Holy sh*t, shut the hell up already!
Get to work you lazy ass and quit with the TV appearances already. We don't want what you're selling you crap-ass used car salesman."

The professionalism of the NBC franchise.
March 26, 2009 - 18:45 ET by mizflame98It seems like open mic gaffes are a common occurence with the NBC franchise. I wonder what kind of doofuses they hire there. I'm not only talking about the commentators. It seems like NBC, MSNBC, and CNBC are run like frat houses.
