If we impeached a president every time someone got sick from salmonella in this country, Inauguration Day would become Inauguration/Impeachment Day.

Lou, we elect Presidents, not gods.  Even if your complaints about the FDA are accurate, that 's no guarantee that this outbreak wouldn't have happened.  If you expect the Chief Executive to be able to protect us from everything that might go wrong, your expectations are far too high.

By that standard shouldn't ever member of Congress who is coddling to illegal immigrants also be impeached/recalled?  How many people in this country have died at the hands of an illegal immigrant.  My guess is it is more than 383.

I seem to remember proposals over the years, and again recently with an E-Coli scare, proposals for irradiation of foods, including vegatibles to kill dangerous bacteria. I would then assume, that the left would be opposed to such - after all millions of radical leftists remain fearfull of what microwave ovens do to food when reheating them, and refuse to use them.

I live in Florida...the news here is saying it isn't at the farm level but at the distribution or processing level (according to the FDA). They are also checking in Mexico. This will cost the Florida growers millions in revenue.
