Lib Comedian Lizz Winstead Maligns Motherhood as 'Indentured Servitude'
Ever wonder why more women are reluctant to describe themselves as feminists?
Purported comedian and Stepford liberal Lizz Winstead demonstrated why on yesterday's Ed Schultz radio show. (audio clip after page break)
After mispronouncing her name, Schultz asked Winstead to describe her upcoming book, "Lizz Free or Die: Essays" (audio) --
SCHULTZ: Tell me about the book. What's happening?
WINSTEAD: Oh my God. Well, the book comes out May 10th and, you know, it's a fun little romp that gives people a little bit of an indication as to sort of where I got to this place in my life. Because, you know, even as a young girl, Ed, it's so interesting that we're in this time now, because even as a young girl I'm somebody who was like, I never liked dolls, you know? One time my mom gave me a stove, a toy stove, for Christmas and I was like, are you kidding?! Even at 8, I was like, cooking is not a game. You know, this is not a game. I want to be outside. I want to do anything but cook and have a baby that pees and that you call that a game. That is not a game, that is a baby that pees. That is not fun for me. That's indentured servitude.
Yet another example of how "choice" to leftists is about limiting a woman's choices, not expanding them.
What a shock that Winstead is an ardent supporter of Planned Parenthood. Don't be surprised if she branches off with an organization titled, Parenthood -- What the Hell For?!
Fortunately for humanity, her views aren't the norm. If they were, chances are you wouldn't be reading this.
Perhaps Winstead will elaborate in that "fun little romp" of a book coming out in May. Is it just women who become indentured servants if they focus primarily on raising their children, or does this also extend to stay-at-home dads? Is the welfare state sustainable without the people denigrated by liberals as "breeders" providing it with plenty of future taxpayers?
I'm reminded of an editorial cartoon from the late '70s during the battle over the proposed Equal Rights Amendment. It showed a woman pushing a boulder labeled "ERA" up a steep hill. In the background, men could be seen walking away. "Where do you pigs think you're going?", the woman fumes.
Winstead turns to women who embrace parenting and asks -- Why are you slaves going that way?

Again, this is NOT news. Liberals have always felt this way. Except they look at motherhood as slavery, not 'indentured servitude'.
Hopefully libs never reproduce*

Self absorbed narcissists are totally unable to feel empathy or affection for anything or anyone other than themselves. There is no maternalistic feelings nor nuturing in these people. We know it doesn't exist because they have no problem killing their own unborn.
We can only pray that women like this NEVER give birth.
Actually...

you are right that it is NOT news.
However, i would add a caveat, i really do wish that it were ALL liberals, unfortunately, it is not.
If it were, then perhaps in a generation or so, there wouldn't be any left.
Oh, wait, maybe it is, and that's why they take over the schools... so that they can indoctrinate OTHER PEOPLES CHILDREN.
Now i get it.

Whew. I don't think motherhood, the stork, or a baby bump are in her future, because I'm pretty sure that whatever precedes all of that won't ever be a worry for her. No Fluke-ing out for contraceptives, because I doubt she'd have many prospects to use them. Maybe Ed? (Now, just try to get that image out of your mind!)

A rather bleak description of her mom, her self, and nature. I bet she hates ducklings, fawns and bunnies too.
Yup...

I'm sure she hates them, and, like PETA, would happily kill them (PETA has a very high "pet kill" ratio), but for gosh sakes do NOT eat or wear them!
I hope Winstead's mother heard this.

I hope Winstead's mother heard this, so perhaps the two of them can discuss it.

Lizz Winstead presents moral conundrum to even the most ardent pro-life advocate. A one "woman" poster child for post-partum abortion. With dead limbs on Darwin's evolutionary tree like her, it makes one wonder, why interfere with an oddity of nature? Who among us wants to create any barriers that might prevent her from not bringing a child into this world.
Abortion advocates should start using the term "Rape or incest or Lizz Winstead ".

Too bad Lizz's mother did not take her advice. A broken, withering dead limb on Darwins evolutionary tree.

who choose not to have children. There is nothing wrong with that choice. However, to see it as indentured servitude shows how selfish she is. Taking care of someone else, when made of free will, is not servitude. It's love. Something liberals seem to know nothing about.

Yep. My little sis doesn't want children. Her choice. She doesn't denigrate me or our other sis for choosing to have a child so it's all good.
When will libs get it that "diversity" and "inclusion" means accepting other POV's, NOT shoving their POV's down other people's throats!!!

You have here one of the pearls of great price that Jesus spoke of. True love is total commitment with no compromise. When it comes time to say goodbye to the object of that love one enters a whole new world of freedom, but a freedom that is unwanted. It is like the world of freedom a released prisoner of many years enters. A strange world where one feels lonely, empty and useless without friends or companionship.
I don't believe that liberals are capable of total committment based on unselfish love because the center of liberals seem to be themselves. This is evidenced by the vast numbers of discarded bodies under their bus, and by the over 55,000,000 dead americans on the altar of "altar of "choice".
Jesus Loves You so much He died for you

You can blame the "liberal" but the conservative is as much to blame for creating this holocaust of innocent babies being literally butchered when Nixon (a conservative) nominated Blackman (a conservative) to the Supreme Court.
it was Ike ( a Republican) who nominated Earl Warren ( a Republican) to be the Chief Justice of the SC. The Warren Court handed down some of the most liberal court decisions on record. One of those court decisions nullified public school prayer.Kicking God out of public schools started this whole feminization revolt and war against the unborn.
"Conservative" Republican Senators confirmed his nomination to head the Supreme Court that has brought on the liberal activism of that branch of the federal government equaling the mess FDR created when he was "packing" the court with liberal appointees.
Wow.

I find this quite comical! Women want to be able to do anything that men do, fight in the front lines, become firemen, play golf in a men's private club, but they don't want to do the thing that only they can do....have babies!
Women shouldn't have the choice!!
Submitted by motherbelt on Sat, 04/07/2012 - 8:12am.
As the famous feminist Simone de Beauvoir said:
"No woman should be authorized [by whom, pray tell?] to stay at home and raise her children. Society should be totally different. Women should not have that choice, precisely because if there is such a choice, too many women will make that one."
IOW, society has to protect women from their own stupidity.
But these same "stupid" women are supposed to be smart enough to run businesses, multinational corporations, and yes, even governments!
That does say something about child rearing, doesn't it.
