Matthews Compares Conservative Cartoon for Kids to Cambodian Re-Education, Mao Propaganda
Former Arkansas Governor and possible 2012 presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has produced a cartoon series that offers a decidedly conservative alternative to the typical liberal bilge that kids are inundated with on TV and in schools across the nation and Chris Matthews is not happy about it.
On Thursday's Hardball Matthews played a clip from the kids show that featured an animated Ronald Reagan imparting some inspiring words to the children, after which the MSNBC host railed: "that's right from a Cambodian re-education camp or it's chairman Mao's little red book. What propaganda!"
(video, audio and transcript after the jump)
The following excerpt was aired during the Sideshow segment of the May 13 edition of Hardball:
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Next up, through the looking glass. 2012 contender Mike Huckabee is producing animated history lessons for children. What was America like before Ronald Reagan? Here's the conservative spin.
(Begin clip from cartoon entitled Time Travel Academy)
ANIMATED CHARACTER#1: The downturn in the economy is killing us, people are out of work, and some of their morals are just gone.
MUGGER: Give me your money.
CHARACTER#2: And in Iran Islamic fundamentalists stormed the U.S. embassy and took 52 American diplomats hostage.
CHARACTER#3: Oh no it's bad, really bad.
CHARACTER#4: That guy's gotta gun! C'mon!
CHARACTER#5: Do something!
CHARACTER#6: Ahh!
CHARACTER#4: Why is everybody so excited?
CHARACTER#7: Because they see hope.
RONALD REAGAN IN ANIMATED FORM: God had a plan for America. I see it as a shining city on a hill. If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be one nation gone under.
[On screen: Go back in time to see how one man transformed a nation...And the world."]
(End clip)
MATTHEWS: You know I don't know whether that's right from a Cambodian re-education camp or it's chairman Mao's little red book. What propaganda!

Must Be a Card-Carrying Communist

I no longer have any doubt that at least half the news and opinion media are communist, if not formally, than at least in loyalty. This kind of disinformation is deliberate and beyond the pale.
All Americans should immediately cease denying what these "liberals" and "progressives" actually stand for.

I guess Chrissy has never read the creepy little tract "Why Mommy is a Democrat", which is not only preachy about how Dems care about people, but is also loaded with subliminal messages about how evil and uncaring Republicans are. Well, maybe he did read it, and uses it an instruction manual for his show?

Chris Matthews is a monkey with two pairs of arms and hands so he can cover his eyes, and ears at the same time. If only he had a third set so he could shut his stupid, fat mouth.
If he wants to start bringing up lists of liberal hollywood propaganda on political, religious and social issues, he hasn't got a leg to stand on OR get thrills with.
From liberals we get:
- lawyers shows like Law & Order: where the episodes are written specially to slam, mock and figuratively criminalize anyone who isn't a democrat
- Captain Planet: which brainwashes kids into thinking that companies are evil polluters run by supervillain/monsters waging 'war' against their 'earth mother' Whoopi Goldberg, and which teach kids that it's OK to vandalize and destroy property, as long as its in the name of beloved mother Gaea.
- Crooked teachers: Forcing their kids to sing hymns to Barak Obama - mocking students who say their parents vote republican - teaching kindergarten kids how to use condoms - telling underage kids that sex out of wedlock is OK - encouraging abortion and homosexuality among underage kids, et. al.
- Family Guy: portrayed actual Nazi stormtroopers wearing Republican campaign badges
- NPR: fires people who don't say what they want - openly mock republicans to raise money from arab terrorists - openly support Democrats, then lie and say they're 'objective'
- The West Wing: 'Nuff said.
- NBC: Showing google chrome commercials portraying 'gay support groups', even having Woody from Toy Story supporting the cause
- Wrote books, plays and movies about 'how to assassinate Bush'
- Kids books: 'Heather Has Two Mommies'.
this is just of the top of my head. Research would uncover countless other examples - in news, schools, movies, tv shows, commercials, books and everywhere else that liberals have infested.
If Chrissy-boy could pull his head out from his nether regions long enough to get a breath of air, he might see that he's become everything he ever said he hated.

Chris Matthews has no business accusing anyone of spreading propaganda when propaganda is what his show is all about. But in Chrissie's mind, liberal & socialist propaganda isn't propaganda at all but journalism and information. What a freakin' hypocrite!!!

White House: No more photo re-enactments

NEW YORK – The White House said it is ending its long-running practice of having presidents re-enact televised speeches for news photographers following major addresses to the country, a little-known arrangement that fed suggestions of fakery when Barack Obama announced the death of Osama bin Laden.

Since they are still explaining how seat belts work every time you get on a plane, I concede that there may be that many people who don't know how to change the channel of a TV set.

That would be as opposed to all the tripe about living "green," political correctness, and diversity that they receive on shows like Sesame Street, Arthur, Diego, and everything else on Nick Jr.?
I'm sure Chris views that as a public service; you know, early childhood "education."
That's pretty funny coming from a communist like Prissy

. . . since the portion you aired made references to God and both Mao and the Khmer Rouge were avowed atheists.
As an example of brainwashing (or as the Democrats gently term it: socialization), I prefer the video of the young children in that elementary school class making motions with their fists as they chanted the praises of newly-elected President Obama. They didn't get that from a cartoon. They got that from their teachers, who were indoctrinating them.
Now, THAT'S right out of the playbooks of Mao, Pol Pot, Fidel Castro, Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein, Hugo Chavez, Kim Chong-Il, -- not to mention Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin.
I think you mean this....

It's the cult of personality, and the MSM was wildly complicit in the case of this President.
But it stands to reason that a man who has some homo-erotic affinity for the President would fail to recognize it. Hell, he's immersed himself in it.
Galvanic your right. Socialiasts Chrissy! Wake up!

Chrissy makes me sick. His stupidity is just amazing yet he gets a TV spot. To me, propaganda is propaganda because it is teaching something as true that is false and as being good yet is harmful. We need to take our kids away from these socialists. They are ripping our Country up and tearing up what is right and good. Then laugh about it. How has your "social reform" worked out Chrissy? 1 in 7 on food stamps. Socialist, anti-moral, progressive home wreckers are literally ruining our society. The 'news" media, teachers, government, and Hollywood are the primary propagandists doing it.

First it’s Christi Mathews.
As a guest do you expect to hold an intelligent conversation using good manners while showing at least a basic level of respect? On Christies show are you high? Mr. Mathews does not even know those items exist (and they don’t with his associates).
Did you expect to hear any intelligent conversation of that program?
Did you expect anything remotely associated with facts, truth or honesty?
Do you think he does any of his own thinking?
Did you expect him to speak of anything that is not in the DNC talking point?
Did you expect to hear anything that is not on the far left fringe of human understanding?
Did you not expect to get covered by his Obambot slobbering?
