Last night Chris Matthews' beloved Phillies won the World Series, and perhaps more importantly to Matthews, Bill Clinton "passed the torch," to Barack Obama. Decked out in his Phillies red, the giddy Matthews found the whole thing, well, overwhelming, as he exclaimed over video of Obama with Clinton:
That is a sight for the ages! That, I am overwhelmed by it. It is something to watch! Look at 'em! They are, look at the two winners there together. Bill Clinton said, "He's the future," Barack Obama last night. He, he passed the torch like Kennedy did to him once, figuratively speaking.
It was all a bit too much for former Republican Congresswoman Susan Molinari, as she couldn't help but make fun of Matthews' excitement, as she sarcastically quipped, "It's bringing tears to my eyes."
The following exchange occurred on the October 30, edition of "Hardball":
CHRIS MATTHEWS OVER CLIP OF OBAMA AND CLINTON APPEARANCE: Look at 'em! That is a sight Susan Molinari.
SUSAN MOLINARI: Uh huh.
MATTHEWS: You are so sarcastic in your silence!
MOLINARI: Yes, yes, yes, yeah!
MATTHEWS: Well look at him, look at him build him up there. Look at that!
MOLINARI: It's just amazing.
MATTHEWS: That's Bubba and Barry!
MOLINARI: It's bringing tears to my eyes.

And this child Obama...what exactly has he done to be called a winner? Nothin' I know of...except for rousing those that feel entitled to other peoples money to vote for him, funding those that practice voter fraud for a living, (ACORN) and then denying it. Accepting clearly illegal foreign contributions to his campaign and apparently getting away with it.
Attending a racist, anti-American church for years, calling it's leader his mentor, and then make the fact vanish before our eyes.
Having an unrepentant domestic terrorist for a pal for years and...poof...he's a guy in his neighboorhood.
the list goes on and on. He's a magician not a leader.
I'd take Ron Paul or Ralph Nader over this guy. At least they could be trusted not to kill capitalism.
It only figures that "thrill up his leg" man would see a winner in these losers.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to MSNBC after the election. If Obama wins, they'll lose their raison d'etre which is to bash Repubs. If they keep shilling for the Dems, it'll bore their viewers. If McCain wins, they'll realize their partisanship was futile and their relevance will be severely damaged. Either way they lose.

I think Matthews either is on meds or needs to be on meds ... its almost appears that he is manic .....seriously for anyone to act like he acts something is just not right there .....his reactions and his devotion to all things Obama dont seem to be healthy ... its one thing for a teenage girl to go crazy over a boy band but its another thing altogether for a man or women his age to act like that about anything .... seriously his bosses at NBC have to look at his behaviour and know something isnt right but they use it for thier own purposes just like the character in the movie Network

October 30, 2008 - 21:01 ET by JanettaDoes Chris Matthews have a life? He is so pathetic you almost have to feel sorry for him, but you can't. I honestly have come to believe he is a robotic puttet for O'Bummer. How much lower is he going to go without becoming a total laughing stock? If McCain/Palin win the election, which is looking more and more likely, Chris will probably move into a tent in the mountains for four years. Even worse when Palin runs for and becomes President after McCain, Chris will leave the country. Hooray!

Chris Matthews needs a reality slap about Clinton voters
October 30, 2008 - 21:22 ET by Lame CherryAs I pointed out before, Bill, Hillary and Chelsea are all voting for John McCain come election day.
The only reason Bill and Hillary are playing leg tingler is they are no about to be seen as the reason Obama fails to steal this election.
At the very worst for Hillary Clinton is Obama steals the election and Patrick Fitzgerald indicts him on Thanksgiving and Hillary is selected by the Electoral College as the great uniter proceeded by this speech I was practicing today:
(thumb up) My fellow Americans, I too was betrayed by Barack Hussein Obama. I gathered him like as son being the first black president. I campaigned for him. Invited him to my office and told him as I bounced him on my knee as we watched bi sexual porn, Rub a dub Obama, "Barack, always tell the truth".
Now we know the truth that Obama has let down his supporters. I'm here to tell ya though Hillary has strong garters and that new wire push up bra has her lookin' Peggy Noonan hot at 24.
So My fellow Americans, go with the man you can trust in the Clinton name, Hillary Clinton.
There is something about God in this, but I'm just too teared up to read any more".
In contacts with PUMA voters who voted for Clinton. They are p*ssed to the maximum yet. They hate Barack Obama on a level they hate George Bush with. (Just watch Letterman sometime if you can stand it in how he hates Bush and Gov. Palin, this is what the PUMA voters hate Obama with.)
As I astutely pointed out in God's Grace which no one else did from Rush to here, John McCain and Sarah Palin have run a brilliant strategy in wooing the Hillary voters. They will vote for John McCain in mass and that is a fact.
Obama slapped Hillary around and that is a fact. They are still yelling about the polls being fixed against them in Hillary always getting 5 points more than Obama.
This is what Matthews and his cronies are deliberately ignoring and I for one am very pleased to have the PUMA people on John McCain's side. I know John McCain will work with them for the things they want in legislation on compromises.
I also know if given the choice between being tossed in a pen of alley cats and a group of PUMA voters, I would choose being mauled by the alley cats every time as the PUMA voters make the Obama thugs look like chumps.
All of these PUMA voters are going to not forget what Obama did to Hillary and not going to forget what the Matthews did to Hillary.
This runs from Linda Bloodworth Thomason to the Cleveland Browns fans. I frankly urge John McCain to treat the PUMA voters after the election to a long leash and turn them loose politically and legally with his cover to deal with the Obama thugs.
Matthews has no idea Bill is only cutting bait and has no intention of fishing with him. Obama has no idea that he is the chum in the Clinton waters.
Just like the battle of New Orleans, there are allot of Americans in this from all walks of life from Jesse Jackson to Rush Limbaugh all with intent of not letting Marxist Obama getting past the cotton bales.
God bless.

I accept the judgment of---
October 30, 2008 - 22:28 ET by misterbillOn certain MSM newsmen(?) I accept the input of---my fellow NB bloggers. Believe it or not, I have never seen more than five minutes of the man.(Matthews). I turned him on about a year ago because of so many mentions on NB. I could not bear watching him. I guess you could say--no thrill ran up- or down- my leg. I admit there was a strange feeling in my lower abdomen, but it passed.
In the short time I watched, I found his behavior to be somewhat "frantic". He also appeared to be foaming at the mouth.
To be fair, I have never watched more than five minutes on many TV mast---whoops, commentators.
The one disappointment I have had here is the disapproval of Lou Dobbs. He is one of the very few personalities that stands for the American middle class. Is it his style that turns people off??
It also seems that he has turned out to be right in most cases. I put him in the small group that I watch BOR (who is very irritating but mostly on target), Lovely Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, (who at times goes as far over the edge as most lefties do on their side). I seldom listen to radio because of a serious hearing problem. So, I seldom here Rush.
Two plus years ago I found MRC and NB--these sites confirmed, or at least supported my feelings about the MSM. Through thiose sites I learned about other sites that presenrted audios and videos of conservative personalities.
With the notable exceptions of some of the aforementioned and Glenn Beck, I cannot say that anyone fights harder for middle class America than Dobbs. And yet, save for a few NBers he has been castigated here. So I am stymied there.
BTW, quite like Dobbs, I expect a far better performance from my government departments than I see. (e.g. FDA--contaminants-ecoli, etc). I guess I am a Lou Dobbs conservative.

October 30, 2008 - 22:34 ET by Cool ArrowI've noticed Bill o'Reilly, Glenn Beck, and Lou Dobbs pretty much catch the same disdain from a lot of members.

October 30, 2008 - 23:31 ET by misterbillI thought I was almost alone. I wish my hearing were in good shape so I could listen to some of the radio shows--but my wife said that I spend plenty of time at NB and a couple of other sites. I find it fascinating how a number of people can listen to or watch a presentation of some information and the differing impression derived by different people. (Like Shawn. bal, josh, J Frank). I believe some of them to be agnts provocatur. Their only intent is to stir the pot and when they are otdebated they hurl "racist, xenophobe or bigot" at other bloggers/
I can, usually, see how some opinions arise, but I am mystified by things like:
>The 9/11 conspiracy theory.
>I know little about climate but I can see how it would be easy to suspect CO2. I, for one, believed that slash burning in Brazil was a very possible contributor to GW. The writings of NB contributors and explanations of the Little Ice Age and the Middle Ages Warming period have been most helpful in educating me. Perhaps unfair on my part, but I see no reason why folks would still believe in AGW.
>I am constantly amazed at how many people do not associate illegal immigration with a serious impact on job structures in America. Also the H1B etc. My son is attending a trades class. It is 11 months long. He will be a certified class 2 welder on completion. He said he wanted a trade that would not be threatened by IAs. Then right here in our little home town, it was discovered that American welders were being let go and replaced by illegals. So for soem reason when the economy is discussed, the major problem of illegal immigration is never mentioned as part of it.
>I confess. I am also a believer in the NAU. (North American Union). By that, contrary to one other poster's opinion, I do not believe it is a done deal. I DO believe that GW Bush and many prominent members of both parties want it to happen and are constantly trying to make it fact. See memebers of CFR--see principles and concepts of CFR. Failure to see Open Borders as part of that "conspiracy",to me is a failure to tie the pieces together.
>I am suspicious of the treaty with Canada to send troops to the USA to assist in domestic uprisings. Any and all respect for Canada that I have would be instantly gone and they would be an invading enemy to me. I would not hesitate to resist.
>I have some question about the reassignment of the Iraqi Brigade to stateside duty. While I do not see a major conspiracy, I do see another effort to overthrow posse comitatus by usage. i.e. The people will accept it, get used to it and then the original intent is of no meaning. (See failure to uphold immigration laws anywhere on the internet.)
