New York Times Buries Muslim Brotherhood Connection to Hamas
On April 2nd, The New York Times published a piece by Ethan Bronner titled, "In Israel, Time for Peace Offer May Run Out." In the piece, Bronner discussed various aspects of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, including statehood, violence, peace talks, religion, the West Bank, Gaza, and the Muslim Brotherhood.
But while Bronner spent many paragraphs detailing the difficulties in establishing peace between Israel and Palestine, it wasn't until the 2nd page that he Donner admitted a "central obstacle to the establishment of a State of Palestine" is the political and physical divide between the Palestinian Authority-controlled West Bank and the Hamas-controlled Gaza. The more moderate PA has suggested elections for a unified government in both territories.
"But Hamas, worried it would lose such elections and hopeful that the regional turmoil could work in its favor - that Egypt, for example, might be taken over by its ally, the Muslim Brotherhood - has reacted coolly," Bronner wrote. After 1,138 words, he finally made a crucial connection between the terrorists of Hamas and the supposedly moderate Muslim Brotherhood - and obliquely showed that Hamas is more interested in killing Jews than in establishing a Palestinian state.
Unfortunately by burying this vital information, Bronner and The New York Times follow a path similar to the mainstream media reporting on the Muslim Brotherhood. For 17 years, ABC, CBS and NBC have mentioned the Muslim Brotherhood in hundreds of stories but only linked the group to fundamentalist Islam or "extremism" in 37 percent of those stories.
For the most part, the networks chose to stick with the meme that the Brotherhood is "peaceful" and "moderate," even "charitable." And even in the wake of the Egyptian uprising in January, the networks glossed over the Brotherhood's violence, only linking 32 percent of stories to radical Islam, violence and extremism.

As usual, the New York Slimes

As usual, the New York Slimes WON'T ALLOW any comments on its misleading and provacative agit-prop passing for a straight news story.
They just cannot wrap their head around any DISRUPTION to their carefully constructed worldview.
All of the above Mr Obama? --- How about ALL OF THE BELOW, instead.
Bronner Only Wrote Half An Article

Bronner didn't earn half of what he was paid to write this piece. That is to say, if he were being paid as a journalist.
To have completely skewed the impressions of readers by treating the close connection between the Muslim Brotherhood an Hamas as an after thought is irresponsible at best and purposeful biased slanting at worst. The public concern in the conflict between Palestine and Israel is serious and articles written about it should be thorough enough address those concerns with this sort of information central to the overall presentation. Instead, Bronner wrote a piece to persuade rather than to inform. As far as I know, that's not accepted journalism.
All in all, Bronner just wrote another of many commentaries hostile to Israel. That's not news.

Hamas Charter?
The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas)
And as for the "two state solution", it is nothing new, most certainly not a brainchild of W, and the reason the Palestinians don't have a state of their own today rests only upon themselves and their own actions.
Do they realize that the two state solution is over 6 decades old.
United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181
"Independent Arab and Jewish States and the Special International Regime for the City of Jerusalem, set forth in Part III of this Plan, shall come into existence in Palestine two months after the evacuation of the armed forces of the mandatory Power has been completed but in any case not later than 1 October 1948. The boundaries of the Arab State, the Jewish State, and the City of Jerusalem shall be as described in Parts II and III below. "
The fact is that Arab and non-Arab Muslims decided to reject this and instead make war upon the Jewish state, several times and endlessly, even until now. During the course of those aggressions, territory has been lost. Israel has tried giving some of those gains back, gains made in acts of self defense, still to avail toward peace. At some point, it must be admitted that Palestinians cannot want peace when their actions are what they are and continue to be.
When it comes right down to it, and I write this with no particular fondness toward Jews, it is not the fault of Israel, or anybody else as far as that goes, besides the Palestinians themselves, for the situation they are in today. Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, Islamic Jihad, Hezb allah, Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, and all the rest are not the solution, they are the problem and always have been under any name they claim on whichever day.

Seems kind of obvious to me. The Muslim Brotherhood's logo looks like a pirate flag but with a Qaran where the skull should be.

The media thinks it's possible to separate middle eastern Islamic groups into specific categories, as though they all had different purposes for their existence.
There is only one category for them and that is the ones that want to kill all Jews, wipe Israel off the map and spread Sharia law throughout the world.
