NBC Promotes ‘Princess Boy’ Propaganda

Any semblance of objectivity grew fairy wings and flew out the window on the January 3 broadcast of NBC’S “Today Show.” Host Meredith Vieira promoted a book by Cheryl Kilodavis, titled “My Princess Boy,” an illustrated children’s book that promotes the tolerance of cross-dressing boys.

NBC’s “Today’s Family” segment featured Kilodavis and her son Dysonin an eight-minute story and interview. Dyson likes to wear girls’ clothes and do girl things. Mom likes to make money off her son’s proclivities. And “Today” wants to educate viewers about “tolerating” little boys who wear dresses. The a perfectly unbalanced segment full of liberal propaganda drew on the opinion of only one expert. Not surprisingly, he was squarely in favor of widespread acceptance, praising the mother for her boldness.

(Video below the fold)

“I think its fantastic and I think that what it tells us is that these boys, their parents and the social world is no longer the same,” said Ken Corbett, author of “Boyhood: Rethinking Masculinities.” “There is an audience for this book, and there are people who need this kind of information, this kind of help.”

.

Corbett appeared in the introductory video that highlighted the local appearances that the Kilodavis’ have made, complete with peppy music and touching camera pans of “My Princess Boy” on bookshelves next to “Curious George.” The remaining portion of the segment was Vieira and Kilodavis in studio, discussing the family’s “journey,” the resistance they’ve faced, the book’s sales and the broader message of tolerance in 2010 and 2011

“The book started out as something that you self published, really started out as a journal … you’re exploring more about you, almost than Dyson and dealing with a child who is different from other kids,” Vieira said. “… And then to have a major publisher take it on, did you ever anticipate anything like that?” Vieira gushed. What’s more, Vieira turned to five-year-old Dyson for his take on the “journey.”

“Dyson why do you like to dress up in, in dresses, and pretty colors and sparkily things?” Vieria asked. Dyson responded, “Because it makes me feel happy.” Vieira repeated his answer and continued, “It makes you feel happy. Do you know other princess boys? Are they friends of yours or people you met along the way?”

Tellingly, Dyson responded, “People I met along the way.” In other words, people that came out of the woodwork in response to his mother’s publicity. “Princess boys” are not as common as the Kilodavis’ and NBC make them seem. But Vieira was happy to let  Kilodavis mainstream the phrase “princess boy” and make happy talk about “acceptance” and “uniqueness.”

“Really, princess boys, the book stands for hope and it stands for acceptance,” Kilodavis said.” And in 2010 in light of all this bullying and things that have happened and the unthinkable outcomes of children taking their lives just for being different, this is our chance to say 2011 is gonna be about the year of acceptance. We are gonna turn this around and it takes the first step to go to acceptance and then we can start to get into inclusion and sooner or later my hope is that the world will embrace the uniqueness that is really within all of us.”

According to Kilodavis, Dyson, has taken a liking to pink and purple sparkly dresses since he was two years old. Dyson appeared on the set of the ‘Today’ show in a pink ballerina tutu, which Vieira encouraged him to twirl in on two separate occasions.

That is exactly how they've been doing it for 40 years now.  Once the morning show circuit is complete, then comes the afternoon shows, with the approval by Orcra being the crowning touch.  Anyone after that point will be publically branded as a hate filled, Neanderthal.

Don't think for a minute that there is ever an end point on the culture change these people want.  It may take another 40 years, but this tactic will be used to change the legal definitions of the words "consenting" and "adult."  The defense of Roman Polanski won't seem so strange then.  Even now, Whoopi thinks that his raping of a 13 year old wasn't "rape" rape.

President Obama is a Muslim (from his own lips), Kenyan (read it from his publicist) a homosexual (read it on a news magazine cover) and a Socialist (I'm alive and can see it for myself)

Obviously they haven't been to South Florida lately, or San Francisco, Land of Gerbils.  We have loads of "princesses" and trust me, some of them are really ugly (I won't even start on the girls who want to be lumberjacks!).  They would be ugly men, but they are REALLY ugly women!

Then on the other hand (fair and balanced) there are some smoking hot long-legged, big busted blonds down here, and after two or three drinks you have to keep slapping yourself to remember that they aren't really girls.  I've had several visitors who had to keep getting reminded of that fact.  I was tempted to just let them go on with it to see how interesting it would get, but I always chicken out.  You should have seen the disappointment and shock when I told them the bad news.

I just love this place!

Why?

Submitted by KC Mulville on Tue, 01/04/2011 - 10:33am.

Why do I have to "accept" a boy who dresses like a girl? Someone explain to me why I can't laugh at the silliness and absurdity of a boy "feeling happy" by dressing like a girl.

Why do I have to abide by the norms of "acceptance" when that same kid goes out of his way to violate norms he doesn't like? If he can flamboyantly break taboos, why do I have to obey the taboo against laughing at him? Why does he get to be outrageous but I have to "tolerate" it?

No. If you want to be "special" by deliberately offending other people's sensibilities, then you lose the right to protect your own sensibilities.

I went back and read the incest post..

The only problem I have with what you said is that you gave the impression that just because it isn't any of our business that people don't have any right to moral judgment except of the "I personally find it disgusting" variety. The person you replied to in that thread made incest the equivalent to putting peanut butter on celery.

But believing something is morally wrong is different from wanting the government to be involved.

As for it "not being any of our business", you're right, in the same sense that its not our business that Sen. Edwards had an affair, or Bristol Palin had a baby. But these things have a habit of leaking to the press, except in the certain cases that the press doesn't seem to be interested in. (Bristol's baby is important, but Epstein's incest isn't)

I'd also like to know what you think of the right of a publication (like HuffPo) to fire Epstein for something like this.

Submitted by Satchmo on Tue, 01/04/2011 - 4:41pm.

Of course people can have a moral judgment on it, and have that right, but even if it leaks into the press, it still doesn't make it our business nor does it affect our lives; it just makes it a topic of conversation. HuffingtonPost is a private business and they have the right to fire any employee or contractor no matter the reason. Jobs belong to companies, not to the employees. In the HuffingtonPost's case, they're naturally protecting their business.

None of this changes the fact that government shouldn't be involved in the decisions, sexual or otherwise, of consenting adults when force or fraud is absent.

I do appreciate your post and willingness to at least understand my position.

Submitted by Van Halen on Tue, 01/04/2011 - 10:58am.

What is it with the Left suddenly openly admitting support for children and homosexuality? Here Viera can't gush enough about it. Submitted by tampamom25 on Tue, 01/04/2011 - 11:36am.

Acceptance sounds like a really nice word, but the reality is that the more of these aberrant lifestyles we "accept" as normal, the more damage we are doing to our children and our world.  And the more we accept, the more we will be expected to accept.  Pedophiles, necrophilia, sex with animals......you might cringe and say "oh no, that will never happen", but years ago we would never have been asked by the media (or anyone else) to accept homosexuality as a valid lifestyle, worthy of marriage.  But it's happened.  Now here we are being asked to accept that it's normal for little boys to be twirling in tutu's, calling them princess boys.  It's hard to imagine what they'll want us to accept next.....

Also, if you know the answer to that, why do all the "metro's" want all the hair off their bodies, but leave that 3-day growth on their faces?

I wish I was 17 again. I knew everything then.

Submitted by yutsnark on Tue, 01/04/2011 - 12:52pm.

I don't know why any guy shaves his chest, but it's not mentioned in "The Communist Manifesto" or "Quotations from Chairman Mao."  Back in the sixties, hair was good.

I can't think of anything more fun than doing that, or what I did at that age.  Dance all night, water ski, etc.

(what made me think of that was that I mis-read your sentence as "I came of age in my 60's", LOL).

Submitted by MidAmerica on Tue, 01/04/2011 - 12:22pm.

Hey... maybe I will cause my 60's is where I'm at.  But don't feel to sorry for me yet because I'm on no medication and I still commit pointless uses of energy like a young person.  In fact I'm thinking about a solo 200 mile hike for this summer.

Good for you, Mid

Submitted by Blonde on Tue, 01/04/2011 - 12:47pm.

No reason not to have a hot car, one you dreamed of is the one you should have.

Careful about that solo hike.  A friend had a scare about that a week or two ago.  If you're going to do it, have a back-up plan (no cell phone coverage and a raplidly depleted battery was the culprit).  A personal EPIRB would do the trick nicely.

It's important to live your dreams (like we did last year, driving to Costa Rica and back)...but unlike doing while a teen, we are smart enough at this age to do it wisely and safely!  (Oh how I wish I knew then what I know now, alas).

Submitted by MidAmerica on Tue, 01/04/2011 - 1:03pm.

I'm very grounded in reality.  Everything I do is planned out for most eventualities and surprises.  Five years ago I went on a solo 1200 mile bike ride.  I've even ridden a fully loaded bike right through Chicago, top to bottom.  You stay aware of your surroundings and you keep moving.

On the personal side when you are alone you have to be aware of your physical limitations at that moment and adjust accordingly.  You must listen to what your body is saying and not what your head is telling you about schedules and how you can do it if you just try harder.

that this kid doesn't have a Dad or any other male figure in his life that he can look up to.  He's growing up in a completely female dominated world.

How is it acceptable to raise this poor kid in a world with no Men to look up to?  I'm only guessing here, but it would really surprise me to learn otherwise.

This is how the Left wants to "educate" its kids.  They want to completely dominate public schools so kids only get the leftist view of science and social studies.  They want to dominate the radio and TV waves so that the public can only get the leftist view of the news.

They love this kid because he is the example of the programing they want for all our kids.

Nothing against people like this. A certain "switch" is flipped in the brain that makes them want to do this, imo. However, why can't the PC crowd - media included - simply call it what it is: Cross-dressing. And - if *they* find the subject *that* embarrassing - maybe they shouldn't be glorifying it.

We used to beat the crap out of kids for having a funny haircut- I can't imagine what we'd have done to a five year old fairy.

Anyone hear about a father for this kid or is it just another classic case of a single mother raising a gay son?

My aunt, back in the seventies, knew how to "tolerate" that crap. She caught her 12 year old son all gussied up like a tramp on the streets with clothes snitched from his sisters'. Let's just say the boy had a hard time sitting for a few days and it never happened again.
