CBN's David Brody is on the phone with CNN right now getting himself drummed out of the conservative movement.
Why?
Well, he's on peddling what happened at a private meeting at the Council For National Policy with regards to Palin. This is a huge no-no, guests are invited under the condition that meetings remain private to keep conversations candid and open.
I've attended CNP and I know darn well to never talk about what went on.
Brody has just breached the biggest rule of CNP and burned a number of bridges along the way. He's putting his own self-promotion and career building out there, while forgetting his promises to keep things said off the record, off the record. And reactions were off the record.
I suspect, frankly, that Brody has fallen for Obama and does not really care. Even factcheck.org has been tougher on Obama's infanticide position than David Brody has.
Career is one thing, David. Integrity is something else. On the upside, I hear Brock is hiring.

This is a conservative? Don't let the door hit ya where....
August 29, 2008 - 17:46 ET by Texndoc"It was a speech with mile high expectations. Leave it to Barack Obama to exceed them. Think about the pressure Obama was under to deliver this speech. He needed to motivate and inspire without using soaring rhetoric or coming across like Zeus. He needed to make this speech about others not him. He needed to make this speech about his love for America. And he needed to offer more details about what his type of change really means. And oh by the way, he had to do it with 84,000 people watching him in person and millions of Americans tuning in on television. Guess what? He not only pulled it off. It may have been close to flawless."
That's from today on his blog. Never heard of the guy before. Don't care what he has to say in the future.
This is a Conservative?

My thought was
No sweat. CNN will bring him on as a "political analyst."
Integrity?
August 29, 2008 - 17:51 ET by ontheright...in the same sentence as reporter? Please!
Color me jaded.
There will be fur flying in the next 30-67 days; pay close attention to our "objective reporters"; this will be interesting, at the very least.
I must qualify...
August 29, 2008 - 17:53 ET by ontheright...NB reporters bring the pinacle of integrity (IMHO) to reporting...the others - no relevant comment.

The Wide Open Brody Files
August 29, 2008 - 20:10 ET by BondPlainBondI agree Brody has fallen for Obama's perpetually empty rhetoric and lies. It was chilling that a self-described Christian would be so cavalier about Obama's position of supporting infanticide, interviewing Obama on the matter twice to be sure he understood. Obama lied to Brody as he lied to the American public. Brody accepted Obama's lies as truth.
Freely expressing to others what was agreed to be held in secret underscores he is cavalier and interested only in himself.
I had never heard of Brody until he expressed his "understanding" about Obama supporting infanticide. Now he wants to make a real (buffoonish) name for himself - and one of those names will certainly include "Untrustworthy".
Yep..CBN's Brody in the O-Tank
August 30, 2008 - 17:09 ET by fed upRecall that it was Brody's interview with Obama, immediately following the Saddleback forum (aired on CNN?), where Obama accused the National Right to Life folks of lying about his infanticide votes. According to stats on CBN news, Brody is an Emmy award winning journalist of 20 years. To me, he's a pathetic excuse for a "conservative" journalist, but he has a virtual captive audience at CBN! I've been monitoring his blog for some time now and have raised issues with the CBN news director and Brody about the Obama coverage. "They are unbiased..favor no political candidate" is the response. Check out this "unbiased" reporting yourself. CBN partners, keep those cards and letters coming in, with donations.
