Enough is Enough

I have several requirements for supporting Supreme Court nominees,
among them being that Chucky Schumer and Harry Reid must hate them.
Let's face it, if these two clowns support you, you have about as good
a chance of being a rational human being as Al Gore has of developing a
personality. With that in mind, it should not be hard to understand why
I practically jumped for joy
when I heard that Harriet Miers was withdrawing her nomination to
the high court. Even though most of my Republican friends kept telling
me that I needed to give her a chance, I just couldn't get past the
fact
that two of the most insanely liberal members of the U.S. Senate
actually liked her.
Predictably, every radical left-winger in the country is now saying that President Bush needs to choose a "moderate" replacement nominee, which proves once again how completely out of touch with reality these people really are. In the first place, there's no such thing as a moderate judge, there's only originalists and activists. Secondly, whenever a liberal says they think we need more moderates anywhere, what they are really saying is we need more liberals who call themselves moderates.
I can't recall at the moment which neo-socialist Senator stated that the next nominee should be more unifying, like Ruth Bader Ginsburg was, but whoever dreamed up that line needs to be smacked over the head with a shovel. Ginsburg, or as I like to call her "the wicked witch of the west", has proved to be the complete horror show of a USSC justice that every sane American suspected she would be before she got confirmed.
She was about as unifying as the philandering liar who nominated her, and the only reason she had such an easy time getting on the bench is because the Republicans in the Senate at the time were a bunch of kowtowing wussies!
I don't know about you, but I'm damned sick of all these RINO pantywaists who behave as if avoiding confrontation with the left is more important than putting a qualified orignialist on the Supreme Court. If I hear John McCain mention how important it is that the Senate come together in the spirit of bipartisanship one more time, I swear I'm gonna snap.
The last thing we need at a time like this is bipartisanship, primarily because nearly half of the partisans involved are total nutjobs who think the Constitution is a "living, breathing" document, instead of the necessarily rigid set of rules that it is.
As for the President, all I can say is that George W. Bush needs to pull his head out of the sand and nominate a judge that everyone in his conservative base can get behind. If he can't manage to do that then I for one have no use for him. It's time for the leaders of the Republican party to prove to the American people once and for all that they really are conservatives, and not just a pack of pandering weasels with Rs next to their names.
If I had my way, the next nominee fight would be the biggest knock-down, drag-out, mother-insulting brawl in Senate history, resulting in a Scalia-type judge declaring victory with only 51 percent support. Enough of this can't-we-all-just-get-along nonsense. Clearly the answer is NO, WE CAN'T ALL JUST GET ALONG, so stop pretending that we can, Mr. President, and do what your constituents elected you to do!
