LAT Headline: 'Before Palin, Republicans Had Quayle'

  • Bookmark and Share

The bias on this one pretty much speaks for itself. In yesterday's Los Angeles Times (Fri. 9/5/08), following the last day of the RNC, the paper published article with the title, "Before Palin, Republicans Had Quayle" (click to see the image). Big hat tip to Patterico, who asked, "Could the L.A. Times’s desperation be any more obvious?"

The was also a great comment at Patterico from an andycanuck:

Coming soon, I’m sure, “Before Barrack Obama, the DNC had Jimmy Carter.” No, eh? That’s surprising.

Well put (except there's only one 'r' in 'Barack'). We would never see that kind of headline from the Times.

But did we expect anything different this past week from the these Obama cheerleaders?

great line there, wrong analogy

I think the muh-say-uh, is much closer to Quayle than Palin. But of course if it was Obama that mis-spelled PotatoE the media would simply call it the new spelling for Potato.

I wonder which of the 57 states, are going to be big battlground states for Obama.

Palin has accomplished great things, while Obama has continued to make empty promises that the world owes you a living.

60 States

Obama thinks we have 60 states.  He said he's been to 57 of them, will not be going to 2 and he has only one more to visit.  57 + 2 + 1 = 60.  I realize there are 57 Islamic States and that is probably where he got the number.  Either that, or he was thinking about 57 varieties of Heinz Ketchup and paying homage to John Kerry's golden goose.

sixty

Yeah I know, but if I said that fewer people would know what sound bite I was referencing.

Palin has accomplished great things, while Obama has continued to make empty promises that the world owes you a living.

And the sky is blue...

This 3-alarm fire at the MSM is now a 4-alarm fire! Get the hot dogs and relish!

Will the election be close?

I am beginning to think that, if the debates go well for the Republicans, and if the media keep up their ridiculous behavior, this election might not be that close.

Of course then we'll have to live through all of the screams of, "The U.S. is a racist country."

Its deeper than that. This

Its deeper than that. This time it will be:

"Those evil white Republicans stole the election again, this time from a black man. To the streets !!!!!!"

And of course the MSM will be cheerleading them.

"You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious. "

- Ben Kenobi on  Liberals, and the MSM.

" The Cake is a lie."

Screams

But oh what a joy it will be to see the liberal talking heads explode when the election day results start trickling in. They won't be able to hide. Some may crawl back into their bath tubs, and/or put on suicide watch.

Can you say "President-Elect McCain"? How sweet the sound.

personally

I'd love it if they kept their promise from 2004 and found a more friendly socialist nation to live in. of course that means they'd have to pay higher taxes.

Anyone recall when Bono was trying to get Ireland to raise taxes to Help africa? And as soon as they did HE MOVED. What a typical liberal hypocrite.

Palin has accomplished great things, while Obama has continued to make empty promises that the world owes you a living

In my humble opinion this

In my humble opinion this election is still in the bag for Obama. They have been beating the streets registering new voters ('democrat only, the republican rolls are full I'm afraid'), A.C.O.R.N. and others registering dead and non-existent people, loads of voter fraud in general, bubblehead votes, college votes, black votes, drug addict votes, uninformed votes, MSM votes, etc..

The difference between Quayle and Palin

The major difference between Quayle and Palin is that this time the campaign, aided by the conservative media, is fighting back.  Quayle's trashed reputation is as undeserved as what they're trying to do to Palin.

When you put the clowns in charge, don't be surprised when a circus breaks out.

I liked this comment from Patterico too....

  1. Well, the Dems are running two vice-presidents….

PT, you bring up an

PT, you bring up an interesting subject.  One of the factors lost in the mix was the fact that Quayle was re-elected to both the house and the senate.

Question - would you agree that his treatment was utterly vile and discusting during his tenure as Vice-Presidential candidate and while in office?

Copy paste much?

What are you trying to prove PT? That you have mastery of clippy?

Abraham Lincoln:

Education:
Barely any.

Political Experience: (which is stupid, look at Obama's political experience how he simply became a part of the corrupt Chicago political machine.)

-1858 - Ran for Senate and lost

-1860 - Ran for President and won.

Professional Experience:
Worked on farms, and was captain in the blackhawk war.

Obama has more experience than Lincoln. And Palin has more experience than Obama.

But I still wouldn't vote for a hateful radical marxist. Soros is spending billions on making sure we turn into a socialist nation. And is so blinded by his hate that he doesn't even realize how unelectable his candidate is.

Palin has accomplished great things, while Obama has continued to make empty promises that the world owes you a living.

mbuel

Thanks for a very funny, yet very serious, post.

Btw, Anyone know Lincoln's view on global warming?

Anyone?

He was for global warming

As it was cold during those days.

Palin has accomplished great things, while Obama has continued to make empty promises that the world owes you a living.

Obama more qualified than Lincoln

So what are you trying to prove?

What does mastery of clippy mean? I don't use word.

Palin has not accomplished anything.

Dude don't you get it?

What did Abraham Lincoln accomplish before running?

It's NOT his accomplishments alone that make the man.  It's his marxism, his racism, and his hatred of capitalism.  (speaking of Obama here in case it wasn't obvious)

And Palin HAS accomplishments, as much as you want to overlook them PT.

Palin has accomplished great things, while Obama has continued to make empty promises that the world owes you a living.

just to make sure you can't spread this anymore:

Palin helped defeat the bridge to nowhere. Sorry but it's true.

http://littlegreenfo...

Palin helped clean up her party's dirty politics. Ted Stevens (a renowned dirty GOP politician) DOES NOT LIKE PALIN. That says alot of her credibility does it not?

I could go on, but what point would it serve? You'd paste some link up from some left wing smear job, probably from a Soros funded site, and would never believe me.

I can tell you what Biden and Obama accomplished. They voted for the Bridge to Nowhere. *laughs*

But Iike I said before... There past accomplishments while important are not the sole reason behind my vote for someone. When someone is an avid marxist who wants to destroy "middleclassness" I think that pretty much the deathknell for my vote for Obama dude.

Palin has accomplished great things, while Obama has continued to make empty promises that the world owes you a living.

Good one Dave..

How about:  Before Clinton, the Democrats had Bill Clinton; and he left an economic disaster just like Carter did. (;~> gary

L.A. Times

At one time I subscribed to the Sunday L.A. Times because they gave me a cheap rate and I like to read the "Sports" pages.  After my cheap subscription expired they made a concerted effort (by telephone and by mail) to get me to re-subscribe.  Finally, after hanging up on them several times, I told them to stop calling me because I am a Republican and I don't relish getting slapped across the face everytime I read their liberal newspaper.

Quayle was VP

Okay, so they compare her to Dan Qualye. He bcame vice president didn't he? Well I hope she follows in his footsteps.

You support the troops by supporting the mission! If you don't support the mission, have the guts to say you don't support the troops.

Yep, he sure did

"He bcame vice president didn't he?"

Yep, he sure did. That's the one little fact that the MSM keeps omitting.
