(Via The O'Reilly Factor on FNC) On his show last night (Fri. 8/29/08), Bill O'Reilly called it, "One of the most outrageous things I've ever seen in my 35 years of journalism."
During coverage of Sarah Palin accepting to be John McCain's running mate, MSNBC ran a graphic. Under the banner of "BREAKING NEWS," MSNBC put on the screen, "How many houses does Palin add to the Republican ticket?" Outrageous, indeed.

Does anyone else notice something about the "house" thing? The whole rub in the beginning of it is that McCain didn't know how many he had. Fine.
But now it's changed. It's not just about McCain not knowing. No, now it's about numbers of houses itself, which was never the reason for it having been brought about as an "issue."
Before McCain's VP was known, and Romney was a likelihood, one of the network morning shows said "between them they would have 11 houses." Again, that was NOT what got this whole house nonsense started, yet the media has morphed it, as they predictably do time after time.
Its like when I discuss with a liberal, some sign or something someone said, I ask their opinion of what was said. The answer is often "they have the freedom to say whatever they want." No crap Sherlock, now back to my question about WHAT they said, not "are they allowed to say it."

I can't count on my fingers the number of outrageously biased things fox news have done to promote their Republican agenda. Everyone accepts that fox news is basically the media wing of the RNC. Sean Hannity for example is an unrepentant Republican operative who has campaigned and contributed thousands of dollars to GOP politicians. Fox news has made it one of their main objectives to bash Democrats. The manager of the channel, Roger Ailes is a former RNC chairman. Right wingers pointing their fingers at MSNBC for being biased while ignoring fox is like Amy Winehouse accusing Britney Spears of being a bad role model.
O'Reilly has done so many abominable things in his career that he shouldn't even open his mouth. He once kept a comment up on his website for months calling for the assasination of Hillary Clinton. Even more outrageous than that, O'Reilly himself once suggested that the terrorist organization Al Qaida which is responsible for the horrors of 9/11 bomb the great American city of San Fransisco because local politicians there were resisting army recruitment on college campuses. This is only the tip of the iceberg of some of the outrageous and absolutely dispicable things that Billo has said on his program.
Fox news is another tragic case in itself. A fox news commentator just the other day, suggested that Obama and Osama should both be assasinated, conveniently mixing up the names to suggest that Obama was a terrorist. Where was the outrage from the right then? I guess that isn't outrageous enough for you guys on the lunatic fringe.
You right wingers need to do a serious self-examination before you start pointing the finger at someone else. Please don't accuse someone else of being smelly when you are stinker than rotten Caribou meat.

I expect O'Reilly to say report sometime next week that he's now seen a ridiculous statement from MiSogynyNBC that tops this most recent one.
BTW...McCain's desire to "defer" answering the question about how many houses he had was right on. He is smart enough to understand that the question was of the "gotcha" variety and quite appropriately quickly realized it. If he answered that he had, "seven" (or a hundred, for that matter) the media would have accused him of being a liar since they know he personally does not own ANY of them, but rather they are owned by his wife or her family's trust(s). By answering the way he did, they accused him of having so many homes that he is, "out of touch" with Americans.
This is crapola, to be sure. I admire ANY American who strives to become successful by legitmate means.....LIKE WORKING!!!
