The latest issue of the media mag American Journalism Review gives a wee hint to the leanings of journalists. A study showed that the No. 1 blog read by political reporters is ... the lefty site http://www.huffingtonpost.com/.

The communications firm Brodeur interviewed 69 political reporters and it showed both HuffPo and DailyKos in the top five ahead of the one conservative site, Townhall.com.

Here are the top five in order:

  1. Huffington Post
  2. Real Clear Politics
  3. Talking Points Memo
  4. Daily Kos
  5. Townhall.com

AJR also interviewed seven political writers and found their top choices. USA Today's Chuck Raasch listed both HuffPo and Townhall. And ABC's Jake Tapper had a list of 11 blogs he prefers including, HuffPo, Kos, Instapundit, NRO's The Corner and, of course, Newsbusters.

Isn't TPM pretty lefty too?

That's the impression I've always gotten from reading the stuff there.

Pretty much says it all,

Pretty much says it all, doesn't it?

"... smells like... victory." - Robert Duvall

Oh my gosh... who

Oh my gosh... who knew...color me shocked!

Btw...good for Jake Tapper...at least he expands his mind.

"America isn't the problem...America is the solution." ~ Rush Limbaugh

I'm getting more and more impressed with Jake Tapper

He seems to understand his role and has nearly always been impartial in his political reporting. He's quite possibly the reason ABC got the Palin interviews first.

I'm Surprised

I can't believe Real Clear Politics and Townhall made the list at all!  It says a lot that Huff Po is the #1 site though. What a bunch of airheads the media must be.  No wonder there is so much garbage said and printed.

Just more proof of the "echo chamber"...

...that most of these people live in.  No wonder they are continually shocked when given the choice, America usually acts to the right of where they think it will go.

HuffPo

I'm not surprised that msm folks read Huffpo, its the easiest and requires the least amount of intelligence of all the blogs except Kos. I tried to read Huff and it completely lacked Intellectual stimulation so I couldn't stay focused for long. Huff's written on a third grade reading level which is about right for todays Journalists.
