It sounds like NPR's Frank James just implied..

..that if you're poor and an minority in urban America, then you're probably associated with being one without morals, and might be a fraud or a crimminal.

These many pages show a lot of ACORN's scams and indictments.  There is incredible much dirt in their mess. It tells how they intimidate companies and reach settlements.  These settlements will dry up also.  Blackmail is what we call them.

There are a lot of "poor" people in this country that do not resort to criminal activity.

To suggest otherwise is truley the racist position!

There is one big element to this story that is very telling:  Our two young heroes didn't just randomly select targets for their sting operation.  The pimp and prostitute narrative was specifically tailored to the perceived sensibilities and vulnerabilities of ACORN.  Their pre-existing reputation as a profoundly corrupt organization was the inspiration for the sting.  It was carried out because ACORN looked to be capable of such depravity. 

Joy Behar, on "The View", likened ACORN's corruption to the child molestation cases within the Roman Catholic Church.  The big difference -- apart from the fact that the R.C.C. doesn't take forced "donations" from non-Catholic tax payers -- is that everyone would expect Catholics to react to the trafficking of child sex slaves with horror and condemnation.  But notice how the ACORN people were not expected to have that same reaction.  What does it say about them that they would be ripe for such an ignoble take-down as this?  

And the Left could be in big jeopardy...(I hope).  It's almost too perfect to be true:  Two young people with no funding and no experience rock the country with one of the most audacious and effective displays of investigative journalism.  And with it, they bring down two big birds with one beautiful gem of a stone.  THWACK!   Down comes Acorn!  Another THWACK!   Down comes the State-Run Media, with Charlie Gibson representing the whole lot of them.  (And see how this all plays out while a guy who made his name as the side-kick to a talk show host wipes the floor with CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Jeopardy?  This makes these media folk look like a bunch of clowns!)  Oh, if only the ripples could continue to spread to the point where Obama, himself, gets thwacked up-side the head! -- Maybe he's already feeling it...(I hope.) 

If our two young heroes had done anything comparable to bring down an outfit closely linked to Bush or if they had done a shock-and-awe number on Fox News, you know, without a doubt, that they would be feted as this generation's Woodward and Bernstein.  And in record time, their story would be brought to the silver screen with Levi Johnston and Kathy Griffin in the starring roles.  But since they have gone after the One and his drones, our two heroes have been targeted for destruction.  That is why they are heroes.

So "advocates for the poor" insult them by insinuating that they're all pimping imported prepubescent girls. Remember that these are the same people who are fine with Planned Parenthood facilitating statutory rape. As long as it's sex, it's kosher, to the Left.

Ok, I'll concede that point.  So, in order to legitimize Acorn, we need to reform Acorn and put Rich White Men in total control, both at the national level and at the local level.  That, according to your logic, would automatically reduce the corruption and criminality inherent in any organization controlled and staffed by poor minorities since corruption and criminality itself is inherent within poor minority societies, right? 

I mean, really, you can't excuse the criminal actions of poor minority people simply because they ARE poor minority people without admitting that those same poor minority people shouldn't be in control of an organization which is supposed to help poor minority people overcome their inherit difficulties, right?

1uncle: We have always gone to the same schools in most of the states and in the southern few for 2 or 3 generations. It's past time to understand right and wrong and the difference between. Perhaps if the states would pass an amendment to the constitution stopping politicians for giving benefits to their 'special interest groups to stop breeding demos on welfare..
