Planned Parenthood supporters might be surprised to discover the newest use of their donations — funding Christmas presents for journalists.
On December 28, Vox’s deputy managing editor for visuals Sarah Kliff tweeted a photo of her gift with the caption “Planned Parenthood sends a holiday gift to reproductive health reporters: Emergency Chocolate.”

Kliff has a chummy relationship with Planned Parenthood, which routinely tweets her work. After Carly Fiorina graphically described the content of the CMP videos during the September 2015 debates, Kliff wrote a viral piece coming to Planned Parenthood’s aid. It’s no wonder the organization wishes to keep her in their good graces.
Prior to her work for Vox, Kliff was a health policy reporter for the supposedly neutral Washington Post. In that capacity, she interviewed Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards, but did not write about the Kermit Gosnell trial. After The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway questioned her on this silence, Kliff responded that she “cover[ed] policy…not local crime.”
If anything, it’s all too clear where Kliff’s loyalties lie. At least she’s no longer reporting for The Washington Post. Vox doesn’t even claim to be objective.
