In the following slides, you'll see five of the most famous people who may already be packing their bags for a northern exodus. If the crashing of Canada's immigration site last night reflects liberal sentiments on this issue, the possibility is quite real.
2. Lena Dunham
The Girls actress and writer has long condemned Trump. "I know a lovely place in Vancouver, and I can get my work done from there," Dunham announced at the Matrix Awards in April. "I know a lot of people have been threatening to do this, but I really will."
In March 2016, the singer/actress posted to Instagram: "Honestly f—k this s—t I am moving if this is my president! I don't say things I don't mean!" Yet, following the election results, another Instagram post seemed to indicate a tearful change of heart. “We must be accepting towards his presidency & his promise to ‘unify’ our country and ‘make America great,’” she counseled her social media followers.
5. Bryan Cranston
"I would definitely move," the actor told the Bestseller Experiment podcast in October. "It's not real to me that that would happen. I hope to God it won't." However, the morning after the election, Cranston tweeted: “Although shocked and disappointed by the outcome, I hope the pres-elect will work to unify our wounded country. I sincerely wish him success.”
6. Al Sharpton
"If Donald Trump is the nominee,” Reverend and civil rights activist Al Sharpton declared at a Center for American Progress event, “I'm also reserving my ticket to get out of here if he wins. Only because he'd probably have me deported anyhow."
