What’s funnier than the illegal trafficking of aborted baby parts? To some comedians, it’s mocking the people shocked by it.
Will Ferrell’s comedy website, “Funny or Die” released a parody video, titled “The Shocking Truth about Planned Parenthood" spoofing the Center for Medical Progress’ Planned Parenthood video series-- which revealed Planned Parenthood officials make profits off of selling aborted fetal tissue.
Shot in the style of a somber PSA, the video begins with a grey image of a Planned Parenthood facility and text warning, “The following video may be disturbing to some viewers.” A narrator says, “Planned Parenthood is supported by the state and federal government. But what kind of heinous activities are your tax dollars funding?”
Instead of talking about Planned Parenthood’s fetal organ trafficking business, female comedians share their “horrifying” experiences at Planned Parenthood facilities….receiving cancer screenings and breast exams.
"Planned Parenthood is relentless in screening for breast and cervical cancer," one woman says.
Another woman says dramatically, "They led me down a narrow hallway into a little room filled with medical instruments and they gave me great advice --for prenatal care!"
After the fake shock stories, the target of the attack become even more apparent.
“Planned Parenthood overwhelmed me with the ability to make my own choices-- without having to ask my congressman!” another woman states.
But as the latest Center for Medical Progress video demonstrates, not all Planned Parenthood workers value patient consent or comfort.
The video might as well be a genuine PSA for Planned Parenthood, with Planned Parenthood and NARAL sharing it on social media.
