'How to Get Away with Murder' Show Creator Delivers on Lesbian Sex

As promised in this interview with the show’s creator, Peter Nowalk has every intention to use gay sex scenes as a battering ram on the viewers of ABC's 'How to Get Away with Murder," advancing his premise that America must be shocked awake. You are a prude, America, and Mr. Nowalk intends for you to loosen up!

A new twist this year includes a lesbian relationship for Annalise (Viola Davis) with her former girlfriend. Surprise! Annalise is bisexual. What began as a coy reference to a previous rekindling of their relationship and a kiss, turned into a steamy bedroom scene at the ending of the latest episode "She's Dying."

Nowalk once said that "writing some real gay sex into a network show is to right the wrong of all of the straight sex that you see on TV," we were brought up close and personal with the two women. There was no real need for it, other than to drive the point home that Annalise is now presented as a bisexual woman and perhaps to "right the wrong" of all the dirty talk between the heterosexual characters Frank and Laurel that is interspliced in between. It did little more than fill a minute or two at the very end of the show.

Was it good for you?
