From ‘F*** Tha PoIice’ To ‘Arrest The President’: Make Up Your Mind, Ice Cube

Rapper Ice Cube and his buddies from N.W.A. spent the 80s and 90s glamorizing drugs and crime -- “F*** tha Police” to them was an acceptable way of life. However, every time a Republican president sneezes, Ice Cube has made sure to inform the public that actual bad things are going on. Remember when he compared George Bush to Saddam Hussein?

According to Huffington Post, the rapper released his newest single, aptly titled “Arrest the President” last week, and its lyrics contain what every CNN anchor probably wishes he or she could say.

In the first verse, Ice Cube sends up a plea to Robert Mueller: “Arrest the President / You got the evidence / That n**** is Russian intelligence.” Well, it seems the police are sometimes useful. Later that same verse, he makes a true display of originality: “Did you know the new white was orange?” Good one, Ice Cube. I’ve never heard the President’s skin tone taunted.

The chorus is simply a repetition of “Arrest the president, you got the evidence.” But the final verse actually sees Ice Cube returning to his vigilante street justice roots: “I make ‘em scream bloody murder / Let’s meet at the White House / Run in and turn the lights out.”

Lovely. Ice Cube has joined leftist thought leaders Kathy Griffin, Madonna, and countless others in depicting violence against the President or against the White House, and will inevitably receive the full extent of the media’s protection regardless.
