Just when you thought this election couldn’t get any dirtier, you can now choose between a variety of Donald Trump themed sex paraphernalia including a Trump blow-up sex doll, Trump-themed porn or erotic e-books, and Trump butt plugs!
Fusion spoke with University of Wisconsin sex-toy historian (you read that right, Badger State taxpayers) Hallie Lieberman regarding the wide assortment of Trump themed sex toys and porn available for purchase this election season. “Porn and sex toys are already political,” said Lieberman. They are? “So making Trump the subject of them sends a really strong message.” To people who are receptive to messages from sex toys.
“At least in our culture, Trump on a butt plug delegitimizes him.” Is the qualifier “in our culture” necessary? Are there cultures whose candidates are legitimized with butt plugs?
“In America,” she added, “we take down our politicians if they are too sexual, just like Anthony Weiner.” Actually, as a married U.S. Representative and mayoral candidate who can’t seem to stop exchanging vulgar photos and messages with multiple women online, Weiner took himself down. He was too kinky for NYC!
Lieberman continued, “If a man is perceived as having an erection all the time, it delegitimizes them … it shows him to be a man driven by instinct and reptilian emotional desires, like sex.” And it’s the Trump supporters who are supposedly in a “basket of deplorables”?
The Donald Chump Love Doll, a Trump doll with an erect penis, has fake endorsements from Hitler, David Duke, Stalin, and the KKK. The packaging also features the phrases, “Make America Hate Again!” and “Let’s Keep America Stupid!” Lieberman commented, “He is the only presidential candidate whose policies can be fully explained on the back of a blow-up doll package.” If these sort of crude, disgusting caricatures of Trump were applied to Clinton, you bet you’d be hearing accusations of blatant sexism. But the left gets to play by another set of rules.
Additionally, a porn parody of Trump features him declaring to a half-naked woman that he plans to “fuck the middle class hard.” Another, called “Make America Gape Again,” features five men wearing suits and Trump masks gang-banging a woman in an American flag interrupted by news footage criticizing Trump. The porn film’s director observed, “The truly scary thing has been his rise to power … at least a gangbang is consensual.” The prospect of a certain candidate being voted president is scarier than a gangbang? A conservative who said this would be hearing about perpetrating rape culture for the rest of his life. Remember, serial sex abuser Bill Clinton is just a lovable rogue because he holds the correct views on abortion.
The article also points out that Trump is not the only candidate to be “immortalized by the sex industry,” as there are Clinton butt plugs and blow-up dolls as well as Sanders inspired “Feel the Bern” condoms. However, the message on the packaging for Clinton’s doll reads, “She’ll share her Oval Office with you,” and the sex toys for Democrat candidates are for “more jovial fun-making” (I guess) than scorning the candidate like with Trump.
Lieberman claimed that the wide variety of Trump sex toys and porn “speaks to both the outrage against him and his overt sexuality.” Or maybe it speaks to how sex-obsessed his vitriolic opponents are.
“He’s a super sexual guy and he’s acting in this false way, like he’s a paragon of family values … Porn best shows his hypocrisy,” said sex-historian Lieberman.
Well, thank goodness the porn industry is there to point out Trump’s lack of values.
