This year when ESPN decides who should receive their Courage Award, they might want to consider giving it to one of their own.
Right after team Canada won the Celebrity Game at the NBA All-Star weekend, ESPN’s Sage Steele interviewed Celebrity MVP, and singer for the Arcade Fire, Win Butler.
But instead of celebrating his celebrity athletic prowess, Butler decided to lash out at America:

Steele: So, we’re talking about celebrity stuff, not politics. Congratulations on your MVP!
Now, based on the actions of nearly every celebrity in America, one could quite easily argue that politics and “celebrity stuff” do indeed go hand-in-hand.
But I digress.
What’s most impressive is not merely that someone was stopped from spouting politics and attacking America on ESPN’s airwaves, but that someone was stopped from spouting liberal politics and attacking America on ESPN’s airwaves. And by an ESPN employee, no less.
Bravo, Sage Steele. Bravo.
