First Donald Trump, Now 'Match Game' Targets Ted Cruz

I'm sensing a pattern with ABC's revival of the Match Game. Last week, one prompt was "Donald Trump has created a new Olympic event that he knows he can win. It’s a contest to see who can BLANK the most times in 60 seconds," which gave Rosie O'Donnell an opportunity to bash her nemesis. This week they got political again, but with a different Republican candidate.

Tonight host Alec Baldwin read the cue, "Due to a clerical error, the next Mission: Impossible movie will star Ted Cruz instead of Tom Cruise. So, they're going to rename the franchise BLANK: Impossible." Audible groans were heard from the audience, I can only assume for such a lame category.

The celebrity panelists were Adam Goldberg, Ana Gasteyer, Horatio Sanz, Rosie O'Donnell, Sherri Sheherd and Tituss Burgess, but shockingly the answers weren't nasty attacks on Cruz like they were last week with Trump. The celebrities merely referenced Cruz's failed run for the Oval Office with answers like, "Presidency: Impossible," "White House: Impossible," and "Nomination: Impossible," but none of them matched the contestant's answer of "Campaign: Impossible." (Way to rub it in, by the way.)

I eagerly await Hillary's turn as a question on Match Game. That'll happen soon...right?
