Malkin Schools 'The View' About Obama Administration Corruption

  • Bookmark and Share

It is not often that the women on “The View” are silenced by their own guest, but Michelle Malkin did exactly that when she appeared on the show August 2. Malkin’s new book, “Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks, and Kronies” was bound to be attacked by the left-left leaning panel of “The View,” but Malkin did not give them an opportunity.

Malkin dominated the conversation from the beginning with facts and examples. When asked by Elisabeth Hasselbeck about the corruption her book uncovers, she had several examples. “I scoured from top to bottom,” and started to list some of the more known corruption scandals within the Obama administration, until Joy Behar interrupted and asked, “And there was nothing like that in the Bush administration?”

But Malkin obviously came ready to take charge. “Of course there was. And if you are familiar with my work, Joy, you know that I have been at the forefront of criticizing cronyism, corruption in the Republican Party. I was the largest voice against Harriet Myers and Michael Brown and cronyism at DHS. But guess what? News flash. George Bush is not in office anymore. And it's time for the American public to reckon with the fact that what they were sold was a huge bill of goods.”

Behar was barely able to get a word in, as Malkin continued to make her point. “I filled 400 pages over the last six months to talk about every broken promise. Transparency, accountability, ethics. And I think that there is a turning point in this country, and we’ve seen it over the last several months, and particularly over the last week, Joy, as people are going back to their home districts during this recess, and holding accountable not just Barack Obama but the Democrat majority for failing to deliver.”

Behar wasn’t the only one Malkin shot down. In answer to a question posed by Whoopi Goldberg, Malkin, first called her out for misrepresenting the book and Whoopi admitted she hadn’t written the question. Then Malkin explained what she meant by corruption. “What I'm saying, Whoopi, is that you have to measure this administration, the principal foremost agent of everything fresh and clean, hope and change, isn't that what we were sold this last campaign? And he road in on a horse, a white horse, taller than any other in recent memory…you can talk to any young person who voted for Obama, they thought they were going to get something fresh and clean. We got Tom Daschle, We got Bill Richardson. We got Joe Biden.”

Malkin outlined some of the specific cases of corruption in the Obama administration and told the audience, “And I want people to know that I dedicated this book to whistle blowers. It's not just us crazy right wingers who are calling attention to this. I wouldn't have been able to write this book if it wasn't for people who were knee-deep in the trenches working for Obama who now have buyer’s remorse because they understand that hope and change was a lie.”

Behar, of course, needed to get her two cents in, “But did you have the same feeling about blowing the whistle during the Bush administration when we went into a war that was uncalled for? To say the least.”

Malkin, however, stuck to her principles while at the same time pointing out yet another Obama lie, “Well I believed in the mission and I still believe in the mission in Iraq. And the fact is…despite Obama's promise that we weren't going to get another four years of the Bush administration, guess what? He's not only continuing the surge in Iraq, but also in Afghanistan.”

Malkin left the liberal voices of “The View” in shock, and scored a big win for conservatives.

Three Big Cheers for

Three Big Cheers for Malkin!

I've loved her from day one of ever seeing/listening to her long ago.

Shutting up those clucking hens on The View had to have been priceless...wished you had the video here....nevertheless, I sure thank you for this info, I wouldn't have known anything about it if I hadn't have read it here.

Btw...now I'm laughing because you now have the video above...I shall watch....and enjoy  ;-)

Here you go.  You have to

Here you go.  You have to watch her school Matt Lauer as well, equally priceless.

Many thanks.

Cathy already had the view

Catherine already had the view of "The View".  It is great fun.  I love to see a conservative play such an easy game with these liberal harpies.  Blow them away with facts and a willingness to step on their interruptions and rudeness by not letting them derail the conversation.  If you listen to the audience in the video, Michelle must have been striking a cord with some of the usually liberal member of it.  I think the American public is coming to the realization that the Obama White House's change is going to be the few cent of every hard-earned dollar they allow the middle-class to keep.

Holy moly, Hunter. Lauer

Holy moly, Hunter. Lauer was totally shut down.

Malkin was terrific. In both cases she was able to take charge of the conversation by confidently stating the facts. I think she gave a lot of Obama supporters something to think about.

Phi Slamma Jamma!  Did you see how uncomfortable Baher was?  LOL  Almost like someone was talking bad about her momma.

WOW! Thanks for the link - that is the only way I ever view

The View ;-)  It confirms my belief that Michelle never lets go - if there is anyone in tv I'd like to watch her take on, it's Matt L - and she won that little round HANDS DOWN!  You lose, Matty!!!!

Great job, Michelle!  I'm ordering the book tonight.

Anyone else notice how

Anyone else notice how Sherri Shepard brought up that this was the first election she had voted in?  Me, I wouldn't be bragging about the fact that I was to ignorant and lazy to vote all those years.

She's still ignorant and probably shouldn't be voting...

Hunter... Finally just

Hunter...

Finally just got to the Lauer interview.

She is one of the best.

Her and Liz Cheney remind me of each other....pure class all the way.

Swift wit with nothing but pure facts...and the leftist talking heads just cannot handle them.

Period.

Once again...thank you...it topped off my evening.

Watch for it . . .

If Malkin left the denizens and audience of The View without any points to argue, watch for the White House to send in Michelle Obama for an appearance in the near future to "clear everything up for us," so Behar and company worship her.

They'll have to...

...bring out the 'wide angle' camera for her entrance.

GO MM GO!!!

As much as I admire and agree with most of what Ann Coulter says, frankly, I believe Michelle has a clearer way of speaking.  She is easier to follow and easier to listen to.  No offence, Ann!

It is so refreshing to see the harpies quietly flying away on their brooms, tails firmly tucked between their legs.  Unfortunately, they will fly back tomorrow with another shill for the socialists.

Go out and find the videos

Go out and find the videos where Whoopi is finally waking up to the fact that she is one of the rich, who will be taxed to pay for all these "soak-the-rich, redistribute-wealth" Obama plans.  It's just downright fun to watch.

BO,I agree. Sometime Ann

BO,

I agree. Sometime Ann Coulter can be so flip that her points are either weakened or even lost. Her conversations with Hannity can really be hard to follow, especially when Hannity either steps on her lines or doesn't follow up, changing the subject too quickly. Their conversations leave me exhausted and a little confused as to what was said. I like reading Coulter more than listening to her.

The "Mainstream" Media: By liberals. For liberals.

Chris - totally agree

Ann's wit and clever turn of a phrase are highlighted in the written word.  Informally speaking, not so much.  I would love to see one of her speeches broadcast - when she simply has the stage to herself.  That would be great!

...

I was just going to say something like that.

Her writing style is nothing short of brilliant and witty!  I love reading her books and columns.  Her live presentation...not so likeable.  Keep writing, though, Ann!!

"When people stop believing in God, they don't believe in nothing -- they believe in anything."
  --  GK Chesterton

I think, because her humor

I think, because her humor can be sly and subtle, it can come across as sounding sort of disjointed and "throw away" when she's talking - especially, like I said, when O'Reilly or Hannity are interrupting her or stepping on her punch lines. There's no good flow or rhythm. They're so heavy-handed that they just don't mix well with her style.

The "Mainstream" Media: By liberals. For liberals.

I think you've nailed it

I think you've nailed it about Coulter, Chris. She just doesn't work well in those short-segment situations. She has a very quick mind. But most often she's not given time to flesh out her thoughts.

"All people are born alike - except Republicans and Democrats." - Groucho Marx

Agree - Ann's CPAC speeches are always tops!

I have every one of her books, but her staccato delivery can be a bit confusing in a two-party conversation.

Wah Wah Wah uncalled for war blah blah say the least.

Saddam Hussien's General, not even Saddam Hussein himself verbally agreed to an armistice in 1991, a cease fire. The agreement was that Saddam Hussein, the loser in the war would abide by an upcoming U.N resolution that set the terms.

He violated the terms early and often for 11 years. We were still at war. Saddam Hussein was still at war with most of the known nations on this planet.

The 535 members of Congress authorized military force against Iraq in October 2002. This was a defacto declaration of war. The President of the United States had requested it. The authorization listed 23 reasons spanning decades of wrongs by Saddam Hussein.

There were some 45 countries that agree that Saddam Hussein had to go.

Our President, Our Congress, 45 leaders of our allies all agreed it was time for Saddam Hussein to go. Oh, and me.

I will weigh that against Behar any day.

Sincerely,

a Veteran of a 1000 psychic wars.

Lesson to lefty metrosexuals and their harridans:

Don't mess with Malkin!

The sad fact is that these

The sad fact is that these people aren't really concerned about corruption as long as they're successful in destroying those who disagree with them and in advancing their agenda.

But boy would I have loved to hear the 'catty' (can I say that?) comments about Michelle when she was out of earshot!

MM...

MM is calm, bright and has good instincts -- she sticks to the facts and logically lays out her arguments. She also doesn't get rattled or defensive when lefties confront her, which is what they often count on to try to water down the conservative message -- but that doesn't work with her. It's darn hard to argue with truth. In contrast to MM, Joy looks even more smirky, jerky and flaky than usual.

By Extension

I believe these same people were calling for investigations and impeachment galore of the Bush Administration.  Now, their boy is being accused of the same things, and they say Bush did it too.

If doing the same things were grounds for investigations and impeachment for Bush, why aren't these same people calling for investigations and impeachment of Obama?

I guess its one of those things that makes you go... hmmmmm.

Proud to have just brought

Proud to have just brought home Michelle's book from CostCo. They also had Dick Morris' Catastrophe and Mark R. Levin's Liberty and Tyranny. Not bad for a CostCo in La La Land.

Almost as fun to read are the un-read book reviews on Amazon where LibNuts can give low ratings to books they have no intention of even touching. For example: "This book is like putting your head over a toilet-it is full of lies, misconceptions, and especially hatred. I do not know how this author can look at herself in the mirror. Do not waste your time."

Yeah, Liberals love to read...

We Need. . .

The conservative party needs politicians who will just as eloquently stand up to the Obama machine and fight back. All we have now is metrosexuals snake in the grasses more worried about their image than fighting for our country and it's values and principals. Where does Michelle live? I want her to be my congress-women. I want her to go to Washington and fight for our country!

Comparing the View appearances of Michelle & McCain is

a NO-BRAINER - MM comes across as in charge while McCain just sat there and let them walk all over him and his wife.  And then, of course, we have the lovely? maiden, Meghan - they all delighted in her since she was trashing any and all Republicans! (thankfully, she seems to have disappeared)

The Flip Side

(Like it would ever happen) I'd like to see a rival show on FoxNews called "The Right View" with Malkin, Coulter, Ingraham, and say - Monica Crowley - tossed together with some older milder mannered conservative woman host, like, say, Liz Trotta. They could have on liberal authors and personalities and cut them to shreds and then have on a conservative so they can ooh and aah over him or her. It'd be the same as The View, except that the IQ level would be so much higher...

Wow, now that would be spectacular!

Re Whoopi

Whoopi is too dense to write her own questions on a morning talk show? Do the questions come right from the White House maybe? Or does Baba write them all?

Re Coulter, reading vs listening, I agree. Her delivery is always in an insulting style, and she giggles at inappropriate moments. Malkin makes a much more challenging and professional debater.

Proferring a scrap of paper

Proferring a scrap of paper with words on it made her look ridiculous.

BTW, what's with the Aunt

BTW, what's with the Aunt Jemima outfit Whoopi's wearing? (I hope this isn't considered profiling.)

          Brilliant

Brilliant! It takes a strong woman to shut up the ladies of the View, who think they know anything about the Constitution.         Patriot & Proud!

great job

I love that the hosts were rendered speechless. Joy was just ITCIN' to do some bitchin' but Malkin stuck to her guns, and got her points across. I hate when the hosts dominate and don't allow the guests to speak (think Shuster and Orly on msnbc today...). It also helps that Michelle is a great communicator, and has a firm grasp of the subject at hand.

It was a joy to watch.

woo hoo

I love his young lady.  If only the republican party elected officials had her balls....

Why are the men of the GOP hiding behind MM and Liz Cheney?

Malkin was wonderful, she's far more intelligent than those idiot women and it showed. She also has a lot more class than any of them because she was able to put Joy and Whoopie in their place without being insulting.  Malkin's book is eye opening, even for someone like me who never liked Obama.

Ms. Malin's so cool. But

Ms. Malin's so cool.

But this really isn't a good forum for her to be on.  She can't present the details over the cackling hens and in the time allotted.

All they wanted to do was to attack Bush.

One of the 34% who thinks George W. Bush was a great President. One of the 61% who wants to bring back the stock and pillory (yep...approval for Congress now at 39%...do you believe that!?).

As I thought about this

As I thought about this story I realized also that Behar wasn't trying to defend Obama (there is no defense) she just wanted to make it Bush did it too.

There's a less than ringing endorsement.

Those women

Afterwards the women on the View except for Elisabeth said that Michelle Malkin was a poopyhead.....

Joy read some of the book?

Yea right. She probably doesn't even know how to read. She thinks all she has to do is bring up Bush and make a face and the audience will hoot and hollar. She also looked like she was going to cry at the end. boo hoo!

Malkin

Brains beats stupidity everyday!  Hasselbeck is the only one on the show that has any intelligence.

Before we have a government that can supply us with everything we will have a government that can provide us with nothing.

Malkin

I like Malkin, but she is a neo-con of the first degree.  I still dislike her for saying that Ron Paul does not belong in the Republican party.  He wasthe only one of the candidates that actually understands our downward spiral to the trash heap of history.

Please explain "neo-con"

Could you explain the definition of "neo-con" and how it applies to Malkin?

neo-con

A "neocon" is more inclined than other conservatives
toward vigorous government in the service of the goals of traditional
morality and pro-business policies. Tends to favor a very strong
foreign policy.

A true conservative is defined by Kirk in his book, "The Conservative Mind".

Small governement, etc., etc.  All the things that the neo-cons claim but never support.

And where did you get that definition.

Sources please. Only leftists & trolls usually throw around the neocon word here.

Sources please.  Either you are pregnant or not. Either you are conservative or not.

Sources please. What is a neocon?

Sincerely,

a Veteran of a 1000 psychic wars.

Ron Paul is a nutjob of the

Ron Paul is a nutjob of the first degree and an opportunist to boot.  He has switched parties for convieneince just like Arlen Spector.  He has some good ideas but no foreign policy worth mentioning other than the ostorige offense/defense plan.  I think he may be one step up from Duh One in that respect.  The reason he was ignored is because none of his plans will work.

Those Poor Gals

Sending MM to debate them would be like sending a major league baseball pitcher into a Little League game. Michelle's IQ is higher than these "ladies'" combined.

Proven Facts will always-

win out over emotional BS. And that is why Ms Malkin will rein supreme over all the "believers". The hatred for GWB put rose colored glasses on the progressives. And now that the chickens have come home. Change is not so good!!! Tax increases for everyone-rationed Government Health Care-Perfect!!!

BHO-  THE PROGRESSIVE PIRATE

Coulter, Cheney, & Malkin...

It appears that the Conservative voice is being articulated again...and never more beautifully.  Sure, there are others, but for me these 3 are it.

I love all of these ladies because each have a different style, but their core beliefs are the same.  Some may hate Coulter, but tolerate Cheney, and think Malkin's hot--the combinations are endless.  The goal is to get people to listen, 3 messengers can't hurt.

The next election cycle will be interesting.

 -gordy.

Let's add Palin

Let's add Palin to the list as she is now free to solidify her public persona.

Whoopi lied at the end of the show

im not sure if you saw the very end of the show where the credits roll Whoopi states that "the young lady that they had on the show (malkin) stated on the Today show that Obama's administration is the most corrupt in history.

im certain that not that many caught that at the end but I did and it's also another lie by these nitwits b/c i watched malkins interview and what she said was the Obama admin is rife with corruption. there's a difference and Whoopi's a liar as usual.
