Van Susteren Does the Right Thing Regarding Misogynist Louis C.K.
A couple of years ago, “comedian” Louis CK “joked” on the Opie and Anthony radio show about Palin coming to the Republican convention “holding a baby that just came out of her f-ing, disgusting [C-word], her f-ing retard-making [C-word].”
Last night, I emailed letters to all the female anchors and on air TV correspondents at all broadcast and cable broadcast networks, numbering more than 60, asking them if they “stand behind the association's decision to give Louis C.K. an endorsement and give him the honor of sharing the stage with the President of the United States given his vile remarks – never even apologizing or even acknowledging he was wrong?”
I wrote similar language to the female journalists we reached out to, asking the following question: “If you are comfort
able with the media reporting on Rush Limbaugh's comment -- and apology -- then you should have no problem calling for the Association which represents you to disinvite someone who has demeaned women in such an abhorrent way.”
Within approximately one hour of this email being sent out, Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren posted a blog using similar language calling for a boycott of the Association’s dinner. Susteren wrote in her blog: “Another pig….and a media association has hired the pig, Louis C.K., to be their headliner for the big media dinner? Really? I am not going. I refuse to go. Everyone in the media should join me in this boycott.”
Good for Greta. Due to this quick success, the hardcopy letters mailed out today have already served their purpose. Following Van Susteren's criticism, Louis C.K. has withdrawn from the Association's dinner.

I don't seem to recall the huge feminist outrage that must have occurred as a result of those misogynistic, discriminatory, hate-laden comments posing as humor.
Or the other remarks he's sent her way that follow the same template.
Or the courage of conviction he had to tell his alleged jokes while Todd Palin was in the room.
Way to go, Brent. Outstanding work.

One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands (Crux - Farming In Beijing) has the lyrics:
...If they have another baby,
they get dragged to abortion houses...
and then they hold a little conference
for the betterment of women.
And guess who makes a lovely presence?
None but that "caring" Mrs. Clinton.
Well, she's the queen of kid's defense
and another NAGging woman.
I guess if you're killing kids,
your status is: Most Favored Nation.
And if you like to lie
and abolish human rights,
then you're the perfect candidate

why do the people who uphold the more liberal belief systems have this uncanny ability to avoid answering the question about "double standards".
You have Rush Limbaugh making a crude comment concerning a young lady who believes that its acceptable to take government assistance in the form of sexual contraceptive aids. She readily admits she has a sexual active lifestyle requiring contraceptives, but she demands that we the public pay for her indulgences. Rush points out that she has more than sufficient financial means to support her personal lifestyle. Whereby he dropped a bomb on her character.
On the other hand, we have slews of vulgar references directed at conservative women of public interest by liberal MSM celebrity positions. Bill Maher comes to mind as well as Russell Brand, and many many more. Each progressive liberal supporter makes unbelievable verbal comments of a more dramatic insulting rude public airwaves comment. And nothing..
Where's the Women's Groups protesting those comments by a liberal moderator on a TV program. Where's the outrage and the female lawyer Ms.Allred coming to the defense of Sarah Palin.
No, Rush's comment was dramatic but correct.
It goes back further than that

after our cynical, disingenuous, opportunistic President took his stand against misogynistic comments (by conservatives only), was he planning to condemn this event hosted by a liberal mysogynist, who said things 100 times worse than Rush said?
Did someone acting on the President's behalf contact Louis CK and ask the scumbag to withdraw, given that his presence would have drawn further attention to the media's, the President's, and his party's craven hypocrisy on the subject of misogyny?
Last - who in the journalist's association voted on or was elected to choose the M.C.? Were any of the journalists who suggested Louis CK, or voted for his selection, reporting on or otherwise associated with the production of the multitude of Rush stories the past couple of weeks?
The fact that the tv media pounced all over Limbaugh's nasty and ill-advised comments, then selected a guy for their dinner who's said many things 100 times worse, is delicious proof of the sick, duplicitous mind of the media, and their cynical, partisan deceits.

It is sad that Greta even had to take this stand. The fact that CK was ever even invited to host shows just how much the leftist media cares about defending women. . . and, of course, he's pulling out "after conservative outcry." As reported in the Los Angeles Times:
Louis C.K. has pulled out as host of the Radio and Television Correspondents' Assn. Dinner following conservative complaints about the comedian's past comments about Sarah Palin.
Multiple reports confirm C.K. is no longer scheduled to appear at the June 8 event. There has been no official reason given for his bowing out of the event, however.
The complaints began with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren, who has frequently interviewed Palin on her show. [..]
See - this is really Greta Van Susteren's fault.
Unlike any ethical violation from the left - like Bill Maher - where the outrage? Where is the anger? This is presented through the pen of the MSM journalist, themselves; here, this is only all about the little baby conservatives having a tantrum.
I'm trying to remember if I recall any headlines which said, "Rush Limbaugh apologetics after liberals express their outrage over his comments."
Most folks reading the news - if they even manage to hear about this horrid scandal involving the Annual Radio and Television Correspondents Association Dinner - will not have the slightest chance in understanding what in the world "conservatives" are so upset about.

Louis C.K. was booked for the RTCA dinner last year, well before the thing with Rush, obviously.
It wasn't a big leftist conspiracy to get the guy because he's a Palin-basher, the President of the Association this year asked him because he's a personal fan, or was.
I'd never heard of the guy till January, but apparently his "humor" is not generally political in nature. He was just jumping on the entertainment industry's Palin-bashing cool wagon, and it happens to be an uncomfortable place to be right now thanks to the backlash against the attack on Rush.

Go ahead, take everything I've ever posted and toss it away based on what you're reading into this one comment.
Palin bashing is the cool thing to do among brain dead liberals, where it passes for wit. My point was that the guy doesn't base his "comedic career" on political "humor", so it wasn't a political pick as much as a "He's cool" pick. If this guy based his "comedy" on bashing Palin we'd have heard of him long before now.
So, if you want to think I'm defending this guy rather than simply pointing out that picking him was typical liberal stupidity rather than an anti-Palin plot, you can shove it in every orifice.
