MRC's Bozell Announces Launch of 'Tell the Truth! 2012' Campaign
Today I’m announcing that the Media Research Center, the largest media watchdog group in America, with over 500,000 members, is undertaking the largest effort in our 25 year history. Today we formally unveil our national "Tell the Truth! 2012" campaign.
The liberals dominating the national media have been doing their best to influence elections for years. It’s 2012 and already we have documented endless examples of the so-called news media covering up the failures of the Obama presidency and attacking every conservative presidential candidate one by one by one.
These attacks – just as we predicted – are not based on policy debates. They are personal, an onslaught of character assassination against anyone who dares to challenge Obama.
Then, something amazing happened in South Carolina last week. One of the candidates finally confronted the media on their blatant bias, and the American people stood up and cheered.
It’s time for Americans to take a stand, once and for all, against this leftist media. It’s time for Americans to stand up and declare, once and for all, that the leftwing so-called news media are no longer going to pick winners and losers. It’s time for Americans to demand of our news media that they return to the business of reporting – accurately, fairly, honestly.
Our "Tell the Truth! 2012" campaign is already underway. You have seen our signs – "Don’t Believe the Liberal Media" all over the campaign trail in recent weeks. In Iowa. New Hampshire. South Carolina. Now in Florida. It is not just MRC members that are taking to the streets with our signs, it’s grassroots activists everywhere, inundating our offices with requests.
"Tell the Truth! 2012" will have many, many components. Hundreds of thousands of "Don’t Believe the Liberal Media!" bumper stickers, signs and buttons will be distributed. Billboards with our "Don’t Believe the Liberal Media" or "Tell the Truth! 2012" message will appear around the country. Ditto mobile billboards. There will be paid advertising, on television, on the radio, on the internet.
There will be the largest social media effort ever undertaken by conservatives, via Facebook, Twitter, email, and our own video platform, MRCTV, to spread the word. Over 1 million Americans will participate in this effort.
Over $3 million has been raised thus far. The total expenditures for "Tell the Truth! 2012" are projected to be over $5 million.
Our demand to the press is simple: Tell the truth. Be fair, honest, and honorable. The rules that pertain to one side must pertain to the other. No more efforts to elect one candidate and defeat the other. Those days are officially over.
In short, this is our message to the leftwing so-called news media: To the degree you try to tilt this election, we will be there – documenting, exposing, and neutralizing your efforts. The reason you are losing your audiences by the millions is because of your bias. You may continue, at your own peril.
Fasten your seat belts. We’re coming after you.

And I don't know HOW it considered me as "even if you are part of the new upper class," unless that's the same thing as calling people who make $250K a year millionaires. I don't even make 50K a year! But this is what it said about me:
You scored between 9 and 12, In other words, even if you're part of the new upper class, you've had a lot of exposure to the rest of America.

I did take issue with the wording of a few of the questions, but I guess it's all in fun.

Much needed and long overdue. We, as public citizens, need to do our part by calling out media bias when we see it and complain loudly and often -to the advertisers that support those who lie to us.
Not just telling the truth...
Submitted by ArcherB on Thu, 01/26/2012 - 2:47pm.
It's not that the media does or does not tell the truth. The problem is the "truth" they decide to tell and which thruths they refuse to tell. For example, take a look at the DrudgeReport today. The entire top half of the page is devoted to Newt. You'll see that same thing on other media outlets as time goes on.
When a conservative screws up, it's headline news. Sure, it may be the truth, but it doesn't deserve the coverage it receives. If a rumor about a conservative crops up, it is repeated over and over and over again, every half hour or so on every news media outlet. It makes the front page for weeks in print. Any time a conservative is interviewed or even mentioned, the criticism is brought front a center. A reporter will say, "critics of Fred Fleabite say that he is doing this for..." or "Your critics say that this is merely a stunt to..." with either no chance for response or mention of differing views.
Now when a liberal screws up. It is ignored. The media responds with "it's not really relevant". When a rumor about a liberal is spreading, the media ignores it as well saying, "we don't give unsubstantiated rumors coverage." When interviewed or reported on, critical viewpoints are not brought up and light, fluffy aspects are given full coverage. "Ms. Obama, what is your favorite holiday tradition?", "Do you think that the hungry should be fed?", or even, "Tell me about the wonderful programs you have created to save kittens from blenders".
There is also bias in HOW the truth is told. For example, a reporter may say, "President Obama is urging congress to roll back tax cuts for the wealthier Americans started by President Bush." Another reporter might say, "President Obama wants to raise taxes on everyone that pays taxes, which is currently only top 55% of wage earners."
In the examples I've listed above, the truth was told. It's a matter of which truths are told and how they are told.
"To send men to the firing squad, judicial proof is unnecessary."

...yep, and apparently either or both the msn/dnc and McRomney groups got a hold of Drudge.
Drudge is usually fair playing but today he dropped a newt bomb.
But the truth is near...Drudge versus history:
For several days Drudge has been running almost around-the-clock negative banners against Newt, hyping negatives and burying news which contradicts the Romney campaign narrative that Newt was anti-Reagan.
Drudge has 30 million visits a day on his side. We have history on our side. Make it known.
...and this:
Nancy Reagan 1995: Ronnie turned that torch over to Newt
There is something truly obscene about the full blown assault on Newt Gingrich’s strong Reagan conservative history from and on behalf of Mitt Romney, who unabashedly ran away from the Reagan legacy and conservative principles in his 1994 Senate campaign and 2002 gubernatorial campaign. Truly obscene.
Quite to the contrary of the Romney message, Newt Gingrich was in fact one of Reagan’s Young Lieutenants.
One of the best.
...hmm, whom got a hold of Drudge?

Report: 36 Obama staffers delinquent on federal taxes
I won't hold my breath waiting for this piece of "truth" to be reported on any of the MSM television networks, except for a brief 15 second blurb late on Friday.

5 Million dollar campaign-----Mr. Bozell are you going to name names? Show their faces? Just calling them "media" and CBSNBCABC is not enough. This should be a 5 million dollar Alinsky campaign. Pick the 5 most disgustingly biased anchors and use 1 million each to embarrass them and out them as Obeyme/DNC apparatchiks.

If you want to eliminate media bias.....

The first place you have to start by holding Fox 'News" accountable. If you were to eliminate the pro-conservative/anti-Obama bias from Fox, you would effectively eliminate 90% of the bias in television news.

Are you implying that "only" fox news is biased? If we eliminated biased news, all that would be left is Fox..
Actually, it would only be Shepard Smith
Submitted by gwinnettman30045 on Fri, 02/03/2012 - 1:44am.
No, there is bias in all media.
CNN is the most unbiased of all news networks. Of course, bias always creeps in as we are human beings and incapable of being 100% unbiased.
Fox is the most biased of all news networks, having been founded for the sole purpose of promoting conservative causes and conservative candidates for office.
There was no such thing as the liberal media until a few years ago when MSNBC decided to use the Fox model and promote progressive causes the way Fox promotes conservative causes. Even then, MSNBC gives more time to conservatives, such as Joe Scarborough, while most of Fox's "progressives" are really just conservative democrats. (Alan Colmes and occasionally Juan Williams notwithstanding).
The difference there is that MSNBC promotes itself as being progressive where Fox hides behind a completely false banner of "Fair & Balanced". If these three networks had to suddenly cease broadcasting any program with partisan bias, CNN would mostly be unaffected. MSNBC would have to lose half their shows. The only person who could continue broadcasting on Fox would be Shepard Smith and even then, he'd have a hard time with that since most of the FNC reporters wouldn't be able to come on air.

Good stuff that. Can it be underestimated the convenience of delusion? How does one speak to such expedient fancy? Is there a case that can be made that would compel one predisposed to accept such a ridiculous claim to abandon that entrenched position?
In other words... anyone who spouts that type-o-nonsense is a waste of breath (and bandwidth).
