Bozell Statement On ABC's January Surprise Against Newt
It is not necessarily inappropriate for a news outlet to interview a candidate’s former wife. However, three conditions must be met: 1) Is it newsworthy? 2) Is it fair and respectful to the families involved? 3) Is the timing appropriate?
On the timing issue alone it is clearly inappropriate for ABC to run this interview on the eve of the South Carolina primary. This smacks of an October Surprise of the worst sort, for which so many in the left-wing press have become so infamous. There is no reason it couldn’t run next week.
If it doesn’t meet the conditions of newsworthiness or fairness and respect it should be killed altogether.

If so, this will be the last we hear from the former Mrs Gingrich #2.
By the way, despite 5 years of relentless searching, ABC has yet to find (and interview) anyone who even knew Barack Obama between 1979 and 2004.
Nor any woman who ever caught the hunk's eye since the age 12, apart from the giantess with great abs whom he married.(Probably after losing an arm-wrestling contest.)

Didn't he brag in one of his books about a white woman he was involved with, but jilted so he could be true to his race?
Why, yes, I do believe he did.
"I realized that our two worlds, my friend's and mine, were as distant from each other as Kenya is from Germany. And I knew that if we stayed together I'd eventually live in hers."
Never mind that he's claiming "his world" is Kenya.
OK, maybe it's just a load of crap he made up to bolster his street cred, and said woman has never emerged, but that's about it.

'Deconstructing Obama', by Jack Cashill. Pg. 185. "In Dreams, Obama creates a similarly virile image of himself. At one point, when his half-sister Auma visits him in Chicago pre-Michelle, he tells her about a ruptured relationship with a white woman back in New York. He adds, with more than a little calculation, "There are several black ladies out there who've broken my heart just as good," butwe do not read as much as a single sentence about any of these ladies. The astute reader wonders whether they exist."
"She was white," he tells Auma. "She had dark hair, and specks of green in her eyes. We saw each other for almost a year." It turns out that this reference is a lie. It refers to Diana Oughton, the girl friend of Bill Ayers. She died in a a bomb-blast in Greenwich Village in 1970. The entire reference was manufactured by Ayers who actually wrote 'Dreams.'

there is not a SINGLE identified heterosexual woman who has ever come forth indicating that she ever dated B.O. or had an affair with B.O. As a heterosexual male I do not know, nor have I ever known a single male heterosexual friend of mine who NEVER had ANY contact with a woman during his teenage years or later. It is bizarre that seemingly out-of -nowhere he suddenly finds and marries an Amazonian-looking woman. The question lingers: Was it an arrangement so that he appeared to be electable to the masses? Add to that everything else NO ONE KNOWS about this Manchurian assassin and it simply makes your head spin with questions of who put him into the WH.

B.O. spent 13 years on the mainland of the United States as a "swinging? single", ten of those pre-Michelle. And yet there is not one woman, black, white or Martian who has ever come forward to indicate they ever met him, had a drink with him, held hands with him, kissed him, made-out with him, or had sex or any nature with him. None. Must have been a very lonely life for poor old B.O. Or was it?

With ABC airing this interview to affect the vote in SC, it is as if they are a PAC for Obama. I say the vote in November is as much a vote against the MSM as it is a vote against Obama and his failed policies for this country.

They plan to as the election process goes on from time to time, disrupt the process with timley tid bits of damaging stories, and it doesn't matter if these stories are years old and already pretty much in public knowlegde.
Just enough to make sure that the person they really want to run against Obama gets it before they start the bashing of him. They not ony now will publish this kind of crap, but now they will publish rumors and gossip as real news, and only after they have achieved their goal of re-electing thier main man Obama, will they come back and admit the story really was false.

Joan Kennedy, former wife of The Lion of the Senate suffered far more than Newts ex. This from Wikipedia:
In July 1969, her husband was involved in a car accident off Chappaquiddick Island in Massachusetts that killed his passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne. Although pregnant and confined to bed in the wake of two previous miscarriages, she attended Kopechne's funeral. Three days later she stood beside her husband in court when he pleaded guilty to having left the scene of an accident. She suffered a third miscarriage shortly thereafter.
In early 1978, the couple separated. She subsequently gave interviews with People and McCall's confirming her alcoholism and her work to stay sober. The couple remained together during his failed 1980 U.S. presidential campaign, announcing plans to divorce in 1981; the divorce was finalized in 1982.

Bolstering those allegations is the fact that his most notorious accuser, Larry Sinclair, limits Obama's role to that of the passive partner in oral sex, a role that could have been ingrained 'chez' "Frank", given Davis's obsession with pleasing people orally."
"The fierce and frequent public debate about gay-related issues makes Obama's sexual history RELEVANT. If what Sinclair says is true -- and he has a written a book about the same, titled, a wee bit sensationally, "Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder?" -- there may be OTHERS out there even more exploitive and extortive than Sinclair."

Unfortunately I live in the LA area and local talk radio is playing songs like "Turn Out the Lights, The Party's Over" refering to Newt.
During the 'journalistic' assault on him this morning, he said it best. He has made mistakes in his personal life that he regrets. Although he's not giving the press a play by play of what he did in the 90's, he's not DENYING anything except that he didn't serve his first wife with divorce papers while she was in a hospital bed. He knew all this was coming and STILL decided to run because he was appauled watching Obama beat the hell out of McCain in 08 and he knows Obama will clean Romney's clock as well.
So wake up people...yes he's got some damn baggage LIKE WE ALL DO including the current socialist calling the shots. But you never hear about that.

Yes, Newt said that it's better to release the tax return now instead of later. So what? This 'news' today is not news. We all new Gingrich had issues in his past. You seem to indicate that Newt's PAC was hammering Romney about Bain when it was Romney who has been outspending him 10 to 1. Romney was hammaring; Newt was lightly tapping. They can interview Newt's wives 24-7. I could care less. It's not new. It's not anything that I didn't already know.

You say that you're embarrassed about conservative candidates like Gingrich and Santorum. But you're proud of a moderate/slightly left candidate like Romney or someone who belongs in a straight jacket like Paul?
I don't get it.

Anyone who thinks Newt is a "conservative" will never "get it".
So what is Newt?
Submitted by NeoConfirmed on Fri, 01/20/2012 - 7:07pm.
A liberal? A moderate?
Anyone who doesn't see Newt as conservative doesn't know the meaning of the word. Who do you want Buddy? Is is Mitt the NH 'conservative'. Great choice Buddy!
Here's the secret to why I've wanted Newt all along:
Unlike Romney......Newt has been on TV and radio for years being paid to say what he really thinks without any fear of getting votes or offending anyone.
In this day and age I want someone who takes no crap and no prisoners! Period.
I truly believe that the debates in 08 won Obama the election despite the media falling all over him.
I truly believe that Romney cannot make a single point stick on Obamacare. That is a HUGE negative for him.
And finally...and you can call me crazy...if I have to listen to a president for 8 years...I would much rather have someone who has a masterful grasp of every issue including defending himself against all attacks than a governor from a northeast state that looks like part but is a shell inside.
I cannot believe what I am

I cannot believe what I am reading.
Let's review who Newt Gingrich is.
Maybe I am missing something, but exactly how does that make Newt the "conservative alternative?" Or a reliable conservative at all?
Add to that his being cited by Congress while he served.
Perry was right. We cannot wait till the Fall election to vet our candidates. Because if Newt is the candidate you can bet that one set of the Obama commercials against him will be about his divorcing wife #1 while she had cancer, divorcing wife #2 when she learned she had M.S., and at the time he was divorcing his second wife he was lecturing President Clinton on morality over extra-marital affairs.
There is a reason why so former congressional colleagues of Newt and said that if her were nominated to they could not support him.
We don't need October surprises in October and if Gingrich cannot withstand the media barrage of this ABC interview then he will never withstand the barrage that will be coming at him in the Fall if he is the nominee.

It is code for religious bigotry. "Real Conservative" means the most viable non mormon candidate.
IRONIC SECULAR BLOWBACK!

As far as Newt and ex-wife rant...its going nowhere for 3 reasons:
the secularization of America has (ironically by democrats) lowered moral outrage...especially
since half of marriages fail...
Bill (30 year serial adulterer/open marriage standard) Klinton
and lastly...90% of this "news" is not...side note...its 12 years old or more.

It may not be new news, but it's new to a lot of people who never even heard of Newt before this election cycle, and I'm pretty sure it will bother a lot of them. How sad would it be if the guy representing family values in the 2012 election was actually Barack Obama? A lot of people are blaming ABC here, but there wouldn't even be a story if Newt hadn't cheated on two different wives with who knows how many different women.
Still have your doubts about Newt

Not me, he will do! I still like Rick, but I can get behind Newt also
