FNC’s Bret Baier Shows Second Obama ‘Photo Fail’

By Brent Baker | November 04, 2011 | 10:08

Brent Baker's picture

President Barack Obama did it again Thursday and FNC’s Bret Baier has again provided slow-mo play-by-play of Obama’s “talk to the hand” ill-timed wave which blocked the face of another world leader during a group photo-shoot.

In September, at the UN in New York City, his victim was the President of Mongolia. At the G-20 in Cannes, France his hand went up in front of the face of India’s Prime Minister. (video below)

Baier recounted in his “Grapevine” segment on the Thursday, November 3 Special Report:

Back in September we told you that President Obama had a photo fail during the United Nation’s group picture. At one point he raised his hand and joked photographers had to have gotten a good shot, but at that exact moment, President Obama’s hand completely obscured the man standing next to him who happened to be the President of Mongolia.

It happened, again, today at the G-20 summit in France. A photographer asked attendees to get back in formation. After a moment, President Obama waved to say he was done. But that meant India’s Prime Minister got the talk to the hand treatment this time around.

Sorry, but having done photography myself, I don't see these as "fails" so much as attempts to make DuhOne look bad.(as if he needs any help in that regard!)  Like before, you look at the video and you see the strobe lights of the flashes going off, that's the photogs taking the wise step of taking multiple pictures because there's going to be a good one(or pick the best one).

That also means there's going to be a bad one, such as the hand in front of the face.  So whoever says that it's a photo "fail" is actually misidentifying it.  It's more in line with those photos of trying to catch someone eating a corndog in a seemingly compromising way.  How many of those have we seen?

I said that he doesn't need any help looking bad, he does it just fine on his own.  His waving the hand around like that proves just that.  His narcissim makes him do that.

And I've done plenty of group photos to where I would tell someone who was so full of himself that he would do the same thing to stop doing that so I can take the pictures.  It's very annoying when that happens, it's like dealing with a little kid, and that's what this manchild is.

What it does show is that not one of the other people in the photo felt the need to raise their hands like an ADD-afflicted child. They stood still, patiently smiling, waiting for the photos to be taken. Would it have been that hard for the "anointed one" to just stand still for five seconds? Pathetic.

reached critical mass, the insipid slo-mo, play-by-play analysis of Obama's alleged international photo faux pas by Baier completely and permanently removes it.

Not only is FNC's reporting of this eminently unimportant "news" story remarkably silly, it is also essentially dishonest.  To the extent there was interference with the photographic shoot, the finger of blame must be primarily pointed at the G-20 host, Sarkozy.  It was the French president who first broke ranks from the group in the initial sequence and then returned to his spot for an additional photo.  Obama momentarily raised his hand and quickly lowered it for a final group pose, and it was immediately after that when, once again, Sarkozy moved first--this time with his arms and hands--which effectively ended the session.

Sarkozy forced the President to throw up his hand during a second picture opportunity after the first picture opportunity where the President was made to look kinda silly with a picture going around with his hand in front of the face of the leader of another country? Where is the pictures of Sarkozy breaking in and out of ranks blocking the faces of other leaders? I only see the one picture here where the French leader has his hands out at waist level only blocking the view of President Obama's hoohah.

If this is an example of the critical mass of ODS. Then the image of President Bush tugging on a locked door must be...oh wait, that was just the media having a good natured ribbing at the President's expense, not BDS. Or wait, did I get that wrong too? I am so confused.

Obama held up his hand for no more than one second after the request for the group to reform. He then immediately lowered it, posing for another group picture, which I am sure the photographers were able to shoot without the offending hand in front of anyone's face. I'm not even sure what the purpose could be for posting the still frame appearing at the bottom of the blog. That shot was after the photo session was completed.

The hand, and the timing, and the flashes, and the face, yeah we went through this and I was with you then. Once is enough. I learned that lesson in band camp.

The point of the bottom picture is to show where the French President put his hands when tryiing to escape all the flashes.

No really, we have to sit the man down like a little child and say, "don't put your hand up in this situation when you want to stop the picture taking." A grown man. This is what it will take?

Attention to detail - actually I learned that in boot camp.

But whatever, I have never seen Pamela Geller on Fox News and her sister FBN. And it is my only news channel. So, wow, my butt feels smoky. Is someone blowing smoke? Wait, now you did not say you saw it on the tube. So really, you caught it on Mediaite , so I guess it counts as a mention.

I really linked to it as a way of saying, yeah, for a smart guy, this guy does a lot of things people learned were dumb when they were still practicing the flute in band camp.

All right. I am finished with the Pamela segment. You know I am no birther. But this edited thing shows me she was asking some of the same stupid questions a lot of people were asking. Why the green stuff? (Vet answer - because Hawaii gives you spiffiness when you request forms) Wait. Now wait. Why the 3 year wait? (Vet answer - Dude, I want to know this too. Nothing on that paper calls out for a 3 year wait) Bush TANG papers WERE faked (Vet response - Yes. Dan Rather. 8-|)

No Dude. Go back. Look at it again. She did not question anything on that paper. Watch it again. Here. Here is the link in case you forgot to click before. Tell me what screamed birther looniness in her questions.

I have watched the FBN segments with the raving lunatic Geller once again. Actually, Eric Bolling does more or the pointing out than does the birther Geller, although she either doesn't dispute or actively backs up and expands upon the areas of suspicion he raises--the "photoshopped" border, the handwritten marginal notes, the veracity of the attending physician who signed the certificate ["maybe HE wasn't aware of it (the birth), either", exclaims Geller].

Of course this also provides her an opportunity to launch into her "Who Is This Man" oration--embellished with the preposterous allegation that Dan Rather himself forged Bush's National Guard records.

Please spare me any further nutty rants from this woman.

Again.

Submitted by The Vet on Sat, 11/05/2011 - 5:53pm.

This is the first video I have ever seen of the "raving lunatic".

Bolling points out impressions on the paper or artifacts from the copying/original document. And this is birther crap how? Stupid meaningless crap, yes. Birther?

And yes the border crap. We have said this, again. It was created in Adobe. The document was created IN Adobe. So there will be photoshop elements. Everyone was talking about that the first 2 days.

["maybe HE wasn't aware of it (the birth), either", exclaims Geller].

Dude? A doctor that specializes in helping pop out babies probably sees literally thousands of births. No, the doctor probably did not remember. Again, birther? The doctor did not remember he was the attending physician at the birth of the President of the United States. And yes, Mr. Bolling's question was a little weird.

You and I are on the same page on this birther stuff. This was filler material on a show I don't watch for a reason.

Of course this also provides her an opportunity to launch into her "Who Is This Man" oration--embellished with the preposterous allegation that Dan Rather himself forged Bush's National Guard records.

Holy crap on a stale biscuit. We all know Dan Rather did not forge the documents himself. Ya think that might have been an embellishment something along the lines of "raving lunatic"?

So I have watched this a third time. Knowing I am sick to death of birthers, you have made me watch this three times. Where is the "raving lunatic" part come in?

I KNOW what your stance has been on the "birther" issue. It qualifies as one of your "finest hours" during your NB career. It is one thing to have merely refrained from endorsing the sentiments of birthers. It is quite another to consistently and directly challenge them as you have done over the past few years.  A profile in courage.

Even Bolling describes Geller as a "leader of the birther movement for years".  That, in my opinion, is prima facie evidence of raving lunacy.

I don't consider his little 'beer summit' and tepid apology for the Cambridge police comments to be much of a 'walk back' - in fact, that was one of the few times he's actually been honest about the way he thinks. Same with the 'punish your enemies' statement - hell, Jer............how many other statements has the guy made that are in the same vein???

I'm gonna look for some surf.................check you later,

KILLA

Oh, yeah.........that 'howahya' thing - it's only the SECOND time I've ever heard it....................all of the other times are tied for FIRST!!! Hahahahahahahahahahahha!!!!

Because this has been ratcheting up and I helped contribute to ratcheting it up, I want to make clear that in my choice of words I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department or Sgt. Crowley specifically and I could have calibrated those words differently."

Uncle Jer sucks farts out of old car seats.

Oops. I want to make clear my choice of words there was unfortunate and if I gave the impression that I was maligning Uncle Jer in saying he sneaks into junk yards in the dead of night and slams his face into old car seats to suck out the farts, well then I could have calibrated those words differently.

Say, Uncle Jer, you feel less insulted there?

Now, I did also say if you’re going to punish somebody, punish your enemies, and I probably should have used the word, “opponents” instead of enemies.

Uncle Jer is a squeaky smelly dried pooball stuck in the butt hair of a mangy skunk.

Now I did say squeaky smelly pooball there and really, I prolly shoulda said matted fur with a little poo in it but hey, solly folks.

Feel less insulted Uncle Jer?

Yeah..............'calibrate'

Submitted by killa37 on Sat, 11/05/2011 - 6:12pm.

Yeah..............'calibrate'............or 're-calibrate'...........yeah!!! Now I remember when I heard that. It's a phrase that means 'I was being too honest, and so I'm going to have to come up with another way of saying the same thing so that it DOESN'T sound so honest'!!! Of course, it could also mean 'I was totally WRONG...........so I need to re-phrase it so it doesn't sound so WRONG'!!

you're getting into the "Limbaugh Method": I was kidding, I was dreaming, I was joking, I was tweaking the media, I was misinformed, I was misunderstood, I was right...anything but I was wrong and I apologize.

'I was wrong and I apologize'

'I was wrong and I apologize' works pretty well.....................but unfortunatly, in Boy Barry's case - he was being honest - for one of the few times in his pathetic life.

After Limbaugh, let's get the 96% of the media that foisted an incompetent, partisan, hateful, Marxist man-child on the purposely ignorant populace to apologize for helping to screw the Country.

Present obabble flipped us off many times on film. They neglected to include "Don't flip them off" on his telepraompter.

"The notion that a person campaigning for President of the United States would do something so demonstrably silly, indisputably offensive, embarrassingly adolescent, politically moronic, and so potentially destructive to his candidacy is absolutely absurd."

What's absurd is how he's taken all that and perfected it since his inauguration.
