MSNBC’s Post-GOP Debate Analysis Will Be Dominated 10-to-2 By Hostile Left Wingers
Following Wednesday’s NBC News/Politico Republican presidential debate which will last one hour and forty five minutes, MSNBC will devote more time, two hours and fifteen minutes, to a group of ten left-wing commentators – with a mere two non-liberals mixed in – to analyzing what the Republicans and conservatives said.
The far from fair and balanced line-up of those with a history of hostility toward conservatives will showcase MSNBC's prime time anchors: Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, Ed Schultz, Lawrence O’Donnell and Al Sharpton. Plus, Eugene Robinson, Howard Fineman, Michael Eric Dyson, Melissa Harris-Perry of the far-left The Nation and Huffington Post’s Alex Wagner.
Balancing those ten liberals: former RNC Chairman Michael Steele and GOP Strategist Steve Schmidt.
Why in the world did the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation agree to allow their facilities to be used by a “news” organization devoted to undermining and ridiculing the values Ronald Reagan espoused?
And so much for any pretense that having NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams and the Politico’s John Harris serving as moderators of the debate – replacing the embarrassing left-wing performance of Chris Matthews who moderated a debate at the Reagan library in 2007 – would mean any kind of a journalistically professional presentation.
From the MSNBC announcement posted by TV Newser late Thursday afternoon:
MSNBC will broadcast the GOP Presidential Candidates debate at the Reagan Library from 8-9:45p ET on Wednesday, September 7. Live analysis will follow the conclusion of the debate, beginning at 9:45p ET and continuing until midnight ET. Debate analysis will come from MSNBC’s primetime anchors including Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews from Reagan Library, Ed Schultz, Lawrence O’Donnell and Rev. Al Sharpton. MSNBC’s political analysts will also weigh in, including Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson, Fmr. RNC Chairman Michael Steele, The Nation’s Melissa Harris-Perry, Huffington Post’s Howard Fineman and Alex Wagner, Georgetown University’s Michael Eric Dyson and GOP Strategist Steve Schmidt. MSNBC will re-air the debate in its entirety as well as the post-debate analysis at midnight ET.

MSNBC would have gone under long ago. I am wondering if the combined vaccum of having them all in one room will cause the sound stage to collapse in on itself.

The other day on the Morning Schmo Show they showed a clip of Romney saying that the Libyian rebels should hand over Al Magrahi (Lockerbie bomber) to the U.S. for prosection.
When the clip ended and they were back in studio, Howard Dean started chastizing Romney for being ignorant on foreign policy for asking that Qaddafi be handed over to the U.S.
No one in studio and sitting aroung that Romper Room table bothered to correct Dean - INCLUDING MICHAEL STEELE.
Characterizing Steele as a RHINO gives him too much credit. That incident showed him to be an idiot.

This is the equivalent of The Reverend Billy Graham giving a sermon on the virtues of marriage and remaining true to one person, then having Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Monika Lewinsky, Liz Taylor, etc, etc, etc analyzing what he said. Then they could throw in oh, say Tammy Faye Baker to show how fair and balanced they are. Exactly who the hell do they think they're kidding?
I guess dat dey precluded da Reverend Al to proves dat dey ain't really again' religion.
As an aside, I would recommend dat MSNBC put da Rev's new show in da category o' comedy, cause dat shiite could win ah Emmy fo Best New Comedy Series dis year. I flipped it on last night while Fox was running an ad, and I could not turn it off. I literally was laughing my ass off! It was like a remake of one of my old favorites, Amos and Andy, except the characters on the Rev's show are real and they are dumber!!
I'm telling you, if someone at MSNBC isn't the biggest joker in TV for putting this on with a straight face, they are truly as dumb as a sack of wet fogs.

... I'm beginning to suspect that someone very high up in MSNBC programming has a really evil sense of humor. He has decided to keep putting on these absolutely ridiculous shows and hosts, while keeping a straight face with his fellow execs, just to see how long he can get away with it.
The man (I know it's not a woman because MSNBC is so biased) could be an absolute comic genius, who is really enjoying this farce until it runs out.
Of course there is always the other possibility that they all really are as dumb as Reverend Al and Maddow's kid would be.

So, lets see.
some Republicans, right wing bloggers, pundits, commentators, etc. are clamoring for Sarah Palin to make up her mind and get in the race right now... or else.
The argument being that she should be acting as stupid as the other Republican candidates and go to these idiotic clown debates and subject herself to the liberal, left wing moderators and as you highlite in this article, to the ridicule and bull crap that comes afterward.
Yes, that sure would be the "smart" and "intelligent" thing to do. Do what all the idiotic, dumb, amateurish sheeple Republican candidates are doing which is putting a big bullseye on their foreheads and smiling and saying shoot.
Well, I think Sarah is just going to continue getting her ideas out there... i.e. the speech tomorrow which will be on CSPAN, CNN, FOX, etc. while the other candidates get their buttholes stuffed by the liberals.

More than ever before, it is imperative that conservatives remain "on point" with their dialogue and not engage the left in ratcheting up the inflammatory rhetoric or in making the attacks "personal".
The issues must be hammered upon and their respective plans for addressing those issues are what must be made known to the masses. To try to wage, let alone win, a war with a bought-and-paid-for leftist media is pointless and counterproductive. Conservatives need to express themselves on solving our Nation's problems and recovering from this administration's abysmal performance instead.
Let the MRC and others continue to fight back the baseless and shameful attacks from their colleagues on the left. To GOP and Tea Party hopefuls everywhere, you MUST stay "on point" and make your message clear, concise and appealing.

Now, did you think a debate moderated by NBC/Politico...
Submitted by Conservator on Fri, 09/02/2011 - 1:53pm.
...would be fair? IMO, former RNC Chairman Steele and Republican Strategist Schmidt are regularly smeared by other moderators at MSNBC and more important, are weak when defending Republicans (Steele is the stronger of the two IMO). BTW, why is Joe Scarborough not on the panel? Can't he take a day off from 'Morning Joe' so he can stay up late to offer a more balance panel? He's certainly stronger at debating than either Steele or Schmidt.
Lastly the question was posed "why did the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation agree to allow their facilities to be used by a “news” organization devoted to undermining and ridiculing the values Ronald Reagan espoused?" - perhaps it because they allow Ron Reagan Jr. to fill-in as a host from time-to-time.
I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing...
Submitted by PJRyan on Fri, 09/02/2011 - 1:57pm.
In fact, I think it's a hell of a gamble on Democrat-wing MSNBC's part. Chrissie, Sargeant Sloppy-Fat Ed Schultz, O'Donnell and Sharpton are all fully capable of suspendable and even fireable stupidity at all times, let alone in the presence of Bachmann, Perry, et al. Even Maddow and Fineman could pop off a fireable offense when this Dream Team, circle-jerk of delusional losers tries to out-liberal one another.
The more I think about it, the more I like it. Least case (from my perspective), they act like themselves, regurgitate left-wing talking points and annoy the snot out of independents. Middling case, people who don't usually watch MSNBC see Sharpton spitting on himself and think "WTF?! That guy can't produce a single, cogent sentence and they desire credibility?!". Best case, somebody throws out something so offensive, MSNBC has to do something about it. I'll put 2 bills on Sloppy Fat as he has the track record, is demonstrably unstable, is even-more demonstrably stupid, and will be less tolerated than Sharpton. I think I'm going to throw another bill at a SloppyFat/Sharpton/Chrissie trifecta as they will be desperately trying to out-idiot one another.
