61% Realize Palin's Been 'Treated Unfairly by the Press'

MSM polls may say a majority don't consider Sarah Palin qualified to be President (60 percent according to ABC News-Washington Post), but just as many people recognize the media's unfair hostility toward her. “About six in 10 Americans (61 percent) think Palin has been treated unfairly by the press,” a Fox News-Opinion Dynamics survey released on Friday -- and highlighted on Saturday's Fox Newswatch on FNC -- discovered. That's up from 58 percent in January. Half as many, 31 percent, said she's been covered “fairly,” with 8 percent answering “don't know.”

While an overwhelming 83 percent of Republicans consider media coverage unfair toward Palin, so do a solid 65 percent majority of independents -- and even a significant minority of Democrats: 37 percent. (PDF of the Palin portion of the poll of 900 registered voters taken November 17-19. Snip below the jump of the full results for the question: “Do you think Sarah Palin has been treated fairly or unfairly by the press?”)

The poll also found that Palin is viewed more positively than Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the FoxNews.com summary pointed out:

Despite being characterized by many as a divisive force in her party and the nation, Americans are much more likely to give Palin a positive rating (47 percent favorable) than another prominent female leader -- Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (28 percent favorable).

are you serious!?

I'll concede that during the campaign the media was unfair when they went after her daughter. That was wrong and I said so at the time. But how is asking her basic foreign policy questions unfair? How is asking what newspapers she reads unfair? How is asking her to explain why Russia's proximity to Alaska gives her experience that could be useful unfair? Palin may have been a nice lady. She came across as one in public and I don't kno her so I have no reason to think she isn't. She may even have been an okay governor of Alaska (although there were allegations that she abused her power there) I don't really know as I can't say I pay much attention to alaska politics. But she was running for vice President and she didn't even know what the Fed is!! How can anyone think she was prepared to be vice President!? You people amaze me. If a Democrat ever ran for vice President who was this igonorant I would never support him\her!! There are plenty of ignorant democrats in the Massachusetts legslature, I see them all the time. If any of these morons ever joined a national ticket then you can bet I'd be all over them. There are many conservatives who admited how ignorant Palin was and I have lots of respect for those people. The rest of you are making yourselves look like fools. I'm sory but that is the sad truth.

high density misinformation

Tina Fey said "I can see Russia from my house", not Palin.

The Couric interview were Palin didn't answer? She did. They edited it out. That's why CBS kept getting the full unedited interview removed from youtube for "Copywrite reasons" - I.e. To hide the actual facts.

The allegations that she abused her power are bunk. She was exonerated by a state investigation.

She didn't know what the Fed is? Ha! That's a new lie. How about a link?

And for the record, an ignorant person did run for VP. His name is Joe Biden.

Yet you voted for BiteMe, the lunatic uncle in the attic.

O.M.O.  Yet Palin is the one who is unqualified, in your opinion.  You leftists slay me.
