Gregory Asks Clinton If 'Vast Right Wing Conspiracy' Now 'Targeting' Obama?

Imagining in 1998 a “vast right wing conspiracy” to impugn and discredit conveyors of accurate information about her husband's activities with an intern was ludicrous enough when Hillary Clinton made up the foil, but eleven-plus years later NBC's David Gregory treated it as a reality, cuing up Bill Clinton in a Meet the Press interview pre-recorded in New York City: “Your wife famously talked about the vast right wing conspiracy targeting you. As you look at this opposition on the right to President Obama, is it still there?” Former President Clinton, naturally, agreed: “Oh, you bet. Sure it is.”

Gregory also pressed Clinton to assess President Obama from a set of liberal presumptions: “Do you think the President has leveled with the American people on this fact, that Americans are going to have to pay higher taxes if they want health care reform?” And, recalling how “in 1996 you declared the era of big government over,” but now “the era of big government being over appears to be over in and of itself, whether it's the stimulus, whether it's bailouts, financial regulation or this issue of health care,” Gregory wondered: “Do you think the President's done a good enough job selling government as the solution?”

From the Sunday, September 27 Meet the Press:

DAVID GREGORY: Let's talk about some of the big challenges back home for President Obama. And on health care, as this debate rolls through, you remember it well, do you think the President has leveled with the American people on this fact, that Americans are going to have to pay higher taxes if they want health care reform?...

But let me ask you a broader question. In 1996 you declared the era of big government over.  Well, the era of big government being over appears to be over in and of itself, whether it's the stimulus, whether it's bailouts, financial regulation or this issue of health care. Do you think the President's done a good enough job selling government as the solution?...

Your wife famously talked about the vast right wing conspiracy targeting you. As you look at this opposition on the right to President Obama, is it still there?

BILL CLINTON: Oh, you bet. Sure it is. It's not as strong as it was, because America's changed demographically, but it's as virulent as it was. I mean, they're saying things about him – you know, it's like when they accused me of murder and all that stuff they did. But it's not really good for the Republicans and the country, what's going on now....

Same Vomit As Always

Slick Willie is as revolting as he ever was. Don't discuss the issues, Slick Willie, just talk about conspiracies. Talk about alleged bad behavior and yada yada. It isn't the "right wing" that's rejecting Obama, Slick Willie, it's intelligent, informed people who don't want to live in a Marxist state.

Ram, that was brilliant in

Ram, that was brilliant in its very simplicity.  This has been said in one form or another for months, but the way you put it makes for a good summation.

People, THIS is the talking point when conversing with your liberal "friends."

This From The ......

This from the Internaphile! Lets see, I won't raise your taxes, I didn't inhale, I didn't have sex with that women, and it depends what the definition of what "is, is!" Yep, America! A couple years back you said you found the Demo crats to be more trustworthy than the Republicans! may I pour you another glass of Kool-Aid?

I did not have sex with that woman

I watched the video of this on HotAir and I kinda puked in my mouth a little- so I'm glad the video isn't linked here. He talks about how "we need an honest debate" on stimulus, on health care, and of course blames republicans for not bringing that debate to the forefront. I understand that he's a Dem, and he sees his side as having the right prescription, but he's intellectually dishonest (I know, Clinton, right?) about who's unwilling to debate. They say elections have consequences, and maybe the right to say "we won, go away" is one of them, but if that's the case, don't complain about "debate."

VRWC ??

Someone correct me if I'm wrong please, but Hillary Clinton, then 1st Lady, dreamed up the term "vast right wing conspiracy" prior to the date that she has admitted to finding out that her husband, Pres. Clinton, had indeed been lying to her (and the entire country) about his affair with a very young unpaid intern in the White House in the confines of the highest office of the land - the people's house.

Hillary's fabrication of that phrase, was because she thought that the Republicans were making up the story of her tramp husband's infidelity. Subsequently to that, she discovered, she claimed, that he had been lying to her (and us).

The MSM should have never allowed the moniker, vast right wing conspiracy, to be applied to anything regarding Bill Clinton from that time forward. It had thoroughly been discredited.

The only conspiracy here is that the vast left wing mainstream media has not only not put it to bed, but that they continue to conspire to keep it alive.

Simply shameful.

And what do we hear of the vast left wing conspiracy?

(:~/ gary

Well, I've ben trying to

Well, I've ben trying to join the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" since she brought it up.  Can't seem to find it anywhere...

trying to join the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy"

...we still exist, Hillary herself defined it with the following criteria:

  • Evangelical Christian (ya know those wacko ones still trying to help save people from hell)

  • Homeschooling Parent - 6 kids myself ( the unedukated parents thunking theys can dos a beter job than the guvmnt skuuls, especially them big  family ones wit da huge carboni feetprints)
  • Attend Church Regularly ( see number #1, 'cause that's where they get their ideas)
  • Support the Second Amendment ( can't let the poeple be armed, just might think about fighting them commies if they get too much power)

...if you qualify for any of the above, you're in...all four you are a black belt (but keep I eye our for black SUV's and black helecopters)

Yes your correct Gary

It was around the time of Monica, I specifically remember Hillary was dressed pretty in pink and sitting under a painting of Abe Lincoln when she was blathering about the rwc and frogs on fence posts.

I think this time Bill Clinton would have been a lot more convincing if he had also dressed in pink.

wolfiemainic... pretty in pink?

Well, best I could do on short notice:

Bill, Pretty in Pink

Would that there were such

Would that there were such a thing. It's funny how anyone who claims the media is in cahoots with liberal politicians, or suggests that Obama may not be a natural born citizen is a conspiracy nut, yet these elitists can claim some "vast right wing conspiracy" is in action.

This is another instance of a lib pointing their finger at the "right" while there are three fingers pointing back at them.

Exactly... there IS a vast

Exactly... there IS a vast left wing conspiracy: most of the big media, Hollywood, many schools and universities, government agencies... and ???

Seems like only yesterday

Seems like only yesterday Bill was accusing the Obama campaign of playing the race card.

Conspiracy Theory

Everything's a conspiracy to the Liberals.  This is because they are, by far and large, paranoid schizophrenics and they see conspiracy every where they look.. Of course, it doesn't help their mental condition that they spend YEARS developing "plans" and issuing "action calls" in order to defeat their political enemies, as we've witnessed since the days of Nixon.  Nixon had NOTHING to compare with the Liberals when it came to creating enemy lists and acting on them.

Unless you're a fetus.

Re Liberal Plans

But see, when it's liberal you can't call it a 'vast conspiracy', then it's a 'grassroots movement of concerned citizens'. It's all in the spin.

Murder?

'' . . . you know, it's like when they accused me of murder and all that stuff they did.''

And all the stuff ''they'' did?  Who accused Bill Clinton, personally, of commiting murder?  Did Bill Clinton, president of the United States commit MURDER.  Really??

Hyperbole.  Probably along with the ''Vast Conspiracy'' projection that BJ laddled on real thick.

I am so sick and tired

of hearing the right attacks us the left attacks us.  when are our political representatives going to figure it out.  We didn't vote for you to push your own agenda and get rich.  we voted for you to represent us and protect us from the very thing your are all allowing to take place in our country.

We need to free our country from the grip of these corporate mongering money grubbing congress and house psycophants and put people in office that really care about all the people not just themselves.

The right people in and we could lower taxes supply SS and medicare and supply poor people with health coverage without breaking the nation.  We could even help people get affordable housing.  Not the freddy fanny way but the right way getting them what they can afford with no hand outs.

no bail outs for companies. and as far as Unions the country regulates enough to protect employees no need for the syndicate to be involved.  We can also protect Doctors from malpractice suits and lower their charges as well.  all of this and more can be done.  but we need to scrap the current admin and policies passed by past admins.

put some people who will get the work done with no self interest.  any special interest group starts to offer can tag em and bag em.  it's time for real change we can believe in and it is not socialistic change either.  It is about being a good Samaritan not asking what your country can do for your but what you can do to help you country rise above this current nonsense. and become the shinning light it once was.

but again if this is about fulfilling scripture to prepare for the coming antichrist and shifting the economical power back to the old Roman empire which is the EU)then there is absolutely nothing we can do.

Gregory wondered: “Do you think the President's done a good enough job selling government as the solution?” What a joke!!

Thats The Key Word!

Thats the key word Gregory, SELL! As I've said before, Obama is a combination snake oil and used car salesman!

Selling

Didja ever notice that when the Democrats fail at bringing about their agenda, they mostly say: "We didn't do a good enough job of selling (such and such). We didn't explain it well enough."

Fact is, they DID explain it well enough and the electorate wasn't buying what they were selling.

Sell, Sell, Sell

A good product sells itself.  Why do you think we have to have campaigns to sell the electorate on bad candidates?

HILLARY CLINTON QUOTE (4/29/2003 Connecticut Fundraiser):

"I'm sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration,  somehow you're NOT PATRIOTIC. We need to STAND UP and say we're Americans, and we have the RIGHT TO DEBATE and DISAGREE with ANY administration."

My signature is proven true...

time and time again. When God is removed as the infinite absolute authority, men have to find someone or something else to lead them.

When the moral consciousness of a nation is ignored in the hearts of its people, men become devoid of a moral direction.

Men will either be driven by an excessive lust for pleasure or an excessive lust for power. Absolute power in the hands of men is a dangerous weapon. The one who is able to snatch it and keep it, wins.

Darwin himself predicted this slippery slope of violence if evolutionary theory were translated into a philosophy of life. Nietzche talked of the enshrouding darkness that had fallen over mankind - he saw its ramifications. The Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevski repeatedly wrote of the hell that is let loose when man comes adrift from his Creators moorings and himself becomes god--he understood the consequences. Now, as proof positive, we witness our culture as a whole in a mindless drift toward lawlessness - we live with the inexorable result of autonomies in collision.

"I freed Germany from the stupid and degrading fallacies of conscience
and morality.... We will train young people before whom the world will
tremble. I want young people capable of violence--imperious, relentless
and cruel." - Hitler

“Do you think the President's done a good enough job selling government as the solution?” - NBC's David Gregory

We are not just creating a system where government becomes our surrogate. We're creating a system where government will become our master.

How can Willie be sure if this meets the standard of a vrwc until Larry King interviews Monica and Hillary and we hear there opinion. L.K. should be be able to do 10 or more shows on this topic.
