Television network journalists on Friday night marveled at President Barack Obama's planned “media blitz” for health care reform even as they, the enablers, reveled in it as they made the very “blitz” and clips from the interviews (conducted Friday afternoon for airing on Sunday morning) their top story of the day. Based on those excerpts, the Sunday hosts were most interested in getting Obama's take on the “tone” of the health care debate (Obama blamed cable TV and blogs) and whether opposition is driven by racism. The teases:
♦ ABC's Charles Gibson at the top of World News: “Tonight, mass media. The President launches another media blitz on health care, and addresses whether race might be behind some of the criticisms of his plan.” (Gibson led by admiring: “On five, count them, five Sunday morning talk shows the guest will be Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama and Obama. That's never been done before...”)♦ CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric: “Tonight, from Sunday morning to Monday night, the President's TV blitz for health care reform.”
♦ Brian Williams at the start of the NBC Nightly News: “On our broadcast tonight, an extraordinary media blitz by the President and now the First Lady steps in and tonight our own David Gregory asks the President directly about race and President Carter's charges.”
CBS's Chip Reid acknowledged that “even some objective political analysts say so much Obama may be too much Obama,” but “the White House says it's full speed ahead. The President is by far their best salesman, they say, and they learned a lesson in August: When the President goes silent, angry critics fill the void.” In a clip CBS played, Obama blamed that anger on “the 24-hour news cycle and cable television and blogs and all this, they focus on the most extreme elements on both sides.”
In addition to the interviews with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, CBS's Bob Schieffer and NBC's David Gregory, Obama sat down with CNN's John King for his State of the Union show. King popped up at the beginning of the 6 PM EDT hour of The Situation Room to relay how he raised the same topic as the other hosts: “Sir, do you see this as racism?” (On Monday, Obama will appear on CBS's Late Show with David Letterman.)

It is a presidential media blitz. Today it was joined by the First Lady and as part of this media strategy, the President was interviewed by moderator of Meet the Press, David Gregory, for this Sunday's broadcast. David asked him about the much-talked about topic this past week.
That would be Jimmy Carter's allegation protesters are motivated by racism.

And two- regarding the racism charge. According to Rasmussen, on Sept 1st, the country was 37.3% Dem and 32.6% GOP. That leaves (if my calculator works) 30.1% unaffiliated. Also according to Rasmussen, as of today, 56% of likely voters oppose ObamaCare, and 43% support. (That, by the way is quite telling since there seems to be only 1% unsure.) What this means is that assuming the Dems are for the plan en masse, and the GOP opposes -also en masse- than it's the unaffiliated voters that, just like in every election, make up the deciding numbers. In this case, of the 43% of the country that supports this crap sandwich, only 5.7% are Indies, and of the 56% against, 23.4% are Indies. Another way of looking at this would be that 23.4% of the 30.1% of Independent Americans -a whopping 78%- are racist.
We've got a long way to go on race relations. Maybe this is how Bill Cosby came to his conclusions.

The effect this is happening on the Black population I don't know but the fact that you don't hear from Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson supporting that claim may be an indication of the effect it is having.
The effect it is beginning to have on the general population is stronger resentment and reversing racial progress. Average white people who strongly disagree with Obama on his socialist policies are the most resentful and are reshaping the old Silent Majority (although not so slient).

Obama ALLOWED, with calculated deliberation, the insanity to ratchet up and up and up and up, and now... he'll do the thug walk he does onto the liberal stages this Sunday to behave as the left expects - and hopes for...
He'll be "THE MESSIAH" - THEIR Messiah
He'll hold his hand out, gently tap it on the air, and nod his head and urge in a quiet voice for people to calm down.
He'll intimate, infer, or blatantly state the Conservatives (9/12ers TEA Partiers) are irrational people filled with hate and violence, but we have to learn to "understand" them. Tolerate them. That he's suffered at the hands of conservative bigots all his priviledged life (except those years he was sleeping in streets because all his money was spend on cocaine (and what else?)).
This entire past week, filled with accusations only from the Democratic leadership and the fringe media, of "opposition" racism, was planned the moment the ACORN tapes were revealed.
The whole enchilada.
Obama/Emanuel/Axelrod/Michelle saw the perfect opportunity to use the ACORN tapes to a racist advantage. Too bad they, AGAIN, underestimated the intelligence of the American people, thinking them too stupid to even have a clue, and the whole thing backfired. HEADLINE: Senate votes to defund ACORN.
Say it was all based on RACISM! That's the ticket! Yeah. Yeah. That's why the conservatives chose to expose ACORN. They know Obama worked for them, attorney'd for them, trained them, taught them, marched with them, threatened banks with them, strong armed mortgage compaies with them. Obama IS ACORN. It's racist!
Uh huh. Sure. Not to mention a front so people can learn how to evade taxes, run brothels, run a child sex trade, import illegal children for use in sex trade.
THAT'S why Obama will not go on FOX News Sunday. He KNOWS the questions he'd be receiving from Chris Wallace, liberal as Chris Wallace is, would be the toughest and for which he would have no RATIONAL reply the intelligent and coherent viewers of Fox News would ever accept. Fox News viewers know how the Obfuscator-in-Chief operates. They've seen too many of his radical and revolutionary videos where he states, plainly, how he will run things when in power. It ain't pretty.
Gotta keep the false accusations of racism drum pounding away. Gotta keep that distraction alive. Only two weeks left for federal funding to kick in and take effect in 2010. It's almost October! The Final Plan (complete power grab) must be achieved!

And isn't it funny that Bush's "swagger" was considered evidence of his smart-ass conceit and overconfidence in his own abilities, while The First One's "swagga" is proof of how comfortable and (not over-)confident he is in his power?

September 19, 2009 - 22:51 ET by pbthinkerHave you ever been made an example of? I have. Sometimes it works for the people that watched. In this case, all the networks, with the exception of Fox, will get Obama. They know if they criticize, like Fox, they could be next, so they'll tow the mark.
The problem for the networks is, people are watching them to get the news and answers to the many questions about health care. They've heard Obama spout the platitudes of his (?) plan and they have questions that aren't being answered. Will anyone of the network shows ask the questions and do the follow-ups necessary? They haven't so far.
Election 2008-God's way of showing us that elections count.

Usually, Friday nights are our escape time.. we get to pop some corn, maybe imbibe a little (means to drink for you Obama era kids), and watch a good movie that provides an escape, a diversion from reality...but it looks like Sunday morning is OUR day!
