Time magazine's online staff certainly undermined any notion of impartiality in how they littered the posted version of this week's cover story, “Inside Bush and Cheney's Final Days,” with the links they chose to display between paragraphs and at page breaks of the article. Some were innocuous, such as “See TIME's George W. Bush covers,” “See TIME's politics covers” and “See pictures of presidential First Dogs.”

Others, however, reflected hostility and/or derision toward the two key players in the story, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, starting with “Visit RottenTomatoes.com for reviews of W., Oliver Stone's 2008 portrait of George W. Bush” and “Read 'Leahy's Plan to Probe Bush-Era Wrongdoings.'”

Plus, “See the top 10 George W. Bush YouTube moments.” The #1 video on the linked page: “Shoes Thrown at George W. Bush in Iraq.” Amongst the 15 highlighted in See America's worst Vice Presidents,” no surprise: “Richard B. Cheney.” The “See the top 10 unfortunate political one-liners” link goes to a collection which includes George H.W. Bush's pledge to not raise taxes: “Read my lips: no new taxes.”

I wonder if the film is to be transferred into fact.  Sometime in teh future it will be treated as fact and teh uninitiated will be none the wiser.  "I can see Russia from my house"

Amazing!

It is truly amazing how enamoured Time is with Bush/Cheney. They love them to much. Will they ever get over whatever drives this fixation? I find it telling that the very last words on the page linked to in the posting is "Rove was not indicted". Wow. Hey Time, I wasn't either!

Time magazine is not even

Time magazine is not even worthy of use in an outhouse.

But I will say that the editors office probably does have a crescent moon & star on the door.

Hey, Time: It's OVER.  Your

Hey, Time: It's OVER.  Your Messiah is failing miserably.  Cover HIM in the reality that it is.  When you go back in time to George Bush, even my pets know that you're showing your biases.  I was tempted to vandalize your magazine when I saw it at Barnes & Noble.  Then I noticed no one is paying attention to your magazine anymore, so what would be the point.

Re vandalize

I don't vandalize Newsweak and Time (for another Obama cover) in stores; if there is a big pile of them on the bottom, I lay a few issues of another magazine over them. If they are up higher in the slots, I lay them sideways and put them behind another magazine. They might not be found for days if you do that.

Strange that Leahy's had two

Strange that Leahy's had two years or more to investigate those supposed Bushitlerhallibutoncheney crimes and wrongdoings but hasn't had a single hearing or report. Inquiring minds might want to know about such laxity in oversight on such an 'important' issue.
