Normally I wouldn't find a local market television reporter joining a gubernatorial campaign worth a post on a national blog like NewsBusters, but in this case the candidate is a very well-known national figure: Terry McAuliffe, the former Chairman of the Democratic National Committee who also chaired Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign last year and is a long-time Friend of Bill.
Dave Hughes reported Monday, on his DCRTV blog, that Allyson Wilson, a reporter and sometime anchor on Washington, DC's Fox-owned WTTG-TV/DT, “is leaving to join Democrat Terry McAuliffe's campaign for governor of Virginia. She'll be his deputy press secretary. Wilson is a native Washingtonian and a graduate of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts.”
McAuliffe is one of three Democrats vying to win the June 9 Democratic primary to face Republican Bob McDonnell (a former state Attorney General) in November. Virginia's gubernatorial elections are in odd years every four years and governors cannot run for re-election, so current Governor Tim Kaine, who is now also running the DNC, will not be on the ballot.

This scum bag is actually from Syracuse, New York. He is a crook. He, personally, was instrumental in engineering government approval for the reverse merger of Frontier Telephone Co. and its national fiber network into the smaller, but politically active, Global Crossing. He personally profited from this to the tune of $17.5 Million dollars. Global Crossing was, until Enron, the largest financial fiasco in US history. Thusands of small investors, employees and pensioners saw their life savings wiped out by these crooks.
Terry McAuliffe doesn't belong in Virginia's Governor's Mansion. He belongs in a Federal Penitentiary alongside Andrew Fastow and Jeffery Skilling.

Virginia gubernatorial races are pretty much determined by heavily populated and very liberal Northern Virginia. That's how the pro-abortion, pro-gun control Doug Wilder got elected.Doug btw, said he had no interest in a higher office. His first year as governor was spent running for president. But every once in a while we elect a Republican, like pro-concealed carry George Allen.
I'm trying to swear off voting Republican, but everytime I do,, the democrats go and put up another Beelzebub. McAuliffe will bring Clinton style politics to Virginia.

To put things in perspective, I can remember passing through Tyson's Corners many, many years ago. At the time, Leesburg Pike was a two lane macadam highway and Chainbridge Rd was a dirt road. The intersection was regulated by two stop signs on Chainbridge. Visit there today. What do you see?
