Lara, if things are going so badly there, then why aren't any of the logistical bases that I can very well get sent to not getting overrun???  If things were going that badly there, then why aren't our logistical bases well outside the country? 

It is VERY VERY SIMPLE if you stop and try to think like a soldier/sailor/Airman/Marine.  And, if you somehow can't (more than likely it is a matter of won't and refuse to), perhaps your friendly military members can explain it to you.

I think that Sanchez has tried to report on the incompetent reporting of the media throughout this war but the media will not report on his words about that, only his words that are anti-Bush Administration.

How would this idiot like it if someone said that not enough reporters have died in the war. Maybe if more reporters had died they would be more serious about their war reports. Sad, incompetent, anti-American. Journalists were not always like this.

The really good news is that my young friend, Sam, is safely back from Iraq I learned from his Mom yesterday. Why do these idiot leftists always try to twist the situation into a sound bite, and then use this to justify their position? Don't they ever learn how to paint a full picture, rather than one single frame that they seem to think best suits them?

This entire quote, beginning with We're doing extremely badly (she just loves those 'ly' adjectives), is just so horribly anti-American, and defeatist.  She was asked if she felt any guilt for the fact that blah, blah, blah..  Guilt????  If she wants to feel guilty, she should go hide in a closet and feel guilty.  We were not wrong to go to war, and we don't have any reason to feel guilty for doing so.  It is ugly and morbid for her to speak of the bodies of our heroic men and women who paid the ultimate price in this fight to preserve our freedoms. What does she really mean here?  Is she saying that she has seen dead American soldiers, on the battlefield?  Or is she speaking of the flag-drapped coffins? The sick truth here is that she is in favor of anything that will demoralize the homefront to the war effort.

It's hard to believe that Logan is arguing, with a straight face, that Americans aren't being told of the real cost of the war. We are, to the contrary, bombarded with it. Every media bulb and Democrat repeats the mantra over and over. Lou Dobbs gives us a death count on every broadcast.

However, if you want to want to display the horror of what a dead soldier looks like, fine. If you want to exploit their deaths, fine. If you want to play to the emotions of the crowd and think you're courageous, fine. But if you do that, be honest, then also show the other parts of that equation. Show the terrorists who are doing the killing you're so horrified by. Show them dancing over the body. Show the terrorists kidnapping and killing families. Show the terrorists slitting throats. Soldiers don't just show up dead. Someone is killing them. If you want to broadcast images of our dead soldiers, it's because you want to evoke (and exploit) our grief for the dead. But then you owe it to those soldiers to broadcast who they're fighting.

The military honors these soldiers, and prevents the media from exploiting their deaths as sensationalism to sell newspapers. But even if the military didn't prevent these images, the media wouldn't have the courage to display the whole picture. If the media did that, they'd see the outrage of the public against the terrorists. Instead of exploiting the grief, the media would unleash the country's determination to defeat those bastards. Lightweights like Logan pretend that if they only showed the images, the public would retreat in grief. But the fact is that media hides the other parts of the equation -- and they know it. The public would demand full force to destroy the cowards who are killing our soldiers. That's what the media doesn't want to unleash.

Gawd! This woman is, like, sheer military brilliance and, like, diplomatic genius!  Like, look out, Hillary!  She, like, just might have a healthcare plan that could, like, make yours look, like, `so-o-o 1990s' ... Like, duh !!!

My thesis, that there are no reporters anymore (a general statement - there may be a few, see Mark Finkelstein & others here and elsewhere) and her own words prove it - " . Nobody knows what that looks like and I've seen plenty of it. " - IF, this "reporter" were to do her job, then WE would see these pictures. Why is she NOT reporting this, if what she says is true? Could it be that she's not telling the truth, or that the truth DOESN'T fit the agenda??

More proof? - " . .if you still have a government that's sectarian in nature, if you still have an army that's corrupt, infiltrated by militias, . ." Aren't these the same people who complained that we DIDN'T include the OLD military and sectarian govenment in our plans? If you're going to follow the agenda, at least be consistent!

Back to my first point - she, and others are COWARDS! - if what they say is happening, then why aren't they reporting it? To me, very simple, today's reporters are cowards, in the least, and traitors to reporting/journalism, as well as the the rest of us citizens. An indictment? YES, if not true, PROVE me wrong.

Lara Logan can't understand why we aren't seeing more pictures of dead American soldiers?  Isn't she a part of the same MSM that refuses to air footage of the planes hitting the World Trade Center because it's just too polarizing?  P.T.
