MSNBC's O'Donnell Spins: Obama is 'the Really Big Winner' in Wisconsin
On Tuesday's The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell, MSNBC host O'Donnell teased his show by asserting that President Obama is "the really big winner" in Wisconsin because of exit polls showing that, in spite of Republican Governor Scott Walker's win, a majority of those who voted preferred President Obama over GOP candidate Mitt Romney in the presidential race. O'Donnell:
Tonight, the really big winner in the Wisconsin recall election is President Obama.
Without noting the caveat that a significant number of voters typically do not make up their minds which candidate they will vote for until the days leading up to an election - in this case a presidential election that is still five months away - O'Donnell a bit later brought up the poll numbers in Obama's favor with guest Jon Heilemann of New York magazine. O'Donnell:
I said at the top of the show that President Obama was the big winner tonight because, in the exit polls, we saw today that they were asked "who would you vote for for President today?" Fifty-three percent in Wisconsin, 53 percent say "President Obama." Only 42 percent say Mitt Romney. That is, if not the recall outcome, that outcome for President Obama has to be very encouraging.
In the same segment, guest and MSNBC host Rachel Maddow also notably portrayed Republican Governor Scott Walker's conservative agenda as "radical" as she fretted that he would press ahead as Wisconsin governor emboldened by the recall and favorable reaction from other Republicans. Maddow: "That's every incentive for him to continue to be as radical as he's been and more.

Morning Joe is celbrating the o'bama poll, and bringing it up every chance they get. Chuck Todd is in full a$$-kissing mode. "o'bama's going to win - the exit polls point out that WI voters trust o'bama's handling of the economy over Romney". Dream on, liberals. o'bama's 40-straight months of 8% + unemployment rate is NOT going to lead to victory.

But wait! Didn't the exit polls also say it would be a "very tight race" within just a couple of percentage point? So if that turned out to be wrong big time, then wouldn't the OB numbers showing he would "win" also be wrong? Can't have it both ways LSM.

Leave it to an MSNBC clown act to declare the "big winner" to be a politician who wasn't even running in Wisconsin, and whose Party took a shellacking, and base it on the same exit polling that projected a close recall outcome.
The Democratic Party and its labor union henchmen just totalled the family car, and O'Donnell, Howard Dean, and others are trying to find undamaged parts of the car so they can deny that an accident occurred.
If the Dem strategists believe this nonsense when they are behind closed doors, they are truly doomed -- and that's a good thing.

Their exit polls were garbage because they apparently over-sampled democtrats or union members or both.
When the exit polls are off by more than the margin of error, you really have to question the polls.
As soon as spinmeister O'Donnell came on last night (I was watching for a short time just for fun) he went right to a graphic that showed Walker's spending and the "Other" GOP spending (including the evil Koch brother's) spent WAY more than poor old Barrett and the "other" democrat spending.
Then they went right to Maddow who tried to say that Obama was the big winner because of the flawed exit polls which were obviously worthless.

Obama, because he carried Wisconsin by what, 14 points in 2008? So his popularity is seriously on the downward trajectory and likely to continue that way in Wisconsin.

What do they think that some union member who voted for Walker is going to say when the union thugs are hanging around just waiting to see who the "defectors" are.
Hell yeah, they say they'll vote for Obama. They don't want to walk with a permanent limp, or not walk at all the rest of their lives.
I cannot imagine having to live in a state of fear like the union members in most states have to live in.

Last night after my 12 yr. old daughter and myself were watching the Walker victory, I told her “lets see how in the world MSNBC is gonna spin this”. Mr. O'Donnell must have had a double dose of the Kool-Aid or was under serious medication to be able to say that with a straight face.
The MSNBC Public Relations firm must have a very good training program to achieve this level robotic response from so little natural intelligence. I cannot believe even the public relations firm of MSNBC can think that this will be a winnig point for their client Mr. Obama. Everyone will plainly see this for what it is a very poor attempt to reduce the political damage to their client. A major push by them and the other propaganda media networks maybe able to distract the attention but I do not believe they will be able to mitagate it.

Mika on Morning Joe is beside herself this morning. Lots of reasons. (1) Because Walker "edged" out a victory, according to her. (2) Because Clinton is for keeping Bush's tax cuts (she rolls her eyes). And (3) because Congress rejected the Equal Pay law. As for this latter, she said she's furious. "How could anyone reject Equal Pay" she asks. Of course she would ask that -- heck, she's for unions, she's "progressive", and now she's furious that employers simply don't provide the same paycheck for women -- even when the woman takes years off to raise kids, won't travel, won't work overtime, and is much less experienced. Her little progressive monkey-shite-for-brains mind simply can't get around the "no-gimme" approach of private industry. How unfair!

There are already laws on the books regarding equal pay. If the democrats really believe in equal pay why do so many of them including Nancy Pelosi and the Obama White House pay women less then they pay men?

You just know that the Wisconsinites who vote to affirm their faith in the policies of Walker that have stabilized their states budget and lowered their unemployment prefer the opposite when it comes to the national level. The idea that the people of Wisconsin are a little schizzo in their politics is not believable.
The polls that showed obama with a big lead over Romney were also showing a dead heat between Walker and Barrette so it was off by 10 percent. The media is trumpeting this false number but the Whitehouse has to be in panic this morning.

This just in: Obama Wins the Wisconsin Recall election!
Bulletin! Bulletin! Bulletin!
The results are in. Obama annihilates Romney in the Wisconsin Recall election! This is a large victory for Obama, as the 10 electoral votes which Wisconsin holds may be the difference between Obama holding on his seat and Romney becoming the 45th President. Obama, attending a fund raiser in the neighboring state of Minnesota, is quoted as saying "It's good to see that we don't actually need to hold the general election in Wisconsin this year. Vice President Biden was beginning to wonder about our chances in that backwater, racist, extremely conservative state. The People have spoken. There's no need for them to speak again in November."
Romney, who many people believe will initiate an expensive, unnecessary, and unpatriotic time consuming recount of the exit poll results, which shows an undeniable victory for Obama, was unavailable for comment.

And MSNBC is the most watched cable news outlet - give me a break.
BTW, the "exit poll" that O'Donnell referred to was flawed, thus any analysis conducted on that data must also be flawed.
Initially, CNN and other cable outlets announced BASED on exit polls, the recall election of Walker versus Barrett was to close to CALL. Yet, Walker won by nearly 7 points. Therefore, President Obama's so-called lead over Mitt Romney in an electorate that was voting for Scott Walker is nothing but folly and progressive intransigence on the results of the recall election - they lost and are now spinning, moaning and whining. Get use to it progressives, Obama is toast.

Only a childish liberal (redundant?) could possibly think like this.
By the way--this special recall election, demanded by union thugs at the cost of millions, will be paid for, as always, by the taxpayers.
I presume the taxpayers of Wisconsin will be sending a bill soon to these lavishly loaded union chiefs.

What spin. Their guy lost and they have to find something to keep it going so they come up with exit polling for an election that's 5 months away. "Obama was the big winner(pant, pant, pant)for exit polls showed he was favored(pant, pant, pant)with numbers of 53%(pant, pant, pant, pant, pant, pant, pant).
Well Larry, I mean Lawrence, in 2008 Obama won with over 56% of the vote. Looks like it's tightening up, hmm?
Put some spin on that? Thanks in advance.

...That would be OBAMA...
It's so endearing watching moribund segments of the Obamedia spinning & gyrating this outcome into a neutral to harmless event on the road to "DearLeader" Obama's re-election.
The fact remains that as a nominee to office of POTUS Obama stood up in front of these Union groups and claimed he was all about SEIU...All about Public Service unions. If needed he would BE THERE--In his Walking Shoes standing side-by-side with his union brothers; no mention of checking the "political weather" first
Obama's calculated abandonment & Twitter driven Leadership from beyond Wi. State lines was as cowardly as it's was calculated
