Martin Short Hits 'Crazy Catholic' Santorum, 'Taliban'-like Bachmann, and Other Republicans
Appearing as a guest on Monday's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on NBC, actor and comedian Martin Short lambasted several of the GOP presidential candidates, as he called Rick Santorum a "crazy Catholic," compared Michele Bachmann to the Taliban while questioning her intelligence, and suggested that Mitt Romney has sent jobs to other countries.
He also referred back to the 2008 presidential election and labeled Sarah Palin as a running mate "who had never met a black man."
#From the Monday, June 4, The Tonight Show on NBC:
"I mean, 2008 was the most exciting. I mean, the Democrats had a, first time, a black man at the top of the ticket, and the Republicans had a vice presidential choice, a woman who had never met a black man."
"Canadians don't really like him (Romney) so much because he hasn't shipped that many jobs to our country like he has to others."
"I find it fascinating, though, for a party that seems to fear gays as much as they do, that now the Republicans have fallen head over heels for a big stiff one. ... I mean, this guy, he's white. You know, Charlie Sheen tried to snort him."
"You know, I'm Catholic - well, Hollywood Catholic. You know, we're looking for a God-type. But Rick Santorum is a crazy Catholic. Even Mel Gibson's father thinks he's nuts. Every time he won a primary, a puff of white smoke would go up. It's just insane."
"I always feel that the only difference between Michele Bachmann and the Taliban is the Taliban don't marry their beards. ... And she was not bright enough to be President, don't you agree? She thinks 'soy milk' is Spanish for 'I am milk.' This is not someone who should be, she's just not, hey, I did some writin' for this show."

It's really grating on the nerves when Hollywood types accuse other people as being uneducated or dumb because that is how I see them.

Did you hear about the Inquisition-like persecution of writer Mark Steyn, here in America, because of a book he wrote? He had some less than respectful opinions about aspects of Islam and Sharia Law. It was deemed to be hate speech of a sort.
Oh, that's right. You didn't hear about it here because it happened in the Taliban-like country of Canada, the country of your birth. Granted, America isn't far from that now thanks to liberals like yourself that hate any idea that disagrees with your own.

Talentless, sophomoric, inane "comedian heard from...again, a prime example of a hobereau. A class of folks known to put on airs and aspire to a station culturally, educationally and certainly behaviorally to which they are incapable and inept. As with others of his kind, he suffers from elitist arrogance...a veritable legend in his mind. But, why does Newbusters give any credence, space, time to what such as he have to say??? So such as I can vent a tad??!!

Let’s measure the corruption of our broadcasting networks
Submitted by needle on Tue, 06/05/2012 - 9:16am.
Martin Short is a typical vulgar Liberal appearing on a DNC network that practically specialized in spewing vulgarity.
It occurs to me that one thing that media monitors could do would be to calculate for one day a month a vulgarity score for the shows on the broadcast networks, counting appropriate points for various profane and vulgar words and sexual innuendoes and gestures.
I for one would be interested in knowing how the various DNC network compare among themselves and FOX.
Furthermore this would serve to highlight the corruption of our broadcasting network in general.

Martin Short-on-brains is lucky his home country only considers PRO-Christian comments "hate speech" right now.
I don't know, though, he might be in trouble for implying that being "Taliban" is a bad thing......

"Hollywood Catholic"
Submitted by c5then on Tue, 06/05/2012 - 9:24am.
Placing "Hollywood" in front of anything means to negate it, or rather to be hypocritical. It comes from Hollywood being the home to the very best fakes there are.
For instance a "Hollywood liberal" is one who espouces the liberal ideaology of higher taxes and taking care of the less fortunate and being "charitable" to others, while actually hiring lawyers and accountants to get out of as much taxes as possible, changing your residence to avoid taxes as well as "regular" people and only associating with a charity if it can be used for your own publicity.
So I am sure that Martin Short is a very good Hollywood Catholic. I can tell because except for his statement as such, I would never have known that he practiced any religion at all.

Short's career in death throes

On their fade to relative obscurity, celebrity liberals just can't help alienating 50% of their potential audience. It's in their DNA. Short's career has been in its death throes for quite some time. It's agonizing to watch. Now, if Short's comments were actually funny...

He had a few good fluff pieces back in the day, like "Inner Space" with Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, and some spotty roles here and there, but his big association lately is as the Cat in the Hat on the PBS specials. Mrs. Sam and I saw him in a road company rendition of "The Producers" years ago. He is like so many patients that I have who aspire to be a big name, but simply lack the talent and initiative to do it yet still crave the attention and act is if they are A-list. He's not A-list and never will be. He's an "also ran" and shows all of the signs of the cluster B attention-seeking that is now genetically required of Hollyweirdos and wannabes.
Nobody is stopping him from moving back to Canada to be a third-rate McKenzie brother knockoff on late-night Calgary public access.

True story-I knew of a person who saw him in public some years ago. He called out to him "Hey Martin" and he said the guy was such a dick that he scurried away, wouldnt even acknowledge him, and was very abrupt with this fan. Heard a similiar story about a year ago on the radio, when some other fan saw him on the street, and he did the same. With a career that went nowhere fast, he should embrace all the fans he can get! Railing aagainst Republicans on Liberal Jays' show doesnt help him, either!
I used to watch Leno constantly, and he'd goad each guest to rip into any GOPer who was in the news, or even wasnt anymore. Cant believe I wasted so much time watching this "comedy " talk show!
