WashPost's King Charges GOP and FNC Painted Obama as 'Devil Incarnate,' Warns of 'Nastiness' from 'the Limbaughs'
On Friday's Inside Washington on PBS, regular panel member and liberal Washington Post columnist Colby King charged that Republicans and Fox News have "painted Barack Obama as the devil incarnate," and warned that, during this campaign year, "The nastiness is going to come out. The Limbaughs are just going to let it all hang out."
But he predicted that "if there's a feeling that" President Obama "is being treated unfairly, there's a feeling they are trying to get rid of, take Michelle Obama and those nice two cute kids out of the White House and take his job away from him the American people gave him, there are going to be people who will come out there and turn out."
Fellow panel member and Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer amusingly rolled his eyes at King's implication of Fox News.
Below is a transcript of the relevant portion of the Friday, May 25, Inside Washington on PBS:
COLBY KING: For three and a half years, Republicans and Fox News have painted Barack Obama as the devil incarnate. No doubt-
GORDON PETERSON: Charles (Krauthammer) is rolling his eyes.
KING: Of course he is. That's why I (INAUDIBLE) ... May I, may I, may I, Dr. Krauthammer finish this pithy thought of mine?
CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: I didn't say a word. I'm silently rolling my eyes.
KING: Thank you. Just keep rolling them because I'm going to keep rolling. So they have reasons to want to get this son of Karl Marx out of the White House, but they got to be careful about how they go after Barack Obama because there is a base out there, and if there's a feeling that he is being treated unfairly, there's a feeling they are tryingto get rid of, take Michelle Obama and those nice two cute kids out of the White House and take his job away from him the American people gave him, there are going to be people who will come out there and turn out.
We are early in this part of the campaign, but you can count on the nastiness to fire up the base. The nastiness is going to come out. The Limbaughs are just going to let it all hang out, and you will see a response to that. There will be a reaction. Now, I stop and pause, and I wait with bated breath.

We need, the conservatives need, the American public needs, to have SOMEONE to bring up what's really been going on these last 3-1/2 years. This administration has gotten away with so much, it's unbelievable. I sincerely feel that numerous laws have knowingly been broken, and yet not only has there been no outcry, these' been little or no coverage. Take Fast and Furious as the prime example. Where else but on FOX has ANYTHING been said about this heinous excuse for a government operation? How many people, on both sides of the border, have DIED because of a piss-poor, agenda-driven supposed law-enforcement op? The whole idea behind this operation was to CAUSE deaths to promote their gun-control vision, and they had absolutely no care about who got hurt or how many laws they broke. The disdain for our laws and incredible corruption of this administration is insane. Even more insane is the virtually total lack of coverage by the media.

The lefties are thin-skinned, defensive, and really just plain stupid.
I really believe they still dont understand the 2010 election results
Limbaugh, or Fox News, on a good day has a 3 million audience.
They are important, but still only small players in a very angry electorate.

The lefties still don't understand the 2004 election results.
They still don't understand how Obama played the race card in 2008 to steal the nomination from Hillary.
There's a lot they don't understand.

What a bunch of bull!
The Presidency belongs to the citizens of the United States, not to the royal pretensions of a malignant narcissist gangster stooge from Chicago.
The house belongs to the taxpayers, not to Tony Rezko, Valarie Jarrett or any of the other co-conspirators in the pretender's ranks.
And good one-liner, Dr. K.

It sounds like he is saying there is something wrong with having a election and letting the people decide if they want 4 more years of Obama because it would take away his"job" and poor Michelle and the kids would have to leave the White House. And Charles only rolled his eyes. I am surprised he didn't start choking.

According to his acolytes, any criticism by his mild-mannered Republican opponents of Obama and his policies - no matter how innocuous - equal painting him as the "devil incarnate". These idiots have no idea of the negative reaction their rhetorical overkill is creating.

to do and that is to tell the truth and the whole truth about Obama. I knew Obama was no good back in 2008 and now more people are going to know what I know.
The Obama Zombies are still going to vote for him because they like that "distribution" thing he is pushing but the regular folk will outnumber them come November. Either that, or our Country as it was intended to be by our Founders will be lost forever!
He said he was going to "fundamentally change" America and he meant it!

They will pummel him for being a vulture-vampire capitalist at Bain Capital. They will pound him for being a miserable failure as the governor of Massachusetts. They will mash him for being a water-carrier for Paul Ryan’s Social Darwinist fiscal program. They will maul him for being a combination of Jerry Falwell, Joe Arpaio, and John Galt on a range of issues that strike deep chords with the Obama coalition. “We’re gonna say, ‘Let’s be clear what he would do as president,’ ” Plouffe explains. “Potentially abortion will be criminalized. Women will be denied contraceptive services. He’s far right on immigration. He supports efforts to amend the Constitution to ban gay marriage.” -John Heilemann

A majority of Americans may have been fooled into giving Obama "his" job in 2008 by buying his "hope and change" rhetoric, but we can darn well take it away from him in 2012 if we feel he isn't doing a good job, just like all 43 previous presidents! It's called voting them into and out of office. There's a document called the United States Constitution telling us how the government should work. Read it!
Colby King and Fox News

I have watched this guy King on a number of occasions. He is another example of a person who thinks that race explains everything. It does for him but not for me. His type believes that white people think about race as much as blacks. They don’t.
One thing is certain. This guy is overly sensitive the type of black man you don't watch a ball game with or exchange words with on a bus.
BTW, Obama is the incarnation of evil. I know that when I criticize Obama I am coming down on the side of truth. Fox News has done a good job.

Nastiness? King only needs to look at the Obama-side to see nastiness. Also, what about that comment about taking Obama's job away and putting those two cute little children out of the White house? Gimme a break. It's not a job for life, and the American People decide who gets to live there.
I can just hear the screams of the families who lost their houses thanks to the economic mess the Democrats caused thanks to their social engineering of the economy and their "diversification" of the housing market (thank you Barney Frank).
What will we hear next? "So Obama messed up during his first four years. He's learned and I think he should get another chance"?
