Politico's Simon Speaks of GOP 'War on Women,' Getting Govt 'Into Our Wombs'

By Brad Wilmouth | March 03, 2012 | 11:55

A  A

Appearing as a subsitute panel member on the Friday, March 2, Inside Washington on PBS, Politico columnist Roger Simon recited the liberal line of attack on Republicans as he theorized that female voters were being turned off from the GOP.

After quoting the Democratic charge of there being a GOP "war on women," moments later he wondered why Republicans were trying to get government 'into our wombs."

As the group theorized about the reasons that poll numbers for Republican presidential candidates were getting more negative, Simon chimed in:

And there's also a larger price you pay for this. Women, I think, can be said to be increasingly concerned about what Democrats call the Republicans' "war on women."

Moments later, as the group more directly discussed the recent debate over whether employers should be forced by the government to pay for contraception through insurance, the Politico columnist added:

The question for some, especially women, is: Why do the Republicans want to get government out of our lives, but into our wombs? I mean, it's more than contraception and reproductive rights, as the Supreme Court ruled decades ago. It is a matter of privacy whether the government can intrude upon your privacy to force you into doing or not doing certain medical acts.

Roger Simon: It is a matter of privacy whether the government can intrude upon your privacy to force you into doing or not doing certain medical acts.

Oh... you mean such as the government FORCING a person to buy medical insurance?

Or do you mean such as the government inspecting a four year olds lunch to see if it meets government nutritional guidelines and if it doen't FORCING the four year old to BUY a government provided meal?

Getting Flucked

Submitted by HardRightTurn on Sat, 03/03/2012 - 12:12pm.

Libers are not comfortable with their own wombs. That's why they are such angry, mean-spirited women who care only about their non-reproductive rights.

The libers should do the decent thing and get tubal ligations from the very get go. Get it over and done with. Then they can be as promiscuous as their luck permits.

To more fully comprehend the Left, one must read “Leftism As Psychopathy” by John Ray, M.A., Ph.D. Caution, it might scare you a little bit.

Dems/MSM determined to remove ECONOMY as issue going into NOV.

Submitted by krendler on Sat, 03/03/2012 - 12:21pm.

They know if the economy is THE ISSUE, Obama loses. Period. Their only chance is to throw as many divisive social issues - class warfare included - into the mix as possible. e.g. "GOP hates woman. GOP hates gays. GOP supports greedy rich people. GOP are religious zealots".

And the GOP candidates are allowing the media and Obama to do it.

Every time someone like David Gregory tries to play this game, Romney, Santorum, etc should give it back with both barrels: "I know YOU don't want to talk about it, David, but the economy IS THE ISSUE. Let's discuss how the current administration has destroyed it."

Do with your womb as you see fit, ...

Submitted by Newsbubba on Sat, 03/03/2012 - 12:55pm.

... just don't ask me to pay for it!  Now what part of that do liberals, men and women, LuGButTs, etc, not understand.

You can get the damned things ripped out, at your own expense, if it is elective surgery.

You can let every Tom, Dick (especially), and Harry (no pun intended) park his pud in the vicinity of it as often as you like, at your own expense, or at his expense if that's the way you roll.

Hell, there was a tourist babe who hit town a couple of years ago, went to a bar (at her expense), let it be known that she was looking for "rough sex." At their own expense, a couple of the troglodytes hanging around the bar, accommodated her, and she ended up dead by dildo.  It was NOT a government sponsored dildo!  I felt sorry for her, but hey, it was her womb.

We the People did have to pay to prosecute the two (no doubt) liberal voters who committed the act, but that is a legitimate government function.  Got no problem with paying for removing the garbage from the public.

I do believe, however, that once a womb is occupied (good liberal concept) by another little, helpless human being, the woman's rights to that womb must come under shared living rules.  Baby has a right to live.  THAT is a government responsibility to protect that life, as it tried to protect the public from the dildo killers.  That little baby never asked for trouble, so leave it alone.

Otherwise, do whatever the hell you want with the things, at your own expense please.

With the contraceptive

Submitted by Reaver on Sat, 03/03/2012 - 2:12pm.

With the contraceptive mandate isn’t it democrats who are “getting government into our wombs” as well as our wallets?

They want the government to

Submitted by mattm on Sat, 03/03/2012 - 3:11pm.

They want the government to take my money, give it to a 30 year old bimbo so she can pay for the contraceptives she needs so she can screw anyone, or pay for her abortions if the contraceptives don't work, and they say I want the government in her womb??? They are the ones who want the government in their wombs... But that's just typical lib-speak: accuse the opposition of what they are actually guilty of.

DNC is already in there

Submitted by m1xram on Sun, 03/04/2012 - 3:11am.

As usuall he's got things backwards, some of the GOP was hoping people would stay out until they're married. On the other hand the DNC has been talking people into slaughtering defensless children for years, never mentioning that the women would be more likely to get breast cancer, or they would feel really depressed about the murdered children. You can't get the DNC out of women's wombs. To think it all started with their plan to reduce the number of blacks.

The Womb, the last bastion of individuality

Submitted by CobraMan on Sun, 03/04/2012 - 1:03pm.

The Womb, the last bastion of individuality. How dare the government invade the womb, while invading the skin (wash your hands before returning to work!), the stomach (no salty, trans-fat, pesticide-laced soup for you!), the muscle (illegal steroid use!), the brain (Must attend public school!), and even the fat cell (Obesity epidemic!)

In true individualist fashion, the Feminists will complain loudly about how the GOP is wishing to invade the privacy of their womb via government, while they buy the most effective government regulated and tested birth control device, apply the hottest government regulated and tested beauty product, eat the healthiest government regulated and inspected "natural" food, and dance at the hippest maximum occupancy limited club! And still they wonder why we don't take them seriously?

Oh, and by the way, those same feminists will, after applying the hottest beauty product available, and slipping into the tightest, sexiest, most revealing outfit they can find, after sculpting their legs with the newest form of compressive nylon, and struggling to the most effective push-up bra, in order to wiggle and sway in the hottest, hippest dance club for the sole purpose for attracting a man (or another woman, to each their own) for casual, birth controlled, non-committal sex complain, loudly, to anyone within earshot, that Men (those callous beasts!) are, gasp, treating them like a whore! And STILL they think we should take them seriously! It's like a pyromaniac complaining about being labeled a firebug!

Ladies, I just can't feel sympathy for you because you say you can't afford birth control, at least not after you spent, in one day alone, more than 100 dollars to have your hair "styled," 60 dollars for the two shades of eyeshadow you apply, 30 dollars for the reddest shade of red lipstick you can find, 300 dollars for that tight, revealing designer dress that you'll only wear once a month, if that, 50 dollars for the newest, fashionable pair of high-heels available (a tortuous device you willingly wear just so your butt looks good. Not that I'm complaining, for it does look good!), and 50 or so dollars for an ounce of perfume.

I hate to tell you this, ladies, because I know how hard you work at it, but you really don't need to spend all that money just to attract someone, not when a 5 dollar undersized tee-shirt, and a 35 dollar pair of used, faded, torn jeans, both of which are available at the local goodwill store, is all that is really necessary. You don't even need shoes! Not that many people have a foot fetish, you know. And the ones that do, they don't want to see your shoes!

The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States. The US Constitution

Unless you're a fetus. The US Supreme Court
