Maher Audience Boos Idea of Talking Women Out of Having Abortions
On Friday's Real Time with Bill Maher show on HBO, during a discussion of the recently passed Virginia law that requires an ultrasound be performed on every candidate for abortion in the hopes that the mother might decide not to go through with the procedure, economist Stephen Moore was booed by a number of audience members when he expressed the view that generally it would be a "good thing" to convince women not to have abortions, noting the feelings of regret women often feel afterwards. (Video below)
Inspiring boos, Moore innocuously declared:
Yeah, but you have to agree, if we can, steps we can take to make, to help women re-decide about whether they're going to have an abortion, that's a good thing. There are a lot of women who have abortions who really regret doing it afterwards.
After the audience reaction, he continued: "There's no question about it. You know that's true."

is rapidly spiriling down the $hit hole. And in all condor, I can not say I am surprised or sorry. It's not Egypt or Rome, but I guess 230 odd years ain't bad.
why does the left like to kill babies?
Submitted by ohio granny on Sat, 02/18/2012 - 10:24am.
The questions we should be asking is why is it okay to kill babies but not okay for the death penalty? What did a "fetus" (baby) do to deserve to die but a mass murderer of innocent people does not? If someone tortures and then kills why should that person not get the death penalty? Why is it okay to kill or allow to die an infant born alive after a botched abortion?
I would love to hear a leftist answer these questions honestly.

They are incapable of answering those questions honestly because they deny the reality that is right in front of them.
Most leftists seem to think the American Dream is anal sex for men and abortions for women. If left to their own pursuits, they'd die out fairly quickly.

... on the way to their master plan, Eugenics.
You know the theory of boiling the frog, where if you just turn up the temperature just a little and let the frog get used to it before going higher, he will be boiled and never even see it coming?
They are boiling the public as we speak for the day this country wakes up and the Secretary of Eugenics will have the power to decide which fetuses live, which die, who can even have a child, how many they can have. what adults can be "eliminated' because of whtever reason the government feels necessary, etc, etc, etc.
Don't think so? Read about 1930's Germany, the Communist Revolution in Europe and it's aftermath, the Commie Revolution in China, or even China TODAY!! Want to get closer to home, try Cuba and Castro.
It can happen. It IS happening here as we watch.
Once the government has the power over life and death, literally, they don't really have to sweat "the people" any longer. We will have "Life" only if they say so, "Liberty" as defined by them, and "Pursuit of Happiness" with the government deciding what makes us happy.
I suggest that you decide to go down swinging.

It was happening here too. Members of the Nazi party were in contact with academics and members of state bureaucracies right here in my own state of Virginia. They were modifying the Virginia Racial Integrity Act of 1924, which was the ban on whites marrying other races.
I first learned of this while my cousin was tracing our family tree. We found a birth certificate of a great, great grandfather that was listed as "colored". We had a couple of pictures of him and he was white as can be.
In the 1920s there was a guy named Walter Plecker who was registrar at the Bureau of Vital Statistics of the Virginia Board of Health. He went through birth certificates and searched for certain surnames, which HE deemed had "mixed blood" heritage and reclassified them with no consent of, or notice to the families.
My point being, you are right in your prediction. With so many overlapping bureaucracies and a health care law that is thick enough to stop a .44 magnum bullet, there is no telling what could be in the works. Add to that a Supreme Court that may or may not decide to use the Constitution to make a ruling, and we are doomed.
Oh, as to my "colored" ancestor, I now fill out paperwork for the gubmint and list myself as African-American. If Barry can do it, so can I.
Great, Tug!

As I was reading down through your post, I was saying to myself, "man, this guy has a gold mine at his fingertips!"
Glad to see your last paragraph seeing you take advantage of the system. You are in line for all kinds of goodies that OTB's aren't able to collect.
Go for it, brother. (Can we call you Reverend yet? That should be the next step on your list).
If you have made a decision

If you have made a decision (I don't care what it is) and you KNOW it's the right one, no level of scrutiny will make you doubt it. Because you know you're right.
Funny how these pro-abortion women don't have that feeling of knowing they are right. Maybe the reason is deep down inside, they know they're wrong.
If Maher were to calmly

If Maher were to calmly suggest the idea, that women should be shown an ultrasound of their baby before getting an abortion, and frame it in a way that sounds compassionate for the mother, his audience would clap respectfully.

Those people have simply

Those people have simply destroyed their consciences and it is these kinds of people who don't the moral compunction or the courage to do what is right in God's sight or simply for what's good for society.
It's these kinds of people that should have no business in positions of authority or even casting a vote.
