Colbert Mocks Santorum by Making Light of Partial-Birth Abortion Concerns
On Thursday's The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, citing a recent article by conservative columnist George Will in which he asserted that Republicans "crave fun" in their presidential campaigns, host Stephen Colbert found amusement in GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum's concerns about partial-birth abortion as the Comedy Central host joked about playing a drinking game based on the former Senator's attention to the egregious abortion procedure.
After reading from Will's article, Colbert declared:
And, folks, you want fun? Santorum is the life of the party. Heck, he's the pro-life of the party. There's this great drinking game where you take a shot every time he says the words "partial-birth abortion."
Colbert took out a bottle of alcohol, and then showed a montage of clips of the former Pennsylvania Senator talking about partial-birth abortion, inpiring some audience members to laugh.

allowed the showing of just how gruesome abortion, let alone partial birth, really is, I wonder how easily it would be trivialized.

a first trimester abortion is fine, but think a partial birth abortion is a disgusting barbaric act. How can anyone joke about it?

When comedians are able to

When comedians are able to make light of something so serious and horrifying as partial birth abortion, they no longer have any capacity to claim any kind of moral stance on anything. People who think killing babies is not a big deal, especially partial birth abortions where no one can deny it's a living, human being are amoral. And someone who has no morals is evil.
5 shots since October? Sounds like a boring game.

Oh wow, a drinking game for someone who likes a shot every other week or so....how clever.
How pathetic is it that Colbert had to dig a clip up from October 17th to suit his premise?
Plus, did you see he barely drank anything out of that bottle? Comeon Steven, where's your commitment to the gag?
Now if you really want to get drunk, how about a drinking game where you take a shot every time Obama complained about "inheriting" a problem...?
Good thing it doesnt exist, or we'd all be dead by now of alcohol poisoning by now.
Colbert, Maher and Colmes et alia

Just within the past month the left under the guise of comedy and I include
Colmes in that group too have not only shown themselves to be amoral and mean spirited degenerates who mock partial birth abortions, the death of a child and whatever hateful spew Maher has brought forth this past month.
I revise, not amoral , immoral.
They are morally and socially corrupt and allowed to denigrate human life to a comedy line. When are the American people going to wake up and make a change? Hopefully in November, starting with their chief enabler and then with them.
No matter who the Republican nominee is vote for him . Enough is enough. Even if you agree to a womans right to abortion this has to make you wince. Hey I listened to Lenny Bruce and George Carlin but as meanspirited as they too later became, they didn't sink to this level.

Liberals like Colbert don't know what to do with the topic of partial-birth abortion. They know it highlights the disgusting truth of abortion. It's obviously very damaging to the "pro-choice" (read "pro-abortion") position because it shows so clearly that it's a baby being killed... and in a barbaric way. Therefore, they have to try to minimize it by making jokes about a candidate who opposes it? That's how they deal with their cognitive dissonance on this. Or perhaps, just perhaps, people like Colbert are simply evil people whom God has given over to their degrading passions.

And these bastards get paid millions. How the airways get by with such repulsive shows, is a disgrace to the media. As stated previous he caters to young kids and this makes it a tragedy. It is to the point that life isn't sacred to networks only making money off two bit a$$es is their goal. Who sponsers this crap and where the hel are their heads
