ABC's Walters Contrasts Obama Marriage with Gingrich Marital Problems
During her interview with President and Mrs. Obama which aired on Friday's 20/20, ABC's Barbara Walters made a point of contrasting GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich's history of marital problems with the successful marriage of the First Family.

Walters introduced the topic as she observed:
I'm looking at you. You're holding hands. That's very sweet. How many years married?
Walters noted that the Obama marriage "has always been a political asset," but, when noting that other politicians have had problems in that arena, she only mentioned Republican candidate Gingrich. Walters:
The Obamas' marriage has always been a political asset. Not so for every politician, like Republican candidate Newt Gingrich, who has had to address questions of whether infidelity is fair game during a presidential campaign. This topic has come up recently in the Republican debates.
She went on to ask President Obama if the topic should be "part of the public debate."

PRESIDENT OBAMA: You know, I'm not big on people's personal lives being poked and prodded, and that that ends up being the primary issue. We've got such big issues to deal with right now. And there's such substantial differences between, certainly, my position and any of the Republican candidates. That's wat we should focus on.

Walters has been married 4 times (1 annulment; 3 divorces) and admits to having an affair with Sen. Edward Brooke (R-MA), who was married at the time. Decades ago in a TV interview, Walters admitted that she had sex with news producers earlier in her career as she was climbing to the top.
To someone with that bio, a couple that has stayed married must seem like a miracle.

Obama was smart not to answer the question about infidelity being an issue, but Baba got it out there, and that's what counts.

Some facts:
In late May, Wash. DC-based investigative journalist Wayne Madsen had a bombshell revelation about Obama’s membership in a Chicago gay club, Man’s Country. Madsen also reported on Obama’s sexual relationships with other men, including named D.C. politicians and Donald Young, the openly-gay choir-director of the church in Chicago of which Obama was a member for some 20 years — Jeremy Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ black liberation theology. Obama’s relationship with Young was confirmed by Larry Sinclair, who claims to have had two sex-cocaine trysts with Obama.
There were two other openly gay men in Wright’s church: Larry Bland and Nate Spencer. In late 2007, as Obama began his ascent to be the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, in a span of 1½ months, all three men “conveniently” died:
• Bland was murdered execution-style on November 17, 2007;
• Young was murdered execution-style on December 24, 2007;
• Spencer reportedly died of septicemia, pneumonia, and HIV on December 26, 2007.

The left is inherently racist. Pointing out that they remain married when so many of African heritage in this country are born out of wedlock is Barbara's version of "He's so clean" (Biden). Maybe next time she can point out his ability to slip in and out of "black dialect" (Reid) and celebrate the fact that he isn't there just to "bring us coffee" (Clinton).

Every time these two are together, they are so brittle and fake it makes my teeth ache--they dart glares at each other, can't wait for one to stop talking so they can blab, there is no heat, no affection that I can ever detect.
