ABC Skips Corzine Resignation, CBS and NBC Avoid Democrat Label
ABC's World News this week failed to mention the development that former New Jersey Democratic Senator and former Governor Jon Corzine is mired in a scandal involving $600 million in missing funds from the financial firm MF Global which he headed until today.
The CBS Evening News and the NBC Nightly News so far have not mentioned Corzine's Democratic Party affiliation as they ran full reports on Tuesday, and on Friday both shows updated viewers after Corzine's resignation.
On Friday, Brian Williams related that a "prominent criminal defense lawyer" had been hired by Corzine as the NBC anchor read a brief item:
Jon Corzine is in the midst of a spectacular fall from grace. He was the head of Goldman Sachs, he was a U.S. Senator, and later governor of New Jersey. Well, his latest job as head of financial brokerage firm MF Global came to an end today. The firm failed four days ago. Over $600 million in customer funds is missing, and the whole enterprise is now under investigation. Corzine has hired a prominent criminal defense lawyer.
CBS anchor Scott Pelley asked correspondent Anthony Mason about the latest on Corzine after a piece by Mason on another subject had concluded:
SCOTT PELLEY: There were some developments today in the collapse of that Wall Street trading firm, MF Global. The head of that company, Jon Corzine - who is a former U.S. Senator, former head of Goldman Sachs, former governor of New Jersey - he resigned today. What are the developments there?
ANTHONY MASON: Well, he, in resigning, Scott, he gave up a $12 million severance package, and, in a statement, said he felt great sadness, but he did not apologize for the collapse of the company, and investigators are still looking for $600 million in missing customer money.

Right now the Lame Stream

Right now the Lame Stream Media is looking at the carpet and trying to figure out the best way to sweep this under it. They don't want this to come back and hurt their messiah, President Downgrade.

There's a Top One Percenter on the loose! He got rich at Goldman Sachs, broke New Jersey, and now he's got himself a big lawyer to help hide the missing $600 million.

Jon Corzine?
The Jon Corzine who is a DEMOCRAT (& Obama supporter)?
The Democrat Jon Corzine who raised at least $500,000 for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign just since April?
The Jon Corzine who is a DEMOCRAT (& Obama supporter) that managed MF Global Holdings right into bankruptcy?
Jon Corzine the DEMOCRAT (& Obama supporter) who is getting a $12 MILLION bonus for 'managing' MF Global into bankruptcy?
Is that the same DEMOCRAT (& Obama supporter) Jon Corzine who is the former head of GOLDMAN SACHS?
betcha OWS doesn't protest at his house.

or Couric, what is the difference. Sawyer bet OReilly she would be fair during the up-coming election and obviously, lost that bet. Williams gets worse each show. His "news" is dull and extremely boring. They all could report the important news, but, oh no, it's either about Cain or Micheal Jackson

He survived a serious accident driving 90 mph without a seat belt, which is exactly the way he governed New Jersey. Because of his literal love affair with the unions, he would be the perfect choice to deliver a speech to his cohorts in Zucotti Park.
So as the media blames the regulators for being asleep instead of Corzine for MF Global, it proves the point,"Sooner or later you run out of other people's money, except of course if it's taxpayer money!"

Clueless in Seattle

AP piece on Corzine in Seattle Times today went on for 800 words, without using the words "Democrat" or "Obama". Amazing.
Meanwhile, nearby an article covering Cain's mystery accuser's lawyer saying she is declining to go public or comment further, even after being publicly released from the no-comment agreement by the National Restaurant Association. The headline?
"CAIN ACCUSER PROVIDES DETAILS"
It's true - you just can't make this $#17 up!
And Monday, in multiple big offices in media-land, there will be bigwigs in yet another meeting to try to figure out why they are losing advertizers, readers, viewers, and listeners. They will probably conclude it is Bush's fault.

Yeah, it kind of reminds my of the way Fox was handling the Rupert Murdoch phone and hacking info.
What was the verdict on that story?

It would appear that Fox gave "the Rupert Murdoch phone hacking info" the amount of time it warranted while the other networks hyped that one too.
vpose must be an avid MessNBC viewer

The reason it reminds you of the way Fox handled Rupert's problem is that you don't watch FOX. They had many stories on about the scandal and repeatedly gave full disclosure of Murdoch owning Fox News. Nice try. By the way, how is that hope and change coming along?
No bias here

No sir no bias at the aphabet stations. What they fail to realize is anytime a prominent political person is mentioned without a party label, we all know it is a DEMOCRATt. Do they really think most Americans are that stupid? We really do have lots of other sources of information without ever watching or listening to any of them. As time goes on more and more people are turning out and off the so-called MSM.
More and more irrelevent. LOL
