Dennis Miller: ‘Smartest Guy’ Obama is Either ‘Oblivious’ or ‘Disingenuous’

On Wednesday’s The O’Reilly Factor on FNC, during the show’s regular "Miller Time" segment, comedian Dennis Miller used humor to make a serious point about Barack Obama’s connections to corrupt and questionable characters in Illinois, and whether the President-elect was aware of the darker sides of his colleagues. Miller: "It’s just nice to know that my President-elect went through that entire system – all of these guys – Ayers, Blagojevich, Rezko, the Reverend Wright – and he didn’t notice any of them. At his worst, he is oblivious. At his absolute worst, he is disingenuous. He had to know something about some of these guys. ... We’re told that he’s the smartest guy on the planet on one hand. In the other hand, he never noticed any of this stuff. Come on, get the antenna up there, Barack. You got to wake up."

Below is a portion of the discussion with Miller from the Wednesday, December 10, The O’Reilly Factor on FNC:

DENNIS MILLER: I haven’t seen a bigger hack than Blagojevich come out of Chicago since the great slugger Wilson traded 191 of his teammates for the 1930 Cubbies. This is the quintessential political hack, and it’s just nice to know that my President-elect went through that entire system – all of these guys – Ayers, Blagojevich, Rezko, the Reverend Wright – and he didn’t notice any of them. At his worst, he is oblivious. At his absolute worst, he is disingenuous. He had to know something about some of these guys.

BILL O’REILLY: You know, I don’t want to be cynical. I want to give Obama a chance. But it is mind-boggling, it is mind-boggling that every two weeks, another, somebody emerges from the depths, the inner depths, and there he is going, "You know, hey, you know, I don’t know, I, you know."

MILLER: Oh, come on, you know. I’ll tell you, you know. We’re told that he’s the smartest guy on the planet on one hand. In the other hand, he never noticed any of this stuff. Come on, get the antenna up there, Barack. You got to wake up.

O’REILLY: Rahm Emanuel, too, the chief of staff, knew Blagojevich very, very well. And I think, you know, look, the tapes are interesting because they exonerate Barack Obama 100 percent, but Emanuel, now, you know, you know, this Blagojevich, if he flips, you know what he’s going to do. He’s going to just lay it right out there because, you know, he knows everything.

MILLER: Listen, if Blagojevich, Rezko, Wright, or Ayers flip on Rahm Emanuel, they’re going to end up in a parking garage facing into a wall, and they’re going to have a remake of the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre because he plays rough.

MillerTime

AH YEAH !

Miller is right, for Obama

Miller is right, for Obama to be believed, he must be MORE clueless than anyone every alleged about his predecessor - GWB.

And Obama WANTS US to believe he is an idiot.

Next time I hear a lib complain about Bush's IQ, we only have to catalogue Obamas self identified deficiency....

I love Dennis!!

I loved him when he was a lib, but now he is my uber-fave comedian! If you have never seen his rant on Harry Reid, then you must go to youtube and watch it. While you are there, if you haven't even seen much of Dennis, you have been missing out. He is the type that Hollywood hates, he is supersmart, and is a reformed liberal. So, that makes him just about perfect, to me.

I wish HBO would get rid of

I wish HBO would get rid of that POS Bill Maher and bring back Dennis Miller's show.  It was much more intelligent and had less hatred and vitriol.

He may be a comedian by

He may be a comedian by trade, but he makes more sense than 80% of the politicians out there.

If only BOR would shut his trap and quit interrupting him every 10 seconds...

SoL... I couldn't agree

SoL...

I couldn't agree more with all of your post...

BOR cannot help but insert himself constantly...it drives me nuts too.

A thought

Can Fox News perhaps, oh, I don't know, what's the word... replace Bill with Dennis?

Mike...we couldn't be so

Mike...we couldn't be so lucky!

You wanna' bet the ratings would increase for the time slot?!

Btw...what would Olbie do...why he'd be lost!

BT:

I can't tell if BOR thinks he is playing the Abbott or Costello part.

Either way, I just wanna smack the TV!

YOU KNOW

O'Reilly:  You know, know I know, ya know, ya know know.  And this guys calls himself a journalist.  I DONT KNOW

I caught this last

I caught this last night...I always look forward to Miller Time segments...and he hit all the right spots perfectly...

Especially the last paragraph..

Blogo had better have plenty of body-guards, make sure he has made copies of tapes or anything else he has to show for proof of all the involvement by others in the O machine...ect ect...

The msm have been busy little bees since yesterday with their Clintonesque tirades of declaring Blogo off his rocker...some things never change.

My husband and I were watching a few of the news programs last night and it was very obvious the direction the msm is going now to circle the wagons for O and his team..we both said this is just a replay of the Clinton tactics...destroy person, the sooner the better.

One of the bright spots of the BOR show

The other being Laura Ingraham.

Dennis Miller is always spot on with his dry and very astute observational skills. :)

"part of what I'm hoping to introduce as the next president is a new ethic of [government enforced] responsibility" - B. Obama

Dennis is so brilliant

He's had our own Noel Sheppard on his radio show.

Wednesday nights are the only ones worth watching the BOR show.

If you want to see vintage Dennis, check out his vids of the conventions on Fox...you can find it under BOR's show.   Dennis at his very finest.

Imagine....

what Miller's press conferences and floor speeches would be like if he ran for Congress and got elected!

C-SPAN would be on all the time at my house!

Cmon, Wil, no comedian would

Cmon, Wil, no comedian would ever be taken seriously if they ran for Congress.

Oh wait, nevermind...

 I agree. I cannot stomach

I agree. I cannot stomach BOR. He is way more populist than he is conservative and he just can't keep his trap shut. He cannot ever admit to being wrong. Laura Ingrahm does do a much better job than BOR in my opinion.

One of the things that really grates my nerves is when BOR (or anyone else) says, "There oughtta be a law..."

"An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life." --Robert A. Heinlein, "Beyond This Horizon," 1942

How about both.

Not to mentions Obama doesn't give a s**t.  He's president now. It didn't matter who he hangs with he was still voted in. What a nightmare.

MOM

Culture of corruption

Obama has sidestepped the mud until now, but he just landed in the ultimate mud-slung office. If there's any mud to be thrown, they're going to throw it at him.

Well, at least that's how it's supposed to be. Look around, especially in the last few months. Can we name one person who has taken real responsibility for anything? Anyone? For anything?

  • Chris Dodd is the Banking Committee chairman for two years, and blocks banking reform. When the banks collapse, does he take responsibility for it? No. Instead he blames it all on Bush, for which he gets a sweetheart deal from the same banks he was "overseeing," and a permanent slot on CNN and Jim Lehrer.
  • Barney Frank thwarts reform of Fannie Mae, and then absolves himself of blame by arguing that the GOP was in charge most of the time -- not mentioning that the reason the GOP couldn't get reform passed through committee is because the Democrats blocked it. Does he take responsibility for it? No. Instead, he gets promoted to be in charge of the process!
  • Charlie Rangel. Enough said.

I'll bet that Obama looks at that landscape of leadership and responsibility, and figures he can just skate through unscathed. After all, it's worked for him so far.  And Obama probably looked at Bush, who took responsibility for everything. Obama learned the Clinton-esque lesson: never take responsibility, because once you do, everyone will blame everything on you.

In the end, it'll be just like Clinton. People will watch Obama from afar, but he won't lead anyone anywhere. They'll admire his political ability, but when they all look around, they'll realize that he hasn't moved anything or anyone.

Miller Time!

Miller Time is my favorite segment of The Factor. Its always laugh out loud hilarious. My favorite is Miller's rant about James Carville and Bill Richardson.

Purdue Matt

Thanks for reminding me about those two rants, but I still say that the Reid rant, it wasn't an O'reilly bit, was the very best. Youtube has some of the really old stand up of Millers' when he was just a mere lad. You don't know what you are missing until you see that stuff. He's the best.

Wait a doggone minute

I was wondering how Comrade Glorious Supreme Leader Obama sucked it up and hired all of Hillary's people... I figured it was the deal he cut to have her drop out. Maybe, just maybe, he's not as dumb as he looks! He cuts the deal with the Hillinator to get her out, hires her people, (read Rahm), and then very discreetly feeds them to the wolves with the end result of forcing them to resign. Wow. Might just be a brilliant move here... waddayathink???

Miller Time, is it 5 yet?.....

Dennis, Don't hold back.....

He tells it like it is.

"Government is like a
baby: An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of
responsibility at the other."

- Ronald Reagan

Dennis and I are on the

Dennis and I are on the same page...I said the same thing on the previous blog. I quess it sounds funnier coming from Dennis. :-)

 "Obama is Either

"Obama is Either ‘Oblivious’ or ‘Disingenuous"

He is neither oblivious or disingenuous....he is simply....The One.

"Libs never let you down. You don't have to talk to one very long before the stupid comes out."

I love Dennis Miller...

His comments were "on point" as usual!
