When NBC host Tom Brokaw took him to task for trying to "justify" the USSR's actions, Turner demanded, "Why can't I try and justify it?"

Now I know why Brokow and Co. have this guy on TV. It is not his money or books, but his outrageous bs.

Actually, it is revealing to see just how out of touch some of the wealthy people are.  He seems guilty to have so much. His comment giving money to less fortunate people to get into heaven is rich. He can send me a check any time. If that makes him feel happy, then he can a BIG check. I don't think he is very happy with all of his money. 

I laughed out loud when he sang "Home on the Range". What an egomaniac.

It was great to watch Brokaw try to keep a straight face. Ted was in rare form this morning, and even Tom could not let it go unchallenged. But seriously, if MTP had and credibility (sarc on) it is now gone. Did they really have to give that nut 15 minutes to plug his new book?

What's disturbing, however, is the fact that either Tom Brokaw or the whole NBC News staff consider Ted Turner to be a person worth listening to. Why did they put this idiot on the air?

Years ago, Tim Russert was hosting a MTP roundtable about religion. A priest complained that the media devotes so little time to religion. Russert indignantly objected that he was giving religion an entire hour(!) of network time, and that alone proved that NBC considered the topic important enough for the American public to pay attention.

Well, the same rule applies here. NBC devoted time to this anti-American dolt, which means they consider him important. Why?

The media favors the media. Ted Turner made money in the media, so the media considers him important. They claim to see the world through the eyes of ordinary citizens, but they're just pushing the media's agenda. That's the fraud at the foundation of the media.

I guess Ted forgot that Saddam's Iraq invaded Kuwait and Iran. I guess Ted forgot that Saddam was in violation of his  Gulf War cease fire obligations.  I guess Ted forgot that Saddam terrorized the Shiites and Kurds and killed countless numbers of his own people.

 Ted is very forgetful when he has a soapbox to bash the country he so despises  -- the country that left him free to build a business.

Also note that the intelligence services of the Israelis and the
Americans now work together so closely that the interests of one are
inevitably shared by the other; the net result is that the two nations(
the uSA and '?Isreal') are in lockstep toward achieving the common goal
of world inhumane domination. However, the Israeli intelligence service
is light years ahead of fbi/cia and are in fact masters of the universe
with regard to techniques used to subjugate their targets.
