Canada is made up of small towns and many if not most trace their ancestry back to their "redneck cousin" and they still have relatives here in the U.S..

My canadian relatives tell me that Heather is a horse faced liberal harridan, sort of a provincial version of  Maureen Dowd, whose column is best used as bird cage lining and I've seen no reason to argue based on this column which hopefully is the last of hers I will ever read.

According to some guy on Greta last night, from Canada, this is how many journalist think but "hide behind a wall of impartiality".  He said he heard many from both canada and US talk like this woman in bars.

Also according to this guy, the stuff she spews is leftist and "protected and payed for by the government"  In the meantime conservatism is being made illegal.  Fewer are willing to speak out since the ones who do are hauled into court and brought up on charges of "Insensitivty and such" which are laws up in Canada.  Coming to a town near you soon enough.  And they call US facists?

I always thought Canada was a big repository for backwoods people, people who liked hunting fishing and the "great white north!"

 PS - what is ruining small towns is that the liberals are leaving the big cities and coming to small towns and suing the city to remove anything spritual from the public square and infiltrating the public schools with typical PC garbage.

In the words of John McEnroe...you cannot be serious. Heather Mallick was fired from the Toronto Globe and Mail years ago for being such a nutcase. I thought she had disappeared..now I find she reappeared on CBC..she's like a virus..and you're posting about her???

Isn't  pretty much what he "corrected" his insult to?  That small town Americans vote on religion or guns because that's all they have, no jobs, no prospects, nothing?

This, apparently is a common belief in  leftist circles, both here and in Canada. She should come down and work for the Obama campaign.

...and why should we be emulating Canada?  Because we WANT to go nowhere as a nation? 

That's like demanding the New England Patriots play more like the Tennessee Titans or the Chicago Bears.

I got exposed to Mallick in an edition of Macleans that had an article that in part blasted her Socialistic attack on the evil Wal Mart.  This ingrate is a Socialist elitist of the highest order.

Whoever casts a vote for Obama-Biden is nothing more than a common thief.  Whoever fails to vote against them is nothing more than a moral coward.

Amazing.  All that vitriol from a member of the "fairer sex"?  What could be the source of such hatred?

Got it. 

1.  She's from a small town in northern Ontario (about the same size as Wasilla, AK) and left at age 18, presumably to make something of herself.  Sadly, she only managed two degrees in English Lit.--both from Canadian schools.
2.  She's last on the list of famous folk from the same small town, including:

    * James Cameron, motion picture director
    * Rayanne Dupuis, opera singer
    * Roy Dupuis, actor
    * Kirk McCaskill, Major League Baseball pitcher
    * Kelly Vanderbeek, alpine ski racer
3.  She has a look resembling Jackie Coogan in pearls and a wig.

I wouldn't go so far as to assert that the fact she's a Muslim of Pakistani descent has anything to do with her world view.  That would be unfair.

As stupid as some of these people are, they sure give me an endless supply of material. And being the nice guy that I am, I post their comments as often as possible. At this rate, the left, and the liberal media will soon piss off every common-sense voter we have in this country, so I say let them continue to show us how stupid they are. Obama will be proud of them. Unless he loses in Nov!
