'To Catch a Predator' Host Caught in Affair

By Aubrey Vaughan | June 29, 2011 | 17:40

Chris Hansen became famous by catching would-be sexual predators on his hidden camera show, 'To Catch a Predator.' Now, the tables have turned, as Hansen was caught on hidden camera having an affair with a woman 21 years younger than him.

According to a sting operation by the National Enquirer, the married, father of two Hansen has apparently been secretly dating Kristyn Caddell, a 30-year-old journalist from Florida, for the past four months.

The Daily Mail's Fiona Roberts explains how Hansen's affair was exposed:

Last weekend he was recorded taking Miss Caddell on a romantic dinner at the exclusive Ritz-Carlton hotel in Manalapan, before spending the night at her Palm Beach apartment.

[...]

Secret cameras filmed the couple as they arrived at the hotel for dinner and then drove back to her apartment - where the pair left, carrying luggage, at 8am the following day.

Hansen lives in Connecticut with his wife Mary, 53, but he has been spending more and more time in South Florida investigating the disappearance of James 'Jimmy T' Trindade - and allegedly sleeping with Miss Caddell.

A source told the newspaper the pair met in March, when they were both out with friends at the Blue Martini Lounge in Palm Beach.

While there is nothing illegal about Hansen's affair, his being caught by hidden cameras is quite ironic, considering he used the same hidden camera setup to catch unsuspecting predators on his television program during its four-year run.

I'm Shocked!

Submitted by Tugboat Phil on Wed, 06/29/2011 - 6:04pm.

Shocked, I say! Round up the usual suspects!

President Obama is a Muslim (from his own lips), Kenyan (read it from his publicist) a homosexual (read it on a news magazine cover) and a Socialist (I'm alive and can see it for myself)

I don't understand why this matters

Submitted by Hoosier Conservative on Wed, 06/29/2011 - 6:39pm.

To Catch a Predator didn't bust older men dating women in their 30s, it just went after illegal predators on kids. Not much of a story to this.

It's not really hypocrisy..

Submitted by greggy on Wed, 06/29/2011 - 9:08pm.

but it is ironic. He is married with two kids, and she is easily young enough to be his daughter - and he was caught on a hidden camera investigation. Certainly there is significant moral turpitude involved, although nowhere near as bad as is exposed on his TV show.

No where near as bad??? ...Ask Mrs. Hansen...

Hmmm, let me see

Submitted by dennyf51 on Thu, 06/30/2011 - 9:52am.

A man having an affair with a younger woman is bad. A man showing pictures of his package all over the internet is a private matter between him and his wife, even though he is in the congress. A president getting a hum job in the oval office with an intern, good for him. See if you can tell which of these non-stories represent progressive values.

Couldn't Have Happened To A "Nicer Fellow"...

Submitted by TheReal7Sticks on Thu, 06/30/2011 - 12:14am.

...and by "nicer fellow", I actually mean a sub-human peice of filth. This P.O.S. has blood on his hands for causing the suicde of one of these so-called child predators (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2008/06/nbc-resolves-la.html) And that this circus freak show did nothing more than to fundamentally distort the truth and reality about sex offenders is not even pondered about. Because of that show, the distorted viewpoint is that every sex offender must be a balding middle-aged pedophile who is so one-dimensional that he is a caricture. Too bad the issue is a lot more complicated than that (did you know that minors can be registered as sex offenders if they're caught "sexting"?)

And now, the damage is done. California, and its mislead idiotic voters, decided it was worth bankrupting the state by putting forth a sex-offender law that was all for "protecting children". Actually, it was all for special interest groups like security companies and prison guard unions in getting tax payer monies for goodies that did nothing to protect children. In fact, the opponents of the law warned that, because of remote areas that were out of the jurisdiction of these laws, children were put at an even higher risk to being targeted by pedophiles than before this godforsaken law was passed. And part of the reason it was passed was the distorting of facts by the MSM just to feed its lowest common denominator. And one of those distorters was Chris Hansen.

While it is of interest to see how this peice of sub-human filth has played tiddlywinks to his disadvantage, the damage by him has already been done, and it will take a long time before it is repaired, long after he passes on and rots in Hell for the evil deeds he has done.

Wondering, which show of his

Submitted by dennyf51 on Thu, 06/30/2011 - 9:56am.

Wondering, which show of his were you on. Give us the week and year, we can check the archives on that. Did you run and get tased or just sit and have a conversation regarding the fact you were only concerned for the safety of a young boy being left at home alone. Any court date yet, or still waiting for the paperwork. Best of luck.

POS

Submitted by CobraMan on Thu, 06/30/2011 - 1:56pm.

"Couldn't Have Happened To A "Nicer Fellow"...

And by "nicer fellow," I mean the POS pedophile who raped children and who's actions harmed them significantly for life.

It's telling that you sympathize with the pedophile, but have no such sympathy for the VICTIMS of pedophiles, the children. In my opinion, that, alone, makes YOU the "sub-human filth."

It is illegal

Submitted by CobraMan on Thu, 06/30/2011 - 1:52pm.

"While there is nothing illegal about Hansen's affair..."

Adultery is illegal in Connecticut. It is a violation of civil law. There are no criminal penalties, but the civil penalties can be severe.

MSNBC Employs Guy Who Brags of Sex with 15-year-old Girl

Submitted by Jim Goad on Fri, 07/01/2011 - 2:10pm.

As MSNBC defines a "predator," they have one in their own house.

Hansen needs to go after MSNBC commentator Mark Ames (Dylan Ratigan Show), who bragged of having sex with a 15-year-old while he was in his mid-30s:
