While all three of the major broadcast networks covered the indictment of Democratic Senator Robert Menendez (N.J.) on Wednesday night, the CBS Evening News chose to largely downplay the news by spending just 22 seconds on the story and hailed Menendez as someone “who often seems to relish a fight.”

Liberal CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin attacked Governor Asa Hutichison on the 1 April 2015 edition of At This Hour, after the Arkansas Republican asked the state legislature to bring a proposed Religious Freedom Restoration Act closer to the original 1993 federal law: "This was political double-talk....The idea that you can compromise and find some language that allows people to not do business with gay people; and also, protect them...from discrimination, it's just impossible. There are no compromises available here."

In what can only be described as a commentary masquerading as a news brief, CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley took multiple shots at Indiana and its Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) on Tuesday by complaining about the bill’s length and indirectly using the First Amendment to support opponents of the law.

For the fifth straight night, the major broadcast networks used their evening newscasts to blast the State of Indiana on Tuesday for sparking an “uproar” and “national outcry” over its Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) while also choosing to heavily promote the arguments of opponents.

On Tuesday, ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir and the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley declined to cover the latest in the Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal as the House Select Committee on Benghazi has requested a private meeting with the former secretary of state while a separate deadline concerning her e-mail server approaches.

Heritage Foundation's Ryan Anderson defended Indiana's religious freedom law on the 30 March 2015 edition of MSNBC's All In program, and blasted far-left LGBT activist Dan Savage for likening the new statute to Jim Crow: "It's interesting that Dan says that it's discrimination. It strikes me that all of the businesses that are currently boycotting Indiana are saying that they want to run their businesses in accordance with their values....Why is it the 70-year-old grandmother can't be free to run her business, in accordance with her values?"
