The 22 May 2015 edition of CNN's New Day played up that the Hillary Clinton e-mails revealed by the New York Times "dispute the narrative that has been around for two years that she was trying to cover something up" about the 2012 terrorist attacks in Benghazi, as Alisyn Camerota put it. The CNN anchor also wondered, "Isn't this the opposite of what the GOP has been saying about her? That she kept it – tried to keep it secret?"

NBC's Today completely ignored the story, despite a four-hour running time. CBS This Morning allowed a scant eight seconds on the story.  Good Morning America news reader Amy Robach revealed, "And caught on camera: A would-be carjacker in Atlanta picking the wrong car owner to mess with.

ABC's Good Morning America allowed a scant 20 seconds on the topic. CBS This Morning focused on the unfolding Clinton scandal in general, but didn't specifically report on the latest news.
